So I finally started playing Pride of Justice with the intent of beating it, and it was all fun and games for like the first 2 stages and then stage 3 hit me. You start with that Guido guy with his cool black Masouki and his new chill theme song, and then you proceed to get your ass handed to you by a bunch of grunt bees like, immediately.

And then it's when I remembered, oh yeah, this is the game they made super cheap so you have to buy their training mode dlc. Well fuck me. Like, I know that you're supposed to run away and wait for reinforcements, and that's what I did, just counterattacking one of them and dodging everybody else, but the motherfucker can't even kill ONE fucking bee on his own in 3 turns! What the fuck is this bullshit?

So, yeah, I could use some tips. I remember I heard the Shutedonias route is the less bullshit one cause you can use that Gaen guy to summon golems and whatnot, and I guess all the old games rules of "fuck the weak units and focus on the strong ones" apply here more than ever, so I just do that? How does the splitting work? I'm only getting one third of the cast for most of the game or what? I guess I should focus heavily on Granveil, Gaddess, Solgady and Galgardia then? Anybody else?

If you're going Shutedonias make sure to have Gaen kill all the Golemon to catch more for your own use, make sure that he kills them when they first show up for the secret to work.

Also put money into Cybuster and Valsione as well because Possession and Ryuune having Yell which in Masoukishin is fucking broken.

Also make sure to have Yanglong use Yell once he learns it.

The Twins are good, they get hidden weapons if I recall. Red one goes for melee and blue one goes for range so gear them up accordingly.

I don't ever use Precia because she never performs well outside of regular SRW.

As an extra note you want to pretty much upgrade the shit out of Remia(Galguardia) because she's pretty much the secondary protag of that route along with Tyutti.

You might also want to put money on Jaohm's railgun to upgrade the weapon to the bazooka, you will need it later in all routes regardless of who uses it. Gennacy will suck for the most part but Trace makes it a damn great unit.

Gennacy stays in Jaohm in Shutedonias and Trace uses it in all other routes so keep that in mind.

The biggest advice I can give for PoJ is to get all the SR points, if you don't restart or game over because the SRs are how you get items.

Also don't be afraid to Game Over Trick because PoJ fucking hates you.

Also make sure to get the combination moves because that's probably the strongest moves for the units involved.

and this may or may not seem important but for any unit you use make sure to get their rank up weapons first the more moves you have the better.

PoJ is only hard at the start because you're piss weak and the enemies are tough. Once you get far enough into the game it becomes...I won't say easy, but it becomes manageable.

CotE's not quite as bad with the rocket tag because enemy attack power is downscaled by a fair amount, although I did the cheap bastard thing and gave every unit (except Duraxyll and Valsioga) 30% HP Regen as the FUB. Combine that with Support Defense and nobody will ever die.

I know it's not the primary topic of these threads, but with no real new SRW game on the horizon, let's talk about other mecha SRPG or mecha-centric games in general.

Have you guys checked out Vanguard Bandits? I think most /m/ regulars are probably very familiar with it, but for the sake of discussion I'll do my best to summarize.

It's a PS1 SRPG by Human Entertainment (Clock Tower series, and tons of other games).

Set in a fantasy world, diverging routes, tons of cool giant robots although I'm not quite sure who's responsible for the designs.

Overall, a solid game worth checking out if you wanna scratch that Mecha SRPG itch.

There's a raid event now that happens once a month I think, and you need lots of units with diffferent abilities, so keeping the SSR and leveling them up might be a good idea.
Don't know about SRs, I just sell most of them, but I know some are supposed to be good on conquest mode, but I'm no expert.

A lot of SSRs end up being just bad, and even the good ones are always overshadowed by 1 specific unit on each event banner that gains almost double the stats its peers have once uncapped.
Getting an SSR on X-O is hardly special, it's just incentive to keep on playing until you actually get a good one.
I used to save up a lot of crystals to roll on event step-ups last I played to the point I got enough of those to never even need to roll ever again.

Sometimes. One of the most useful SSRs to keep around for the Arena is an R+ who's been in the game for like a year and rarely ever gets buffed, though, so it's all over the place.

Stopped reading there. Pulling a full buff on Vaikungfu is not as easy as anyone think. Vaikungfu can easily get killed with any Taikis area hissatsu.

Depends on the price. Most copies are still sixty to eighty dollars it seems, not including shipping. Personally I don't think the games are worth more than thirty dollars (being generous), so I'd give it a year or two for a price decrease.

Yeah Z2.1 has quite a bit of route splits in it and the involved series are more or less fixed outside of a couple cases. Z2.2 lessens the amount of route splits but in exchange its basically Super Robots vs Real Robots when it comes to splits.

So latest Gacha is where you pay 1 Crystal for 10 units, which among them are Taiki. 1% chance of getting one, though. So don't expect anything. Furtheremore, you can only use Omega Crystals Purchased at the Google/Apple store.

Fortunately, I can pretty much do that since I do earned $6 of cash after trying Google's Survey thingy (you do get pad in a few cents, but it accumulates over time). So I bought 6 Crystals for $5.50. Tried, the Gacha and this is what I get.
