Summoner isn't in Mechcommander Gold, sadly. It is in Mechcommander 2 though.

Though in all honesty I still prefer Timber Wolf over Summoner. It's more agile and has a more versatile array of weapons. Same speed as a medium mech, lots of firepower, and pretty decent armor.

I read the Thessalonica Legacy.

The prologue is your standard BTech novel.
The gro of the fanfic is pure fan bliss.
The end is kind of... like, Twilight lashes out at this guy with a vibroblade and almost kills him in cold blood because of some massacre that she's been told about.
But aside from that one nitpick of a WTF moment, if you enjoyed any of the BTech novels, you should easily enjoy this.
