Video doesn't have me reinstalling the game everytime, but yeah, the visuals are pretty fine for ps3 emulation. The crashing and freezing in various menu and cutscene situations is the problem.
And it isn't very intensive either, I'm running an i5 and 750ti so the only issue is recording it without using too much cpu.

Can someone give me a refresher on Shu's lore?

Puppet for evil god.
Do various background things that sorta help people.

Get revived by cult, except not a puppet anymore.
>>
>>15701088
Shu's mother is from Earth, his father is from Ra Geas. Shu's mother offered him as a sacrifice to be able to go back to Earth. Shu then made a pact with Volkruss - he would give him extreme intelligence, but Shu's will would be under his control. Shu went to Earth, got a friendship with Bian Zoldark, who helped him build the Granzon, and the rest is history.

Shu's motives were always trying to rid himself of Volkruss' control. When he died in SRW 3/OG Gaiden, Luozorl (someone from the Volkruss cult) revived him. I think the revival weakened Volkruss' influence over Shu, but it didn't shut it down completely.

The shield patch fixes a bug in the game that makes Shield Defense... I forget if the issue was that it was totally useless or if it didn't work right most of the time or something, but there's a bug and it fixes that. So no real reason not to get it.

The balance patch changes a bunch of shit, I don't quite remember but IIRC someone in a much older /srwg/ made that.

SRW is dead nigga. X-O had made so much cash they probably considered making more console games is pretty much worthless and it'd be a copy-paste festival anyway. Pouring all those assets into gachashit will be much more profitable.
>>
>>15701905
Obviously the wait is because the 3DS team is busy at work making their next game on the Switch complete with an english release

>>15701927
Like I said, they could at least give us a small fucking cocktease, something to imply that the 3DS team is still on it.
>>
>>15701925
I don't think they could make more money off of X-O than they're already making. What would extra assets even get them when they've already got enough for steady updates for a steady cash flow?
Even if the proper SRW games don't make as much money as X-O does, making them is still more profitable than not making them.
>>
>>15701940
>making them is still more profitable than not making them
The problem is doing all those animations take a lot of practice and time too, not just budget.
Meanwhile for each week they can just draw a female pilot on a skimpy suit or a bikini, put the same old 3D mech model and animations in the gacha and money will still flow in steadily.
>>
>>15701947
But they're doing both, aren't they? Raking in profits from the cheap-to-produce gacha game, and raking in more profits from the more difficult to produce proper SRW titles.

Assuming it's another 3 new series, let me take my bet:

- "LEL SURPRISE" series for those Z-tickets: Robot Girls Z

Might Gaine is pretty much a given for this month or next month, they gotta use those shitty V's busts again somehow.
Gundam X will be in sooner or later, especially when Turn A's already in.
RGZ is highly probable since they've just announced multiple projects for the series and it's kinda too soon to use Movie Toei Mazinger or too boring with Shin Mazinger / ZERO.
That said I find those 3 choices boring myself and I'm hoping for some much more crazier shit.

As I recall, it's just a few moments from the final episode stitched together. And in exchange for that new attack, you also lack like three other attacks. In Impact, you had the Cutters, the arm spikes, and the Dangaiken as a regular attack - none of those are in K.

Meanwhile literally all of the characters who aren't Dangaioh pilots or Gil got cut out too, even though the main characters know the Garrimond pirates should be around. You know how people hem and haw about Banjo soloing the Meganoids offscreen in Z3-2? Well, in K, the fucking VILLAINS soloed the Dangaioh villains offscreen.
>>
I want to see the (so far) DS-only series like Koutetsushin Jeeg, Gaiking LoDM, Golion or GUNxSWORD again. I'd take a X-O appearance, sure, but only if they don't stop there with those shows and never use them again in a main SRW. That would fucking break my ink-black heart.

>making them is still more profitable than not making them

Bored. Been letting my imposter post too much lately, allowing the ennui to set in. Also, Crusader Kings loses its appeal when you're not allowed to form empires properly. I think its time for a return to SRW.

Vote for me, my apathetic pretties. Vote or Mattman Will Win:

1) Go back to long-dormant SRWD play and make Usso the mass murderer he was always meant to be.
2) Go back to grinding through the Don Sauzer fight in A Portable, and get a playthrough with the 2nd playthrough complete, in anticipation of the translation patch in 2077.
3) Get a working PS2 emulator and play more of the Alpha series, which has been hyped so much even thought everyone has nothing but complaints about them now.
4) Play Z1 because it will make me cum all the time apparently.
5) Do my 6th playthrough of K and literally use nothing but Cagalli, Dangaioh and the Molga Sentai.
6) Try the 3DS games assuming the emulators are ok.
7) Is there Vita emulation? I might try out this Moon Dwellers thing, get me some Train Hero action.

>That's likely not how shields were supposed to work in J, but it's better than shields being literally useless.

It's similar to how it works in D - in that, Shields give you the effect of Guarding, but if you're already guarding it won't help.

>*Pilots in J have modifiers that act as bonuses toward slash away, shoot down, and shields.

Huh, that's neat. Do you have a list?
>>
>>15702652
Sorry, post deleted because I mixed up the formula.

>The shield patch fixes a bug in the game that makes Shield Defense... I forget if the issue was that it was totally useless or if it didn't work right most of the time or something, but there's a bug and it fixes that. So no real reason not to get it.

By default, shields do nothing in J. They CAN activate, but they'll never reduce the damage taken. If I remember correctly, the patch makes it to where shields reduce damage taken by 50% if they activate on their own, and by 75% if you guard with a shield. That's likely not how shields were supposed to work in J, but it's better than shields being literally useless.

Shield activation rate for allied units is: (Defender's Skill - Attacker's Skill) / 2 + Pilot Mod*

For enemy units, divide by 4 instead of 2. The maximum activation rate is 50%.

*Pilots in J have modifiers that act as bonuses toward slash away, shoot down, and shields.

Worth noting is that even the perfect bible says shields are useless, thus no damage reduction formula is shown.

>発動した場合は戦闘アニメでシールド防御をするエフェクトが見られるが、これによってとくにダメージを軽減したるなどの効果はない。

"When activated, the shield will appear in the battle animation, but this doesn't actually reduce the damage taken or have any other effect.
I can pull up some examples of the sword / gun / shield mods, if you want.

I was playing some old Banpresto gamesthis Monday, and hell if they didn't publish a lot of lazy stuff.

Real Robot Regiment:
>main character is useless
>your companions can't take damage enemy attacks, save for a few ones
>if the character you're controlling dies, it's game over, no matter how many companions you have left
>companions just disappear out of the blue
>no way to skip dialogue
>if you die, you have to begin from the first Area of a Stage (some stages have as much as 4 Areas)
>you have to read that dialogue all over again

Super Hero Retsuden:
>slap-em up
>grids
>wait for enemy to use 2 specials
>of the 120 or so stages, at least 2/3 are filler
>invisible mines that can only be seen by 2 or 3 characters

Great Battle VI:

All Aestivalis pilots, Kira, Athrun: +5 Slash, +10 Shoot

All Brain Powerd pilots: +8 Slash, +10 Shoot

Most Layzner pilots: +10 Shoot
*Julia: +10 Shoot, +5 Shield (the book also lists +8 Slash, but this is likely a misprint; I don't think any Layzner units can parry)

Mwu, Cagalli, Calvina, Touya, Al-Van, Fu-Lu, Jua-Mu: +5 Slash, +10 Shield
*The "plus" variants of the Fury grunt pilots also have the same bonus.

Kenichi, Kouji, Sai, Domon, George, Shinobu, Tetsuya, etc.: +10 Slash

Chibodee: +8 Shoot, +8 Shield

Sousuke, Melissa: +10 Slash, +5 Shoot
Bonta-kun, Kurz: +10 Shoot

I guess I could compile them into "types," and put them on Akurasu, or something. This is nowhere near being a complete listing, so it could take some time.

>>
>>15705167
Damn. I only beat the game once, so I don't have a handle on where, say, Master Therion goes, or Misao Kurusu, or Will, or anyone who isn't Lu Bu/Diaochan or Ishigami (and maybe Luxe? I don't think her ending changes whether you get her or not).

>>15705171
Both are fine, but they're pretty different characters from the original anime. Same general gist character-wise, but different execution and voice actors and shit.

Honestly, most SRWs that bother to use the original Getter and Mazinger don't even use the original plot. Mazinger's been seriously plotted in one game and a minor factor in a few, Getter's been in literally two. G and Great Mazinger are more prevalent overall, but they're not exactly complex plots - you can probably save watching the old 70s shows until a bit later.

Does the Nadesico B get any post-movement attacks in V? On Stage 24 right now. I'm trying to ace Ruri for the Phase Transition Cannon, but it's been difficult so I just don't use her and shove her in the Suborders.
>>
>>15705460
No, but giving Ruri hit & away and maybe shoving some movement or range parts should be enough to make it usable.
>>
>>15705460
Just give her Hit And Away, charge her into combat like you do every other unit, kill everything on counterattacks, and then on the player phase you H&A to the next area.

Same thing you do with most battleships in this franchise.
>>
>>15705477
>>15705462
That three-movement space part would works wonder on her, wouldn't it?

>>
>>15705512

>>
>>15705525
Okita definitely wasn't far behind. The Nadesico and Yamato were amazing in V.
>>
>>15705497
You don't get targettng penalties when not paired up, so it's really your choice if you just want to spread the damage to single units or twin up
>>
>>15705539
I think my main issue has pretty much been not getting the movement parts onto Ruri, yeah. When enemies actually get in range of the Nadesico (or when they haven't been brutally murdered by the X1 and Grungust), the Gravity Blast usually takes care of them.
>>
>>15705557
I usually start the map off by having Hari use Accel, so the Nadesico doesn't fall behind.
>>
>>15705544
Targeting penalties, that's losing 5% evasion when dodging an attack right? So a solo unit won't lose any evasion?
>>
>>15705563
I think I may have mistaken the wording, I meant Attack Damage penalties.

There are skills to lower the penalties for both support attacks and pair attacks. When you attack a unit with a twin the unit that doesn't correspond to the proper enemy gets a damage penalty. That is to say that if you attack a solo unit your second unit gets a damage penalty and the opposite is true if your primary unit targets a secondary enemy in an enemy twin.
>>
>>15705544
>You don't get targettng penalties when not paired up

Are you sure about this? I tested out a lot of things in 2nd OG, and single units were losing evasion normally in that.
>>
>>15705565
Oh, you were talking about that. Where Main > Sub / Sub > Main does 65% of the normal damage.
>>
>>15705570
I was talking about that indeed.

I personally lay out my twins early on so I know which units will be secondaries and which units will be primaries so I can set skills up in advance.
>>
>>15705458

It used up almost all of my SP to do so, and I'm pretty sure I used HTB Cannon 8 or 9 times.
Kyosuke gained like 13 levels on getting the kill with gain.
Overall I had fun with this game, but it felt a lot more bullshit than OG1 and MD. Enemies had really high accuracy lots of the time, and there was a lot of HP bloated enemies. In the last two levels I ended up straight up ignoring most of the enemies that weren't bosses and just relying on will boosting spirits and sp regen.
>>
>>15705574
When I'm tossing skills onto pilots, I usually don't take into account who they might be paired with. I just build onto whatever skills they already have, along with B/E Save, and improve their survivability / accuracy when possible.

It's honestly not that HP bloated, after a few plays you begin to appreciate the balance in OG2 a lot more than the later games as hitting the fine line between difficult/playable/bullshit.

Important thing is OG2 gives you a LOT of resources to work with to counter how Ex-Hard bans weapon upgrades so it is a game made around 0 damage upgrades.

Really though, Dekaranger's cast is the only older one that can be guaranteed to be fully-present, since their actors are still all active. They could even ask Ryusei Nakao to reprise Aburella, if they wanted to.

Also, most of the Kyurangers are basically voice-acted characters already, never mind having an actual manga author as a designer for the suits.

I'm starting to not having fun with SRW games, specially with the newest ones.

They removed W move, they removed fun secrets (S-gundam, the whole wing cast in F Final), they removed useful skills (infight, gunfight), they reduced the number of usable spirits of characters to 5, then they removed attack x2 spirit to non-important pilots.

its like they delibaretley trying to "balance" the game, but it ends up not balanced anyway and unfun
>>
>>15708333
>They removed W move

There's a difference between unbalanced and totally and completely off-kilter. Double Move was a way to balance shit back in the days when all Reals had fuck all for offenses and they got rid of it during the time period when that stopped being a thing.

Can you imagine Z2-2 00 Raiser with Double Move? Because it would have gotten it pretty goddamn early by the old days standard. Probably only after Valkyries, the Votoms cast, possibly a few other fringe things like the King Gainer cast and the Xabungle Cast, and a few random Gundam pilots (Allelujah totally would have gotten it really early.)

>they removed fun secrets (S-gundam, the whole wing cast in F Final)

The whole wing cast except Wufei being secrets in F/Final was a fucking bad thing though. And UX/BX had plenty of goddamn secrets by any metric.

>they removed useful skills (infight, gunfight)

First off, those are still things, second off they've made tons of "useful skills" to make up for the really big ones that got the axe like SP Regen and Attacker.

The issue with those "useful skills" is that invariably you just give them to fucking everyone and all your skill sets are the same damn thing with very minor variations (what Save do they need, do they need H&A, etc.)

>they reduced the number of usable spirits of characters to 5

No they didn't.

What they did was lower the number of spirits on subpilots who exist to cast spirits, and then lowered general spirit levels to 5 IN GAMES WITH SQUAD SYSTEMS because as it turns out, having 60-80 people with 6 spirits each and possibly subpilots with 6 spirits each is beyond broken.

Meanwhile modern games also personalize pilots and machines by ace bonuses, unique custom bonuses, etc. etc.

>then they removed attack x2 spirit to non-important pilots.

Not a problem in the OGs or the nintendo games. Was only a problem in OE in that the people who didn't get Hot Blood were basically automatic shit, but then again, OE.

This was a "squad system" thing - in V it's back to 6 again. Thus proving that Squad Systems were a mistake

It was always a "squad system" thing. Anyone with two brain cells to rub together should have taken notice of the fact that outside of IIRC K, the only games from Z to V with 6 spirits were - shock of all shocks - the OGs and the Z2s.

Though OGII and OGMD still give people functionally six spirits through the Twin Spirit, so that's a thing. Probably a good idea for two man squad systems altogether.

>except super robots also gets W move.

In some games, yes. In others, only specific ones will get it unless you Repair/Resupply level grind.

Let me quote some levels from a random game with Double Move: Kouji at 62, Tetsuya also at 62, Shinobu at 60, Hayato at 59 (and all other Getter pilots later), Akira at 60, Banjo at 62, Emma at 47 (Oldtypes also sometimes get the shit end of the stick in terms of DM, but not always), every Wing pilot except Noin at 56 (and her at 60), Shou Zama at 49.

There are exactly two enemies in that game above 44 - one is at 46 on the second to last stage, the other is the final boss on the last stage at 48. So good fucking luck reaching any of those at a reasonable time.

>W move helps with the sluggishly slow stages which usually go on for about an hour average which is the usual on the new SRW.

Double Move doesn't actually help all that much. Old SRW games were OHKO fests by the last stage because of the winkysoft damage formula making literally any strategy other than a direct alpha strike totally useless, which accounted for more. Double Move DID end scenarios fast when it was combined with shit like the GP-02's MAP, but that was more the MAP - Zeal with such things still does that nowadays. See also: Z1, Nirvash, or K with Kira, or BX and Flit.

>the average old SRW goes for 35-36 stages, now the new ones goes for 60-80 stages, playing without W move is a slog.

The longest SRW front-to-back without the influence of OE around (since that game was freakishly long) was Impact. Second longest was GC (technically XO was slightly longer, but GC would still make this spot), third was F/Final, fourth was Alpha 1. I think 64 was fifth, but it's in the area around 60 stages, where a lot of games end up. And that's not counting Shin, which needs something like 70 scenarios completed to get to the actual final stage.

So no, it's much less long on average now. We just haven't gone below 45 this decade.
>>
>>15708504
(cont)

And while it's true that SOME old SRWs were less long, front to back... so are some more modern ones.

Yes, the shortest game in the franchise outside 1 will always be 2. But EX's three routes combined to be like 60, and then 4 had like 60, and then there was Shin... I think the only games below 40 after that were the Compacts and some of the Nintendo Handhelds, but the thing about THOSE is that some of those were pretty recent (A, R, D, the first two OGs, K, and L all hover around the 40s or just below, and K and L are pretty recent.). And also Neo, which was less than ten years ago. And OGG, and OGDP, and Z3-R, though I dunno if those last two count fully.

except until F Final, real robots get it at 35, super robots at 37.

Then you are saying newer ones are shorter when you count all scenarios, thats a laugh:

Robot wars alpha 2: 52 x 4
Robot wars alpha 3: 59 x 4 + another 59 for all four of them combined
Robot wars MX: 57 x 2
Robot wars V: 52 x 2
Robot wars Z: 60 x 2

Meanwhile:
Robot Wars 4: 43 x 2
Shin Robot Wars: 35 x 2 + 1
Real Robot Battle Line: 28

The only remotely short new SRWs are MD and Z3 since MD has no selectable og pilot and Z3 only has one og pilot, so there's virtually no point in replaying it unless new game plus for coming back against the enemies with fully upgraded robots of pettiness
>>
>>15708791
>Then you are saying newer ones are shorter when you count all scenarios, thats a laugh:

I'm counting front to back - how many stages it takes to beat the last stage of the game, or, in cases like EX where the entire game is distinct routes, how many stages there are across all three.

If you want to be a technical ass about it, your math on most of those are still wrong, as they fail to account for route splits within route splits (it'd take four playthroughs to see every stage in Z, and I want to say at least 4-6 to see every ending?)

Ok? Taking the games on your list, then.

SRW Alpha 2: 57 front to back.
SRW Alpha 3: 60 front to back, also a few optional sub scenarios sequestered away and not accessible by normal gameplay a la GC/XO.
SRW MX: 55
SRW V: 52
SRW Z: 60. Also 20 or so released as a separate product?

SRW 4: 44, though I seem to remember it did that thing where final stage count could vary by one or two depending on the routes you took.
Shin SRW: 71
RRBL: 28

Alright, so I see one game in the lower category larger than the ones in the higher category. Now I'm going to name a few, and they'll be cherry picked similarly to your choices.

SRW BX: 48.
SRW K: 36
SRW Neo: 41
SRW L: 43
SRW Z2-1: 50

SRW GC: 79.
SRW Compact 3: 32

SRW Impact: 101
SRW Alpha 1: 67
SRW Alpha Gaiden: 45
SRW 64: 57, though like 4/D/a few others this one can change without going off the "true ending".
SRW F/Final: 80 (34/46 split, but Final DOES carry over stage numbers, so...)

No, you said, that you have to include the route splits in your equation.

but since you delibaretly removed the other character, real robot and super robot routes to help your argument, it is still not looking good either. so sure go ahead, since it will help your case.

new SRWs still go upwards to 50 stages. combined that with no W move, every stage slog on up to 1 hour until final stage, when the idiot final boss deploys very near you.

compared to the last of the old SRW, SRW 4, the final stage takes like 8 minutes, thats with even with forced animation on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGXoh9WoE5o&spfreload=10

compared to V:

No I didn't. I said:

>I'm counting front to back - how many stages it takes to beat the last stage of the game, or, in cases like EX where the entire game is distinct routes, how many stages there are across all three.

And then I followed that up by telling you that you weren't even arguing your own point right.

>compared to the last of the old SRW, SRW 4, the final stage takes like 8 minutes, thats with even with forced animation on:

Someone does a MAP that kills every nook and then one turns the boss. That in absolutely no way requires double move, as Zeal to enact the MAP works exactly the same way. They also spend next to no time on the dialogue. Shock of all shocks, the stage is completed in no time at all.

>compared to V:

Someone slowly allows the viewer the time to read all the dialogue, doesn't skip all of the animations, and menus a bit more than in the old games. And doesn't MAP at all. Even if Double Move had been around, it would in absolutely no way have helped the time taken on that stage outside of saving maybe half a minute of menuing.

I'm not sure I get your point here. Yeah, stages are generally longer, because they decided stages should in general be filled with things instead of not so. Yes, you probably menu a fair bit more if you don't take out the entire enemy side with MAPs, because enemy HP is also a lot larger and because you didn't have the power of OHKOing literally goddamn everything through broke as fuck damage formulas. But I dunno, getting more content in my games that aren't run on stupid systems at least sounds good to me. I mean, if you want shorter games with nothing in them plotwise, you can always try a modern Fire Emblem.

Spoiler warning: it's a trick question. The only time Double Move got involved was skipped over. Because that video skips most of the fight. Right, which is why when BX gave out two stupidly broken MAPs, no one used them to take out entire waves of mooks.

No, wait, nearly everyone did that, because Zeal -> MAP is the same as Double Move -> MAP when you've got things like reusable SP Full Restore items and Squads to take the debt of SP.

>>
>>15708940
Yeah. That argument was about how people were moaning about the Tac Points in V were abusale like they were in Z3, and my point was that outside of MAPs (which mostly defy the point anyway - if you wipe the entire enemy squad out in one turn, getting another turn doesn't exactly do much for you) it was impossible to chain double move to beat the entire stage a la what people did with Orguss or Wing Zero/Kallen in Z3.

Which seems to be accurate. Haven't heard of anyone doing one turn clears with single units on every map of the game, at least, though now that I say that someone probably has done it through some convoluted setup.

There's a difference between "killing an enemy force that you have baited into a small area which happens to be the size of your MAP radius, so as to get them all in one shot" and "literally finishing the entire scenario in one turn with one unit which probably only uses a single attack over and over until they reach a boss, at which point they maybe switch to another."

Too bad they're attached to Seolla, that automatically sullies them. That one doujin was kind of cute though.

>>
>>15708977
Oh yes, because it's not like enemy units usually come in close groups two tiles away from eachother or anything. That's just absurd. It's not like I could load up my J or R or Alpha 1 save, go into whichever mission it's on on, and see units clumped up pretty nicely for Dendoh or FA ZZ or someone to use its MAP on and melt half a dozen units. That's just absurd.

I somehow have even less respect for you than I did before.
>>
>>15708988
If you want to believe I'm wrong, prove the manner in which a MAP could be used to solo V in a single turn with no other unit attacks OR prove that a MAP in any game is bad if your sole intention is speed (e.g. you don't care about PP, EXP, money, or other concerns unrelated to this context) and it hits and kills every mook in one hit.

Those were my arguments, so to be wrong, you'd have to prove one of them wrong first.

>>15708991
Enemy units can almost always be pushed together into a small clump if they're not flanking you or extremely distended.

That said, yes, you totally can do that in J, people do that all the fucking time. I bet I could search the archives now and find at least two examples of Great Zeorymer taking an entire enemy wave at once after a turn or two of letting them close in.
>>
>>15709009
No shit you could find one in the Archives. I pointed you right toward mine when I posted you saying MAPs were bad.
But you're insisting on the first turn thing, and how it's infeasible. But no, now you're going on about how it's easy to compress them, a thing that takes them moving, that thing that they're only allowed to do on their turn.
>>15708988 is spot on, you're just trying to say whatever lets you get out of this looking right.
>>
>>15709009
Basically you have admitted the new SRWs are sluggishly slow and unnecessarily long, you have to turn off the animations, skip the dialog, and maybe, perhaps make it as fast as the old SRWs.

now you are saying Map attacks are useless, unless it supports your arguments.

Once again, thank you for admitting you are wrong. and please stop moving the goalposts. and please stop being tsundere and find it in your heart, that you are wrong at least once in a while

So I just finished SRW V and I'd like to talk about it.

Overall, I'd say it was an above average experience. There were some pretty amazing moments, but there were also a few poorly done events that could have been handled better.

While I liked Souji/Chitose and Nine, I'm not really a big fan of the original villains (Gardim). I liked Ghuli, but the rest of them are just there and don't really provide much.

Things I greatly enjoyed
>Nadesico.
Getting Akito early and having Yurika join the Nadesico-C is pretty great and fun.
>Great Mazinger.
Tetsuya is my husbando and I had lots of fun using him.
>Hathaway.
I just really like Hathaway.

Things I felt could've been done
>Yamato's events could have been spaced out better
>You had Jouji Nakata record lines for the original villain, but you couldn't be bothered to make Space Submarine dudes available?
>Why can't I recruit Domel already

In the end, I just wanted more Yamato.

Things I outright disliked
>00 and Destiny.
They forced them into Yamato and Ange's plots in the lamest way possible.
>Evangelion's movies.
I like using Shinji. He's one of my favorites and is always part of my teams in SRW, but the movies are incomplete which leads to an awkward epilogue.
>Crossbone/F91
I wanted more of the characters and units to show up. I did like the angle of Jupiter being Gamilas's lapdogs in the Earth sphere, though.
>Mazinger Zero and Mazin Emperor G
Not a fan of the designs, to put it politely.

also the OST is pretty good, but I kinda wish there was more songs for certain shows.

I'd like it if Dearest from Nadesico's Prince of Darkness OST would show up, but at this point I'm just being a fanboy.

But you're all going to ignore this post because Matt's shitposting again and we can't actually have any proper discussions in /srwg/.

So I'm going to go watch Kill La Kill and then play Persona 5 and become a total normie just to spite all of you.

>the old man is sick of Mattman's shit too
I can't believe VF-Kun was Giganscudo Duro the whole time.
Yurika a second best and could only be better if she piloted an Aesti.
And yea those are pretty reasonable things to dislike.

>>15709021
In the 30s so far, but pretty much didn't take any of the 00/Destiny/Ange route splits. Am I missing much there? I thought I'd actually use Setsuna or Kira more but they've never actually found their way onto my roster.

I actually dig Hathaway too. His friendship with Banagher here works pretty well. But yeah, there really wasn't enough Crossbone, not when the 00 and Destiny guys seem like they're tagging along for the ride in comparison.

It's weird that this is now a thing that people say.

To word this better, since apparently you can't delete posts on mobile: so how did you feel about it overall in comparison to other SRWs? Was it better than the Zs? What SRWs did you think were around the same? Does it inspire hope for future games, does it feel like a cheap cash grab, what were your favorite moments, that sort of thing.

Cross Ange and Full Metal Panic plots.

If you like those, it's decently handled.

I ended up taking those routes for the most part, and I have to say that my only complaint with Ange's stuff is that it's played waaaaaaaaay too straightforward.

There's no real crazy mixing going on, beyond FMP's villains working with Ange's villains.

If you're okay with "these two are hanging out together now" then it's fine, but I was kinda hoping for a bit more than just that.

>>15709049
Maybe you can, but the "Delete Post" button isn't working for me for some reason.

Ah well.

Interestingly enough, Enable and Faith (assuming the SP restoration one) don't exist in Z3

I think CA got hit with the, we have to use this series plot normally at least once stick. I think they'll mix it up a bit if it ever shows up again.

They actually changed the order of events around a bit, mostly so you don't keep losing Ange for long amounts of time when she runs off by herself.
