>Hey Anon, let's talk aboutParallel Universes!
>>26170318
There's one where you're a talking slug living inside a village called "Buttville"
>>26170318
In another universe you are a reclused aspie that makes Fluttershy look like a social butterfly.
Dont
you
dare
Muh QPUs, though
>>26170360
I think that Twilight might already be an aspie
>>26170364
>Anon, in another universe, we 're gonna raise Scuttlebugs together!
>>26170318
"Twiple Sundae, you're drunk on the science things. Go home."
>"This IS my home"
"Not anymore"
I want /v/ to leave
>>26170318
Yeah, there's this extremely rare alternate universe where OP is not a faggot. No idea if it actually exists, though.
>>26170318
The problem with the theory of infinite parallel universes is that it disproves itself, because there must be at least one universe that would successfully cause the destruction of all others.
>>26170845
But what about the universe that prevents that universe from destroying all others.
Checkmate.

>>26170318
I love this video so much that I predicted the spoiler correctly.
>>26170894
The problem is that there can be a universe that stops that universe from stopping the first one, etc.
So basically all universes exist in a constant state of destruction, creation, and continuation.
>>26170845
Not just that, but by logical reasoning the 7th dimension is the point at which the set of fundamental laws of nature (ie the four essential forces) becomes open. In our 7th dimensional subset, this is no trouble. But rationally, there should be a 7th dimensional subset in which the abstract concept of parallel universes becomes null. It's a "set of all sets that don't contain themselves" sort of philosophical paradox.
>>26170318
>yfw the mane six become QPU misaligned
>>26170985
I think it's more that all the parallel universes are a countably infinite set, and there are just none that can possibly negate the existence of other universes.
Oooo, this topic interests me.
I made a thread on mlpforums not too long ago wondering if we could determine the total number of measurably different universes using the size of the universe, how long the universe will last until it reaches the Poincare Recurrence Time, and stating that the smallest measurable difference between two universes is that for one Planck second, one Planck volume was different somehow from its spacial counterpart. Find all the combination of differences you can have for all Planck volumes, for all Planck seconds, and you find the number of measurably different universes.
>>26171325
Just for mental reference, how would this staggeringly large number stack up to things like Graham's number or TREE(3)?
>>26171325
The problem is that that only works with universes that have the same, or at least similar laws of physics. All you need is to get one universe where the laws of physics are different, and you know have an unknown variable
>>26170845
unless it's impossible for the universes to interact with each other, or it's impossible to destroy a universe
>>26171175
>countably infinite
that's an oxymoron
First you gotta build up speed for twelve hours
How many of you are from the universe where they're the Berenstein Bears?
>infinite universes
>still no universe where I have gf
>>26171462
theoretically, there are some universes where you ARE gf
>>26171462
>A shit ton of universes where you are happy with youre waifu
>This is not one of them.
>>26171591
There's also a universe where your dying body is being used as a fleshlight by the mexican cartel after they sold the organs you don't REALLY need so idk it all kinda balances out
>>26170395
>IWTRSBWTS
>>26171591
>A shit ton of universes where you are happy
At some point in space we are all simultaneously cumming inside rainbow dash for all eternity.
>>26170318
Did you make sure your syncing speed matches all the platform elevations?
>>26171614
That's ok. I live, I die, I live again.
>>26170318
How does this board even still exist?
>>26172559
pray that he's out there
somewhere...
>>26172567
Hope, horses, and hyperspeed walking
>>26172567
with the power of friendship
>>26172567
It doesn't in most universes.
This one is special.
>>26170364
Shut up, """""Henry"""""
>>26170318
Sure Twolit, how did you feel about this summers big Marvel event, Secret Wars? It sure did have some parallel universes
>>26170318
Ok
>>26171364
Actually I'd think it would still be tiny compared to numbers as hysterically massive as those 2.
>>26171385
Sadly, this is true.
I wish I was born in the universe where only /tg/ took a liking to pony and seasons 1 and 2+ weren't mediocre to bad.
>>26170318
Can we please stop with the "Multiverse theory means every possible universe exists" meme?
For fucks JUST BECAUSE THERE'S AN INFINITE SET OF POSSIBILITIES DOES NOT MEAN EVERY POSSIBILITY EXISTS.
Want proof?
Imagine every number between 0 and 1. Where do you even start? 0,1? We can always add 00,1 and then we can add 0,001 and then 0,000000000... you get my point. No matter how many numbers you write you can always add another one. This means the set of numbers between 0 and 1 is infinite.
However do you see the number 2 in this set? No you don't because an infinite set of numbers does not necessarily contain every number. In fact if you picked a random number of every number then the chance of picking a number between 0 and 1 the chance would be infinitely small.
It's the same with universes. Just because there's an infinite set of universes does not mean it contains every possible universe. This means that the universe that destroys all other universe probably doesn't exist. And the universe were you live a perfect life with your waifu probably doesn't exist either.
So please stop with this fucking stupid meme that serves as nothing but speculative exercises for philosophy majors and masturbatory fantasies for pseudo-intellectual 12 year olds. The person who first thought of the multiverse theory should just have kept it to themselves instead of releasing it on this braindead society. God fucking damnit.
>>26174767
Numbers aren't even real, that proves nothing.
>>26174767
That proves nothing at all. Who says that all possible universes can't fit within the infinite space between "0" and "1"
How do you even relate the concept of integer math to the physical realities of an infinite number of possible universes?
You don't and you can't prove shit.
>>26170318
Just think: Somewhere out there, she's waiting for you.
>>26174829
Please no.
I don't want to lose another bike.
MEANWHILE, IN A PARALLEL UNIVERSE, WHERE THE WORLD IS RULED BY HYPER INTELLIGENT HORSE PEOPLE
