What's the fucking point of making a Taiki Shin Getter immediately after its announced? It doesn't even have Stoner Sunshine as a finisher, so I suspect another fucking Taiki Defender/Shooter version with the same broken ass stats as this one. The Taiki spot should have been left to Chirico though.
Really hate the meme of doing an event based on a series, then ANOTHER unrelated (or maybe two) series get the voiced part and the Taiki. All of that just to reuse an old Z3 BGM and not having to create a new rendition for the debut series to boot.

In a stunning moment of hilarity, X-O actually remixed it. I can't tell if it's just slowing the song down and lowering the tone or some other things thrown in, but it's still more than any game has done to that song since OE.

The next game is a OG game, and its getting a proper english translation and release in NA and EU on the PS4.

Bad news is that Sony has stated that they have to get a english cast list. No japanese what so ever. Plus the game is magically region locked. A little nice silver lining is that sony is willing to help pay for whoever is picked and said person is on board for the project.

Oddly, for me, the SP was slightly harder to move around than the DS Lite. I think it's the thickness - I'm pretty tall, so I tend to have deeper pockets as a matter of course, but the SP was thicker than the DS Lite by a lot.

It's a fairly standard 5 pilot unit, and since W has some units of completely insane power that means it's a bit left behind but is still totally usable.

It does have a fuckload of HP and an attack that can reduce weapon power, so since you'll basically never have damage reduction spirits offline it's rather hard to kill, and as I recall it gets its finisher at a pretty good time (definitely compared to things like Genesic GGG or Orgun at least). It also has good long range moves.

I thought V was pretty solid myself. Probably the best SRW we've had in years.

The PSTV can go online via ethernet, which is a lot more stable than wifi, and great if you don't have access to wifi at all (like me). Vita games look decent when upscaled to 720p on a TV, but there is a small amount of input lag.

I haven't played the Vita version of V, just the PS4 version, but when I was comparing the Vita and PS3 versions of Z3, the only drawbacks I noticed on the Vita release were the voices being slightly compressed, and the thumbnail character portraits looking a bit off, due to being downscaled.

In OG2 and OGG Cybuster's pretty trash. OGG actually does give him a slight performance buff from OG2, but you have so many other units that are so much better that it's really hard to give him a deployment slot.

2ndOG is probably Cybuster's best showing.

OGMD is identical to 2ndOG in performance, but you get the Masoukishin characters so late that there's no time to give them much in the way of PP. Neo Granzon is so stupidly broken that it doesn't matter, but Cybuster and Valsione R both fall back into second-stringer quality.

Route Splits take a little away, but that shouldn't matter to a final team - especially in the Nintendo Handhelds outside of K and UX/BX, where being on your team every stage after the join time is totally unnecessary because there's no direct reward for killing things, only levels.

It's pretty odd in general since most of the other UX unlockable units tend to be varying levels of unlimited death and destruction. However Kurusu joins in like the end game which makes you think he'd be decent but instead contests with the likes of Karen and Will for being a bad unit.

Really on a whole besides those few blips most of the UX unlockables are engines of massacre, even the fucking GN-XIV's are solid. Ranging towards one man armies and then towards straight up cheating.

Karen also comes way earlier (and is better, amusingly enough) while Will I think is intended to be the ultimate partner unit - his bonuses are helpful to everyone, if not amazingly so (Special Dodge aside because everyone loves special dodge), his attack ranges work decently with everyone, he's not reliant on any one partner bonus to survive because he's possibly the hardest unit to kill in the entire game and his attacks don't need ranking changes, and while his power is a bit low he gets a lot from upgrades thanks to a good rank there. Definitely better than Diaochan, though of course Diaochan is just a nice extra to the real prize that is Lu Bu.


Meanwhile I once curiously did a check as to how many units were as shitty as Mark Nicht, and the answer was "preupgraded units, temporary units, and things with comboattacks that were better." His finisher is literally strictly inferior to Atlantis Strike, Demonbane's third weakest fucking move. It's nuts.
