I am talking about hosting my own tekkit latest server for horsefuckers.
Vanilla problem is that it ends too fast, in tekkit you can play during 300 hours and barely have touched a bit of all the mods.
The downsides are some exploits, more bugs and the need for a better computer, but we managed to run a small tekkit server with just 4gb of ram in a 8 dollar host.

So heres what i currently have set up in the Group/class department

When a player joins the server they are but simple [NewFag]'s, player can then choose class by doing /unicorn, /pegasus or /mudpony (these commands/names will probably change).
afterwards the effects of that class should immediately take hold and players will have a tag in chat showing which class they belong to.

Additionally, you could just have the max be iron armor with diamond swords. Makes it a lot easier to become equal, and losing resources slightly less devastating.

Anyhow, I support the towny idea. It's annoying as fuck to use, but it does have a very good war system that both prevents people from using autism cubes, and gives incentive to defend your land instead of logging out. It also prevents people from wrecking your shit while you're logged out. However a tl;dr guide on how to use it would be amazing, because it's fidgety as all hell.

I wonder how towny with the flans mod would work? I guess we'd have to disable planes, and enable flying minecarts, but it'd probably finally make tanks useful.

Side note, how many people in this thread were here for this little event back in May/June was it? Last summer at any rate.
