Not a student. She learns on her own. This is a really positive change as under Twilight's control she couldn't actually see how this works for real. Now she learned that friendship can be really hard but also so rewarding. Twilight telling her in NSP that she shouldn't use magic to solve a problem is one thing, but learning the very same lesson on her own now, facing consequences, is another. She actually shows character now and can change for better on her own. I think it's the best thing that happened to her ever since reformation. Twilight didn't seem to realise that if she was under Celestia she wouldn't learn anything either. These two episodes tie in together greatly. I think it's a big leap for Starlight's character.

Starlight and Trixie is great as it is. Their friendship is funny and cute, it provides really entertaining episodes and are growing really well with Starlight teaching magic to Trixie. Changing it will ruin something that is already pretty good, something that don't need to be changed at all.

Yeah, Starlight and Sunburst would be cute but it would be really forced as well, childhood friends that now are in love, sounds too cliche to me. Maybe with a really good build up... But the best thing is not even trying it.

With the help of an Anon, I did some edits to the intro segments (lines 1 - 60).

The reason for that is to blend the intro closer to my writing style that eventually developed over the course of writing "Because I Choose To", so now it reads more coherently. The second reason for that is to include new details that I added in later segments, which were not in the original introduction.

I think it was fun, Twilight imagining Glimmer as a powerful "tough girl" isn't unexpected. What's even greater is that in all of these fantasies Starlight was the good guy. This segment was much harder to write than I expected, but I am quite happy with how it turned out.
