Heisei Generations was kinda so-so for me. The Ghost segments were really melodramatic and kinda only exists to support up Ex-Aid's segments and themes. The Drive parts were also kind of forgettable when it's just another repeat of Shinnosuke living without belt-san but not really.

However, the Wizard parts were just fantastic enough to balance out those two. Movie haruto remains a charismatic badass. Gaim is just there for the hell of it, but it does make me sad that he probably would have gotten a better role in the movie if the actor would have returned. Pac-man segment was also fun while it lasted.

tl;dr: not a bad movie-war title, but still not as great as the early ones like OOO x Fourze.

Just the fact that it was a single story, rather than chopped up in pieces, and actually executed well, rather than the mess that was Drive x Ghost, already makes me rate this higher than almost any other Movie Wars.

Besides, I don't think anything here is as bad as the Aqua scenes in Megamax.

Ghost's scenes were overdramatic, but they actually worked in making their sacrifice have some weight this time. There was really a sense that these loons were really throwing their lives away to fight burning as bright as they can. Something Ghost talked about over and over but didn't really manage to sell before this movie.
