As always, if you like zyuohger, you can watch zyuohger anytime, the only thing pr is sure to get from a sentai are the fight scenes which are still right there. Every other good thing about zyuohger might not have gotten in the pr version even if it exists.

I think they really didn't have the option to skip until Go-Busters' merchandise proved to be much less likely to sell than Kyoryuger's.

Once that happened, it got much easier to propose ToQGer, and now it seems to be the decision seems to be completely normal.

What I meant wasnt necesarilly about a pr season being bad. Even if its good the reason for a pr season being good can also differ from the good about the sentai. Easy example: rpm is freat but it doesnt have everything good about go onger(like the villains). Again, the onl aspect from a sentai that's 100% sure to be in the pr version is the fights which already are in the sentai.

Did they drag Bryan Cranston into this?

At least the fights look like they might be fun, particularly the Megazord stuff before they combine, the golems actually look neat, and the Zordon wall is fun to watch. But the suit design is awful, Rita is all over the place with feeling intimidating, Alpha's redesign is horrendous including that voice, and the actual Megazord is probably one of the ugliest things I've seen in a long while.

Really hope this scene ends up being like a typical Sentai or PR scene where the chips are down, they're near defeat, then they have that inspirational speech that causes them all to gain new strength to defeat Rita and the mech thing.

Have Zedd or Ivan Ooze been confirmed at all? Because if this succeeds we can bet that's the sequel bait at the end of the movie.

I've seen mostly the same reactions as in English, but more of the positives than negatives. Funnily enough, some comments think "It's morphin time" is a reference to Go-Busters. A lot of the press is hyping it as "Hollywood-style Sentai" so that already sort of frames the expectation of what it's supposed to be.

Turbo didn't do bad because of the Zords. If anything I'd say they're a highlight of the film, and the practical nature of them helps the film to age better than the original. The Turbo Megazord movie transformation is still my favorite to date, and I love how the fight actually feels like two giants are slugging it out.

I feel like from this point, Neo Saban PR will just plateau in quality. It won't reach the lows of Samurai/Megaforce, but it also won't ever reach the slight peak of Dino Charge. It's just gonna exist.

We need a guy like Doug Sloan again. All those years we thought Chip was great and Tzachor was holding him back, but it turns out Chip needed Tzachor to keep his shit in check. Sloan proved he could do it on his own.

Still, as I said I'm willing to give Chip and the writers the benefit of the doubt before really losing hope. We had to get through Turbo's first half to get to In Space, you know.

Reminder that Chip's favorite episode from his run during the original Saban era was "In the Limelight". He's clearly very good when collaborating with the right people, but Alan and Becca are most certainly not the right people. The three of them combined has been poison for the show. The farting shenanigans from last week's episode put me on the verge of turning off the TV in disgust.
