Firsdt, you know those little head mirrors cartoon doctors tend to have? It has that, and it functions as a Game Scope. That would be a nice addition.

kiriya/tezuka are brought into this after both losing a friend. Kiriya attempts to learn more about the bugster virus to put a stop to it and eventually blackmails dan to give him a gamer driver. Tezuka agrees to join the rider war and forms a contract with evildiver but his goal is to also end the conflict. They both also refer to fate a lot.

I hope krg will read my write up on all of ex-aid and ryuki's similarities once I'm done.

Shinji's a walking disaster. Everything he does backfires. His girlfriend died of out-of-nowhere sudden heart failure after their first date. His secondary overshadows him within the main plot, as well as getting a final form before him. Also his own final form looks funny. There's no scissors in ex-aid since Kiriya was the example of what happens when your hp bar hits zero or your contract monster deck breaks.

Kiriya and Tezuka are definite parallels but done very differently. For starters, Tezuka is another unintended Rider, having gotten his from his friend. All his gear is implied to be Ouja levels of bad news, right down to his Contract Beast even being called EVILDIVER. Kiriya's just a good guy who acts shady and earned his Rider powers.

Also, Kiriya only mentions "fate" a few times, and every time is a reference to Emu's "I'll take my patient's fate into my own hands!" which is one of his catchphrases.
