One thing I wanted to briefly acknowledge is the big difference in response rates towards the beginning and end of the season.

As I'm sure some of you may have noticed the rate of responses consistently went down over the course of the season.

Some of you may be thinking the same thing I was thinking, and that would be does that have some sort of effect on the ratings? I.E. does a smaller pool appear to have a more significant bias than a larger pool or vice versa.

Well, I did this to check, and while it doesn't 100% disprove that hypothesis, it goes a long way to dismissing my fears there. Some of you probably know what this particular graphic represents, and I'm going to assume the rest of you don't care that much, so I won't go into detail unless someone is legitimatley curious.

Now, I'm definitley going to do aggregate charts for Season 7 as well, once I get the data. I'll do them both by themselves, and also intermingled with the Season 6 data for funzies.

Ehh, kind of? Again, it's a pool of respondents thing. If I ask people who watch the episode early to rate it then, then I'm going to have a much harder time getting people to respond to it again when I post it for the official airdate. There are a lot of people who would look at the second poll and ignore it completley, either becuase they fail to understand that I need them to vote in both, or because they simply can't be asked to vote when they already did it once.

You would be surprised how apathetic people can be on 4chan. Case is the fact that I only have 32 responses for the big poll I'm running now, when it only takes 15-20 minutes to go through.

In case you're wondering why reason I'm so obsessive about getting as many responses as possible, it's because the more responses you have in the sample the more likley the sample is representative of the overall population. So the more responses I get, the more likley it is that any conclusions that I may draw from the data are valid. Which, as you can understand, makes it very important to get as much data as possible.

Suffice it to say, the leaks are going to fuck me over to a certain extent no matter what happens, but there's really nothing I can do about it other than keep a stiff upper lip and carry on.

If I'm doing this as a personal project why would I do it for a site I don't personally use? I could probably get more if I did this on Reddit or EQD but I don't have any real interest in their opinions.

That being said, I'm getting a lot of mixed messages here so I'm kind of considering not bothering going forward. I've gotten a lot of kind words and interest doing this, but I've also gotten a lot of people telling me that I'm shitting up the board and that I'm a faggot who should kill myself for wasting everyone's time.

Alright, the poll for this weeks episode is closed up. It got 77 responses, meaning I'm going to have to carefully consider what I'm going to do next week to try to get more responses, though that's something I'll concern myself with and figure out on my own.

In the mean time, we're at 60 responses on the big poll, which I'm.. Well I'm not really pleased with that if I'm being quite honest, but it's something I can accept. If we can get five or ten more responses before midnight (EST) tomorrow night then that would be quite nice.

For not I'm just going to take care of some unrelated things and wait for the 4cc to end for the day, crosslink from there to here, and then call it a day.

There were 77 respondents and the average rating was 7.18. The standard deviation was 1.68 and the "split" was 11.7%/88.3%

And yes, I'm quite aware that the response for this is abysmal from a sample size perspective. If I find that the sample size degrades further I may reconsider switching to posting these polls in the accelerated pony as opposed to doing them on their regularly scheduled airtime. Though I'm skeptical that would even solve the problem so it's not something I'll do lightly.

Thanks to everyone who participated and to everyone who helped with bumping the thread. It's greatly appreciated.

In the end we ended up with 64 responses, so the final total will end up being 65 responses since I fully intend on adding my own responses in post. It's a number that I'm not ecstatic over, but I'm not livid about it either.

As for me releasing the data from this, it'll probably take a little while. Some of you may have noticed I don't like repeating myself, so it shouldn't be a huge surprise when I say that I'm going to take my time to fully process all the data I have before I take the time to release it.

That being said, it'll probably take a few days for me to do that, and I'll probably take a few days to chill for a bit for personal reasons. So I'll probably end up having results for you all next weekend. We'll see how that works out.

In the meantime, I have nothing more for you. So yea, feel free to let the thread die for now. I'm gonna go back to bed.
