I tried it, though admittedly not further than the second level, since I just haven't into vidya a lot in months and months. It's still pretty wip, and a lot of things haven't been changed yet, but the changes that have been made look good to me, considering the hardware limitations.

I don't think there are more enemies, just some changes to the levels. Pretty minor stuff most of the time that doesn't affect difficulty much.

That's a change in the romhack. The mechanic itself is fine, if unusual, and you get used to it, but it does break the level design in a lot of places because the max jump height is higher. For example you can skip parts of many of the dungeons and almost all of the last dungeon by going through rooms that were intended to be one-way the wrong way.
Also, there is one particular spot in level 1-3 that just straight up trolls you by causing you to jump into a gap in the ceiling so that you fall down. That should probably be fixed. The gap is there originally IIRC, but the new jump mechanic makes it trolly.

My take on her is she works as a deputy for Appleloosa's law enforcement unit. Though she does pretty well in her job she does get nervous when she realizes she's being watched. Which can sometimes lead to smaller goofs. She often wears engraved belt buckles that she thinks are cool but then usually blows up in her face.

When the shoulders lift, they move inward a bit, especially when conveying a delighted/satisfied emotion. Study the anatomy muscles and their movements. I never took a class or anything myself, but looking at other artist's tips helped me immensely. Just take a quick look at "drawing muscles" on pinterest or similar sites.

As mentioned above by another anon: female characters have much thinner necks than males. Also, I shifted her neck over a bit. Remember that you need to visualize the anatomy of your character. The neck connects to the back of the head. F shows how the head lowers and the shoulders rise.

Hands are a whole 'nother tutorial. Those took me literally until last year to feel comfortable with, and I'm still practicing human feet (ankles and toes are a bitch).

See, I was raised by my grandparents, both of whom worked for most of their lives, but around the time I was born, my grandfather had to enter disability because he suffered a shattered hip and pelvis after falling off a train at work, leaving her the primary breadwinner.

Much of the family came from second generation immigrants with impoverished backgrounds that grew up rough and had to claw their way up to middle class.
