Is there a general consensus on MX? I'm a bit disappointed by it and though I like the cast list the amount of post script series is a bummer. Character interactions are nice, but the maps and units look unsightly when done with polygons and the game is just so easy.

I don't get the Getter plot for this game.
On the one hand, you have Ryoma treated as one of the most important characters and Getter Rays are one of the big central plot elements, but the rest of the Armageddon cast is basically an afterthought, especially Go's team, and the Armageddon plot in general is basically totally ignored.

It has some good stuff and it has some bad stuff. Overall I'd say it's pretty average but it's nice to have it in English. Tons of wasted opportunities but that happens with every game. The series that do get proper attention though are handled pretty well for the most part. The Mazingers sucking up all the budget is both great but sad when you see how lacking a lot of the other unit's animations are.

All in all it's a decent package. I don't see it being remembered as anything other than "just another SRW" a few years down the line though.

I dunno. It seems a bit mean to make the early-acquisition stages show up automatically on the route chart, but they do, no other special stages just pop up automatically on the chart. I noticed the stage for getting them early showed up on my route chart despite not using the DLC, so I guess it's just there as a reminder.

As for why they'd fuck people over, well...I'm not terribly well-versed on the DLC scene in gaming, but I'm sure there's some people there who can tell of other times DLC fucked people who didn't get early versions. Later on in he started being more conflicted about everything, and at one point he even worked with Great Might Gaine to destroy something that was going to destroy the world. It wasn't long after that that he stopped being "villain" and started being that one guy in nearly every Brave show who occasionally helps out the main cast but is around for the final battle (the J, the Captain Shark, the Seven Changer, that type.)

All of those are very strong units, but Zero seems like he's a step above them. I've had him kill bosses in one attack when they have 36-40k or so health. Awakened EVA-01 has come close to doing it with a 29k crit. I'm wondering if Mazin Power functions like it has in previous games in addition to acting as his transformation trigger. If so, he is getting an extra 60% damage from that plus his ace bonus and the attacker skill. Ryoma's ace bonus is stronger than Koji's, so Shin should be capable of putting out as much damage, if not more, but he floats around the same level as EVA. Mind you, these numbers come from me not even maxing my weapon upgrades, with the three I mentioned only having six ranks in it.
