Basic intro go.
>What is /mlp/ Waifu Wars?
/mlp/ Waifu Wars is a Wresting League where various mlp canon(possible AU) waifus wrestle each other in a videogame called Fire Pro Returns. So one show you might see Sunset Shimmer vs Starlight Glimmer, and the other you might see Celestia take on Derpy. Think of this like the 4cc, but on a smaller scale and involving only mlp and wrestling... and possibly more explosions.

This place is just discussion about various ideas and such that I have. As I said in the last thread there's several things I want to do.
1. Allowing 'Waifu Coaches' to come in and change the AI of their Waifu. Then again, the FPR system is quite... unique in it's AI, so you'd have to know the game or read some sort of FAQ to run it.
2. Add more Waifus by 2018, at least have Fetus League Going on.
3. Possible time switch for convenience, maybe running two days a week.
4. Betting/Prediction system.
You can give your thoughts on these if you wish, or shoot any ideas you might have my way.

This is an idea that would be... probably a lot of fun to do. Mainly what you'd be tweaking as a coach would be the behavioral AI. See, there's three %age switches.
One that goes from Sensible to Risky(Do you go for possibly the damaging high-risk moves or play it safe)
One that goes from Pinning focused to Damage focused(Do you just quick pin repeatedly instead of doing damage to help your pins)
One that goes from Not Flexible to Flexible(Do you stick to your strengths even when it's not working or do you adapt to your opponents style?)

Here's the AI traits that the waifu coaches would be editing. You'd have 100% to fill of each trait.
PERSONAL TRAITS:
YES <XX%> - This would equal a LOW setting, or low pro wrestling traits (Wrestler will wrestle a less risky match)
NO <XX%> - This would equal a HIGH setting, or high pro wrestling traits (Wrestler will go for more risks)
DISCRETION:
YES <XX%> - This would equal a LOW setting, or low discretion (Wrestler will focus on DAMAGE as opposed to pinning to win)
NO <XX%> - This would equal a HIGH setting, or high discretion (Wrestler will focus more on going for pins with any damage then going for damage moves)
FLEXIBILITY:
YES <XX%> - This would equal a LOW setting, or low flexibility (Wrestler will NOT attempt to ADJUST to his opponent's style to counter him)
NO <XX%> - This would equal a HIGH setting, or high flexibility (Wrestler WILL attempt to ADJUST his style for a better match instead of going to their strengths)

I used Lightning Dust and Indigo Zap considering they have the same exact AI.
Their stats are as follows(Yes/No)
Personal Traits:

Discretion:

Well, I mean it's a PS2 game so probably as complicated as that. I know it can be done though, so... just depends on your CPU. Stats can't really be changed, so it's just the AI stuff that could.
Even so, everything usually breaks down to the stuff.
If you want me to record a few tests with changed AI parts, I could do that for you.

It basically comes down to the league needing to be balanced. Right now there's some extra waifus already made, but not enough for an expansion.
I mean the extras will still be wrestling and stuff, just can't add them to a league until I have enough to balance everything.

How long does it take on average?

It depends on various things.
1. If there's official EQG art, which I use for the attires because you know, need clothes, and the outfits usually work.
2. If there's no official EQG art, I normally look for various fan stuff. Then I find a look I like or combine looks or just makeshift something up.
3. Then I need to copy over the basic model base, this is just pretty much the default model with the moveset. For example, I copy over John Cena to work on Twilight. This is usually easy unless I have NOT decided the base.
4. Then I give the character the same stat/parameter things that I do for everyone.
5. Appearance edits, this can take anywhere from 15-60 minutes depending on how much I think about said character and how complicated it is. Some things just will not work in FPR, so they have to be changed. Multiple tone hair can be complicated.
6. Testing Phase. 800% speed AI vs AI, multiple standard matches to see that the AI's not being the worst AI ever. Normally I look at match length instead of victors. Also, use Undertaker as my ref because he's my 'average' ref. Even across the board.
Total it depends, if I'm focused, it could take 30 minutes, if I'm not digging it, a few hours.
If you're asking where Suri is, I just have her base and some minor things edited, I got sidetracked on other things.
