For the most part, the fists are static and the hands don't move. It's basically the same as the mecha suits in Sentai, his hand don't actually reach them. For the brief moments when he actually has to articulate his fingers, you can tell they swap out the arm from the elbow down with a slightly smaller one. It's hard to tell, but it's tapered in a way that allows the suit actor's actual hand to reach the end of the arm, and they they have a bulky glove that simulates the mech fingers. They don't use it for holding the keyslasher, they just plug that into the static fist, but they use it for when Max needs to handle a gashat.

Once you notice the shrinking hand, you won't be able to not notice it.

meanwhile Medic is just annoying mary sue tier and Heart himself is really boring and kind of falls off after Dead Heat stops becoming an issue for the Riders. Chase and Brain are god tier though.

I have no idea how you think tires ruin every design, they only really fuck up the base form. Type Technic, Wild, and Tridoron are all fine. Formula 1 is just bad all around though. The sunglasses redeem it, and the tires are actually in an okay spot.

The Dead Zone is basically when Heart's HP bar goes down to red. Like a lot of vidya bosses, knocking him into the red but not finishing him usually punishes you by increasing the boss's stats.

The actual tokusatsu part is kinda meh to shit with the monster suits being the exceptions(they're pretty damn good). But the main draw is the cast which is pretty fun, mainly the two main males.
You can also see the seeds of the early heisei kr shows (mostly kuuga to faiz), so it has a feeling close to them even if , at least during the subbed episodes, it never gets as serious as those entries. If you want something like early heisei its very recomendable.

Also, I like how it handles the confept of the monsters getting used to human society, I wish other shows tackled it more.

Level X's problem was that he just left after getting it, rather than beating up Ex-Aid in that episode to show his power. Then he was faking a redemption arc in the next episode until near the ending, when we go the Zombie clones and such, with him only getting proper fighting scenes in the same episode where Maximum debuted.

The breakneck pace aside, I do kind of think Ex-Aid has bland characters. At least, the incredibly fast pacing leaves very little in the way of character building. At least, looking back at all the other series I've seen, the Ex-Aid protagonists stand out the least because none of them are proper people.
Sure, the rollercoaster ride, bordering on trainwreck, is what makes Ex-Aid so fun to watch. But in terms of writing, characters, plot, and even fight choreography, it definitely ranks very near the bottom for me, if not the bottom.

Poppy turning good again is just standard stuff but haven't seen the episode perhaps Pallad kills Poppy off or something that would be a nice twist.

And X level was around far longer then just 2 episodes and Maximum did not defeat or out class level X it just made sure zombie couldn't revive or Dan couldn't become a Kamen Rider.

The whole Grongi infestation in the first couple of episodes or Decade (Kuuga) vs Kiva in a form switching battle. There were lots of high points and show could go from gritty battles to CG fests very easily due to the motif changing with each world.

Most battles were fairly short though, which I guess might be your problem with them.

Kagami seemed the real protagonist, the series should be called Kamen Rider Gatack.
Tendou was too perfect, and I still did not understand the origin of Dark Kabuto.

Dark Kabuto was some random kid that ZECT experimented on, and somehow turned into a wurm. He took Tendou's appearance because they mind broke him, and told him that he really WAS Tendou. This was when they were developing all of the zecters.

Kick/Punch hoppers were prototype zecters that they locked away in the labs underground after completing the real ones. Them being failures are what drew them to team angst. They're also exceedingly useless in that they can't clock up.
