There was one I came up with when someone brought up that they wanted a bad end SRW. I don't remember the whole premise, but basically it was all the shows with downer endings like Ideon, IBO, GGG FINAL, Zambot and Daitarn, Shin Mazinger with no continuation, etc. As all the finales went down you lost the party members from those shows until the last stage was just back to the OG mech you'd started with and maybe some stragglers against the final boss, who was followed up with endless waves of reinforcements until you died.

NG+ would start out the exact same way, but the OG robot would look totally different when it appeared. A flashback would show that all the damage in the final battle broke off the limiter armor it was wearing and unlocked its time travel powers, after which the game switches to Free Route mode and you play all the stages in any order you want, needing to find the right orders of events to fix the various bad endings and unlock the real finale.

The old version had the XN Geist there, but some lore revision made clear Giliam never rebuilt the machine, just made a copy of it's system in the Zweizergain. So it's on the 'Compati Series' section, connected by lime-black stripe dot.

After PS2 died they downgraded to PSP because HD and PS3 was too hard for them.

They had to make cost cuts as a result, like no 3D map and breaking the game into two parts for Z2. The fanbase understood and forgave that.

They learn the absolute wrong fucking lesson from this (we can put minimal effort and sell each game twice for maximum ripoff potential) and proceed to make Z3 barely a step up from Z2 despite no longer having an excuse for this.

Between that and the writing by the seat of their pants and thowing in whatever series the company or the producers wanted to push, even when many of these shows didn't even fucking exist even as a concept when Z1 was out, and you get the absolute fucking crime that was Z3 (Z2 I still think was alright, and forgiveable giving the circumstances)

Thankfully, they seem to have learned their lesson with V.

I have a question about the Shin Jeeg/Big Shooter combos.

Jeeg's like 5 squares away from where Big Shooter is, and yet he's still got access to the combos.

Whether they're silly or serious moments, I love it when shit just goes wild and we've got multiple shows intersecting in a fun and cool way.

A really good example is Stage 20 of SRW Z, which featured Gainer's confession to disrupt an Overman attack being joined in by Renton, Setsuko, Jiron, and everyone who was present.
