>" Core MY LITTLE PONY revenues increased, but were offset by declines in EQUESTRIA GIRLS."
Where were you when Equestria Girls was put in its rightful place?
>eqg is shit
but we already knew this
>mfw hooves will always be better
Just you wait until the new Mini dolls really take off.
>Even kids know those movies are pure shit
The dolls where utter shit, so not surprise.
We have to see how these >>26391682 do before we can say they gonna put that franchise to rest.
Equestria Girls cost Hasbro 224 Million dollars of loss. Kek
Say goodbye to Equestria Girls 5. The fourth installment is the last one, fagots.
Never as long as it makes money.
Take a look at what >>26391659 said.
"Core MY LITTLE PONY revenues increased, but were offset by declines in EQUESTRIA GIRLS"
Ponies themselves are on the rise, but that's balanced by EQG being shit. Therefore, EQG is in danger, but ponies are safe.
We're not getting any more EQG movies, but the show will live.
Are you high?
Generation 4 may end with the movie. But, there's a really good reason why we put a number at the end of the word "generation".
Hint: It has to do with the fact that there have been 4 separate series for the fucking thing.
"MLP", whatever you think that means, has ended three times already.
The end of a television show has absolutely nothing to do with the company's ownership over the license. We have no reason to believe that Hasbro is cancelling the entire franchise.
We also have no reason to believe that the show is being cancelled either... when it's currently a cash cow.
Ponies are a cash cow. EQG is an equally-big cash sink.
shartstain nothingperson. cease your idiocy, tardface. no hooves IS a fucking meme. demented shit-nostril. it's not an objective truth universally accepted, its compulsive trash only liked by loser people like you. get cancer.
Post yfw they cancel EQG4 an discontinue the toy line
What are we gonna use for blaming that everything is shit tho?
I wanted a second wave of the Minis tho.
>Meme miniseries finally dies for good
There is a god? Who knew.
>no more Flash and those shitty alien looking "humans"
On the girls category, how much was lose on furby? And how much on EQG? It wasn't just half of 54 mi for the both of them?

They shouldn't have tried to make knock offs of MH because they could've had better shit on their own, and they proved this with the new dolls.
It's high school and teenagers. They're likely to suck all the weeb moe fans without even trying.
The hilarious thing was that Equestria Girls basically existed to bait Mattel into doing something stupid that would piss Disney off.
>Make line of fantasy/magic inspired dolls
>Mattel has to compete
>Mattel makes like of dolls based on fairy tales, pissing off Disney
>Disney takes all of their franchises to Hasbro
Just as planned, EqG served its purpose. Can be tossed now. It facilitated the biggest shakeup in the toy industry in three decades, now it isn't needed.
>Tfw Shimmer is kill
I'm... honestly not sure how to feel. The spinoff itself can burn for all I care, that is, if it wasn't for a (very) few moments with Shimmer in the second and third movie that actually felt... genuine.
I dunno, maybe it's just because everything else is so shit that those moments stand out, but it seems like a waste of a potentially great character.
Why would Mattel create Ever After High to compete with Equestria Girls? Wasn't Monster High outselling EqG anyway? Also, I doubt Ever After High was the only reason why Mattel lost the Disney Princess franchise to Hasbro. I guess Mattel must have royally fucked up for Disney to stop doing business with them.
>tfw EQG was a gambit
>tfw it worked
>tfw it's not Hasbro that were idiots, but Mattel
I doubt Hasbro had some kind of master plan that would eventually get them the Disney Princesses franchise. It is more Mattel that shot themselves in the foot by creating something that proved to be direct competition to Disney's own franchise. There was also the issue of Barbie's sales declining, which made Disney think they wouldn't be able to give Disney's franchises the attention they are due. Sure, Ever After High was successful, but it came at the price of losing Disney's merchandising deal. It also came out in 2013, which is the same year that EqG came out, which leads me to think that Mattel only heard rumors that Hasbro was coming up with a new franchise, so they felt the need to create a new franchise themselves, and quickly at that. It wouldn't have mattered what kind of franchise Hasbro would even come up with. It was the sheer fact that Hasbro was creating something new and potentially dangerous that made Mattel get cold feet.
A problem is also that the movies are a yearly thing, that and the release of teh toys and the movies wasn't coherent last year which only hurts sales. BUt I doubt Hasbro is going to cancel it, I bet it still makes them money and I bet with the release of the mini toys it will probably boost sales.
Too good to happen.
Remember, if it came to a choice of compromise with MLP
EQG is apart of that, or something as extreme as the untimely death of every employee's children from a stage 4 cancer for Hasbro, they will always choose the untimely death of every employee's children from a stage 4 cancer.
It's not the acticle you need to subcribe to, is it?
Do you really believe this?
Here is the insider info: Ponies has been losing money for over a year now. They are using the lack of popularity of EQG and that it opened weak to blame the loss on it.
Meanwhile, behind the scenes, they are scrambling to figure out how to reinvigorate the "cooling" trend for MLP.
well, at least i have 4 movies where 1 is bad, 1 is based, and the other is average.
if the 4th is good, at least it would be a nice goodbye
fuck the toys
I listened to the entire Investor's webcast because I have nothing to do.
MY LITTLE PONY FIM sales increased across all major areas and they also saw good profit from PLAYSKOOL MY LITTLE PONY (it's a new line of tiny ponies with big heads that are too big for toddlers to swallow), but the Equestria Girls toyline took a bit of that and nearly offset all of that growth, and the Girl's category all around suffered from a sharp decrease in Furby too, which was atleast a expected drop, the EQG drop was not foreseen and thus hurt more expectations.
EQG Mini dolls so far have been selling well, but CEO points out that they have to wait and see to see if they'll keep selling even after the "new thing high" ends.
No talks about the MLP show itself, but Hasbro commented that they've been able to make some good deals Worldwide with streaming services and are selling more episodes of ther shows, which lead to an increase in profitablity from their cartoon studio. For the first time they're making profit directly from the sale of the shows they made instead of just from the toys the shows helped sell, so they will look into investing more money into media production in the future.
Licensing for My Little Pony also got good numbers in 2015, it's right now one of their biggest licensing brand and is right up there in popularity worldwide with Transformers, which is amazing since it's really rare for a brand without a theatrical movie to have as much licensing going for it as one that does.
FIM toys, show and the toys for toddlers are selling really well even after all those years.
EQG sold like shit, but even then they're willing to see if the new toyline based on it does well or not instead of taking any harsh decisions right now.
In 2016 they start selling toys of the Disney Princess rights they got too, so CEO's admitedly not too worried about EQG's dolls failing since they have another doll brand now too.
I don't particulary care if EQG exists or not. I haven't seen a single one of those movies, all I know is that it's animation looks terrible. I'm mostly happy to hear the brand is still growing in sales even 5 years in.
>For the first time they're making profit directly from the sale of the shows they made instead of just from the toys the shows helped sell, so they will look into investing more money into media production in the future.
>investing more money into media production in the future.
Oh yes, one more important bit that showed up around the end:
They will have presentations at an event happening this end of week called Toy Fair, they will talk about the future of all of their brands, Pony included, there, and also talk about some new toylines they've got.
So keep your eyes open for the Weekend! We might get either some good news or something so terrible we will have a healthy fun dose of shitstorming in here! We win either way!
The animation isn't going to magically be better just because it's not in a teaser.
Furthermore the setting and story are boring and the art direction is abysmal, the people still look like malformed aliens, I have no interest in watching it, just let it go dude.
>no more Flash
you mean no more "Brad" anon.
>The animation isn't going to magically be better just because it's not in a teaser.
If you're talking about the shorts, yes there can be a leap in quality since those would be quicker to make and weren't part of the actual movies.
>Furthermore the setting and story are boring and the art direction is abysmal, the people still look like malformed aliens
Personal taste aside, >opinions are far from objective truths. You are perfectly entitled to not like things, you are perfectly entitled to not watch something you feel you won't enjoy anyway, just don't get pissy when you're called out on your autism.
>what is generic "high-fantasy" with a mix of a few other genres
>what is group of friends fight monsters of the week with plot-device "friendship" powers
>what is a dull palette of pastel colors on designs simple enough for flash animation
with admittedly a bit more variety, thanks to the additional genres it takes inspiration from.
>the ponies look like malformed aliens
You can chalk up how the human versions fall into the uncanny valley because they're supposed to look like humans, however I assure you that the ponies in the show share little resemblance to real ponies save for similar anatomical features. Stylized, just as the humans are, because pic related.
I wasn't talking about the shorts, I was talking about the actual trailer for the movie, it looked as bad as anything else I've seen from it.
If you are fully aware that what I say is my opinion then why are you getting so defensive and projecting because I think a movie looks terrible? You seriously going to call me autistic because of something as small as that?
I wanted to stay civil, but Jesus man. You're a bigger pussy than the one King Kong crawled out off.
And no, that last part of your post is completely baseless and weak. I've seen cartoony humans that don't look awful, I've seen art direction in flash cartoons that isn't as lifeless and bland as EQG looks, stylization is no excuse for ugly, stiff and unappealing. As you said it yourself, the ponies of the show look nothing like real ponies, but were designed by competent cartoonists that know appealing shapes, proportions and the basics of animation. EQG cannot make that claim by any means.
Though I admit that now I think even less of those films than I did before if you are the kind of person they attract.
>Though I admit that now I think even less of those films than I did before if you are the kind of person they attract.
Good, we don't need irrational autists. It's just a shame you're the kind of person MLP managed to attract.
If this was actually their plan all along, then holy fuck, it's the most ingenious "merely pretending to be retarded" possible!
I love a good conspiracy theory. We tinfoil now.
Good riddance. The movies were mediocre but definitely not worthy of the amount of EQG posts they have spawned. Hopefully EQG posters will be an endagered species in couple years or so.
lucky trips confirms Shimmer will be saved from EqG and return to Equestria!
The problem is, I still want them to keep EqG out of the show proper. Yes, I know, I'm unpleasable.
Maybe they could make a second spinoff where Shimmer and SciTwi become a portal-jumping task force of awesome. Or something.
According to this, Pinkie and Rainbow are black curvy hairs teens...
How one can love EqG?
Thank you Anon. Nice and concise, it's perfect.
hasbro's mistake was making EqG like MH
it could have been so much better
hopefully EqG4 will be when they've graduated and have to deal with people getting random magic powers or another creature(s) that had been banished to that world
there's some potential there still
just got off to a bad start
if they can build on the whole magic having been added to their world, it could be good
I'd honestly be disappointed. Rainbow Rocks and Friendship Games were decent. I'm interested to see if they could pull off another decent one, or even make something good.
Really, I'd miss Sunset Shimmer and dorky Twilight the most if they cut EqG. Sunset Shimmer is fleshed out and dorky Twilight could be pretty interesting.
EqG has potential to be a success. It's a spin-off of a successful tv series with a good writing staff and a huge fanbase behind it. It'll be a real shame to see the series go, especially when it was starting to get good.
I'll also miss the loads of EqG greens if they decide to cut the movie.
ITT: EQDFAGS ON SUICIDE WATCH.
but it's already too late, Flash has already leaked over, so even if you get rid of Brad your Twaifu is still taken.
> the year is 2025
> Hasbro is now one of the world's largest media conglomerates
> you watch President Donald Sanders leaving office and Kanye West being inaugurated on the Hasbro News Network
They already have Glimmer though who is pretty much the same kind of character.
Also look at dome of the new toys being unveiled. Seems Hasbro is finally selling toys specifically to Ponyfags now. Which includes a Chrysalis toy. And they look pretty good.
"Guardians of Harmony"
yup, this toy line proves that they will have battle armor in the show for S6
this gives the anamatic credit now
I hope their designs have changed since then
Chrysalis and the bug pones are coming back!
