Hey, I just thought of something. Now that Zyuohger established that humans and zyumans all live together now, Would that make life easier or harder for the sages from Gekiranger? Because most of them lived in seclusion, but Michelle Peng was a famous skateboarder. Gorrie and Larry are nearly identical, it'd be easy to mistake a gekijuken sage for a zyuman.

Mech fights are usually completely unimportant, with rare exceptions. To be fair, Kyuranger directors are trying their best to put something interesting in every episode even though mech fights pretty much take 1 minute now with the frenetic pace of what could be lovingly called "storytelling".

While i'm at it, I have to mention Gekiranger's fight choreography is pretty damn great. I mean for a kung fu themed show, it certainly needs to be.

Webm for Retards, if it spits errors like no audio or it doesn't decode properly then you have to manually use FFMPEG and do the whole command line business instead which can be annoying since a GUI really helps finding frames and you instead have to resort to MPC or Aegisub to get the proper time.

Keep in mind regardless of these you have to have a bit of the 'tism to constantly remake them so it doesn't look like garbage in regards to the bitrate and that you do things by the frame and frame perfectly from start to finish so you don't get leftover frames making it look terrible. Bitrate > Resolution almost always as well. Most of the webms I do have been redone about three to ten times before I'm happy with them being posted, particularly since they have to fit the 3MB/4MB limit as well.

Remember your bitrate man, don't just make it max resolution because you can, look at how when any of them move there's blocks everywhere. You can lock that to 400p and put the bitrate at around 900, 30+ seconds should not be bit unless there's nothing happening at all, you're lucky to get away with 420p at times with that length.

With one episode of Carranger to go, I gotta say this is definitely one the best Sentai I've ever watched. Silly as fuck but still manages to have genuinely tense and serious moments. Rewatching it, I'm remembering how often Gekiranger blurred the lines between good and evil in a show that usually pretty black and white on that.

I mean, the main villain was part of the good school before going all Hot Topic crawling in my skin on everyone. But beyond that, they constantly mention wanting to unify the two jyuken schools, Master Sha-fu always tries to convince Rio to come back to gekijyuken or at least understand why he can't get stronger using only rinjyuken, but at the same time one of the team members, Gekiviolet, uses a style that's basically a blend of good and evil styles constantly. In order to beat the final villain, Jan basically needs to absorb and big dose of evil jyuken energy to have what he needs to win, and even the evil generals, the Kenma, end up helping the heroes not out of any genuine change of heart, just because they're essentially tired of being evil and don't care about it any more. And of course both the original villains end up being heroes from then on.

I mean yeah, it's not much, but few other seasons of Sentai are this blurry with the concept of good vs evil. It's unique for a series that usually has an almost comically black and white view of good and bad.
