Yeah, Dairugger has rips of the full set. There's occasional artifacts in the video but it is what it is.

They only have volume 1 because it's been out of print for years. Good luck finding volume 3 at a reasonable price.

The hark0n release seems to retain some grain compared to kagura. But it seems a bit weird looking to me. Is that grain added in post?
Truth be told, I know next to nothing about this stuff, but it seems to me, that the grain eats up some of the little detail in dark scenes. Maybe it's not really important, but the file size difference between Kagura (20 gb) and hark0n (40 gb) is quite something.

Lost my HD last week and my Patlabor tv copy is gone (720p, pic related, subtitle for reference).

I rescued 95% of the files using recover software, but all openings and endings are missed because the fansub used external files for them (each archive has only the episode itself, need the separated files to show the opening and endings).

Daisuki benefited because Bandai-Namco was a member of the studios that initially created it and after control was given to Anime Consortium Japan, they joined in as a partner. They didn't have to pay licensing fees because they were the rights holder.

anidb is a database only, not a download site. The reason you need to create an account is to access the rip data, as they don't want the site getting bot-scraped. But with it, you can compare almost every release available for a particular episode, sorting the columns by languages/resolution/filesize/etc. From that, you can decide what release you might want, and then seek it out.

The irony is that the group of people downloading stuff from these threads is "the select few" and the people on Baka are the large majority. You spend hours uploading shit to some file-hosting site so that the few people who happen to read this thread can download it, but soon those links won't be accessible anymore.

If you want to share anime, encourage people to get tracker accounts so they can firstly have access to more stuff and secondly contribute to keeping the material on trackers seeded for the long-term, so that many more people can enjoy it.

Is WeebFTP dead? or you need some special access?

BakaBT's currently got open interviews for applications so there's really no reason not to if you want an account that badly.

I lost my HD some days ago and my 720p patlabor copy from (G_P) was gone. I recovered all episodes with repair software, except the openings and endings files (G_P used them as solo files, linked with the episodes to build the entire show: op+episode+end).
