Actually, scratch that. A P-Bandai Reincar would sting, but not enough.
The Reincar is a regular release, but it's the 1/100 Grimgerde/Reincar kit so you have to pay twice as much even though you only want to build the Reincar.

You know, the thing that always irked me about the RX-78-2 is that the cockpit hatch looks like there's actually two, one on top of the lower one, yet only the lower one is real. GMs have a single "chest cockpit hatch" appearance, but the Gundam doesn't.

The x-1 was never a p-bandai, pretty much all p bandai are based on or are add ons for an existing regular release (hazel uses mk II 2.0 parts). I meant the various x-2 and x-3. Those reused the x-1 parts and never got regular releases despite multiple reprints, which was my point. The x-2 was very popular and yet they still made the x-3 a p bandai.

Don't count on the hazel ever getting a regular release. Once its p bandai it's doomed.

You should have clarified more then, how the hell would anyone know. The backpack is more prominent than the rifle moving sideways.

The exercise is simple logic. Saw off that front part, drill into the back piece. Place a small circular rod there or even a square, glue it in. Make an appropriate hole on the front end to have the rod on the back piece slide into the front end. It is now able to be moved to various positions by removing, adjusting the angle and placing it back on.

If this sound confusing I can make a simple picture, but if you're too lazy to execute it that's on you.

I'll be honest, it's horrible. Think of why scratches are there, and give everything weight. It's just marker smudges. Look at military vehicles to get the right idea. And also, weathering without painting tends to look stupid in general because it's on bare plastic and stands out. Paint a model before touching weathering.

It's not necessary, but it makes panel lining a bit faster. It also, in my experience, makes neater lines and isn't as prone to bleeding during topcoating as the regular markers are. However, pour type markers have some weird flow problems, sometimes ink flows great, but the other times it barely flows at all

Look for acrylic paints. Since you're probably handbrushing you can ignore painting the white parts and just paint straight onto the white plastic. I used vallejo model color paints primarily on pic related as they're easy to work with and can be thinned with water. Get the colors you need to start.

Use a small brush for details (not one of those shitty black nylon ones either).

For star wars kits you really want to do a panel wash for the details (Doing all the panel lining by hand would ve enormously tedious). For mine I put down an acrylic gloss coat (I airbrush it on but tamiya or similar non-enamel hobby brand would workfor spray cans) and used tamiya panel line accent grey.

Also pick up a flat coat to spray it down with at the end (Remove the clear parts first or they'll fog up). Tamiya and mr.superclear both work really well for this.

Keep in mind that if you're buying all of this from scratch its not going to be cheap.

For weathering I'd highly advise watching some guides on weathering guides on youtube first. Especially star wars related ones.

Here is a list of translated colors for that kit.

For weathering, I like to use pastels. The Falcon hull has a lot of streaking, which pastels are great for. You can also mix pastels with water and a drop of dishwashing fluid to make a great wash that will settle in all the detail on the Falcon.

You know, it's funny. I've seen so much conflicting information from people about that. Some say that the small amount you'd use just for panel lining won't have any effect unless you use too much, others say they've used it on dozens of kits bare plastic and it's had no effect at all, others say they've tried it and the kits practically disintegrated in their hands, and others still say that since the manufacturer warns against it they've never tried it on bare plastic and its just better to be safe than sorry.

I tried it once on a cheap HG just to test it out, and it's still sitting on my shelf perfectly fine and intact. I even went and messed with it just now and it's fine.

You can just give it a quick gloss coat and the plastic will be protected. I haven't used it on bare plastic since though because of all the horror stories and the wash actually flows better and more evenly over a clear gloss coat.
