Will we get a movie tie-in video game, /mlp/?
Shrek 2 game was obviously oriented on target audience, yet it was not terrible enough to be playable and even winnable.
So while we are not likely to have a top tier product, we are likely to have a somewhat enjoyable official MLP game, which is better what we have now.
movie tie-ins are usually: movie story + filler story, mashed together. so if the movie is shit and aimed at toddlers the game will be as well.
There will be an update for the Gameloft town building game. There will also be King-developed Candy Crush Saga clone unfortunately named Pony Crush Saga that will be pulled from the App store in less than twelve hours and renamed My Little Pony: Friendship Saga
If singles your curse is reversed, and it is you who will suck instead
Odds are, it'll look like an abridged version of Disney Infinity, mostly an open world with multiple missions and a more basic story line.
Now, if they do it like Infinity and have collectibles that let you play as any canon ponies you own, I might get on board.
Must you fill my heart with hope only for the inevitable crushing disappointment.
I was referring to the shittastic licensed games that come out for kids movies. I'm convinced developers keep two or three shitty 3d platformers on the shelf and just reskin one of them when their publisher shits out an order for a tie in game for the new Disney movie that's coming out in three months.
I don't want a shitty game, but it's the best you could realistically hope for.
10 years ago kids movies were pretty much guaranteed to come with a few crappy licensed games, but nowadays they just put out a freemium cash-vampire cow clicker wearing a skin of its property so thin you can count the bends in its intestines and make way more money.
