The show gave them a few background sights, but Slice of Life made canon that Doctor Hooves and Derpy are very close friends while Rose remains as a random acquitance.

They don't even talk to each other, while SoL showed us that Derpy knows about the Doctor's long life and his time traveling stuff and accepts it as something normal.
Meanwhile, after 5 seasons Roseluck still cries and faints over the most trivial things and that's her entire character developement ever.

Veredict: Roseluck is nothing but a background nod while Derpy is canonically close to the Doctor.
