This guy has been hacking the shit out of SRW 4 for years, and it looks like he's been working on some wild stuff. AI tweaks (enemies can transform now), new units (Grandasher and God Bird as separate forms! also hi-nu maybe?), new items (including terrain rank boosters), status effects on weapons, evasion decay, a Defense stat for pilots... all kinds of craziness.

He's the same guy behind that Titans Wars 4 hack, I think. Dunno how many of these patches he incorporated into it, though.

I know that they mean "sink" and "fall", and various other shows use those words. My question is, is there any particular reason why words like those are used to express wanting someone to get shot down/hurt themselves/threateningly?

See, the Marume arc actually had some significance. Earth slowly became a force in space, they get into non-hostile reactions with an alien species, some of the backstory on the series psychic powers is explained that then comes back later when Namida becomes a psychic, and it shows some of Zuul's backup plans in case his physical body got destroyed. It needed about half its episodes cut down or shorn off, but the entire fucking show was like that and the last arc is arguably worse about that. On top of that there was a lot of character growth for all of the Crasher Squad in there, and some major building blocks for the last arc were set up (Zuul's return is well handled and it also starts Marg's return as a ghost).

Legend of 17 Years starts off looking like Marg's story, quickly veers into a land of things that absolutely cannot be canon to the movie, kills off all its cast like a VOTOMS OVA halfway through, and then the last fifteen minutes are the Marg section of the show in the absolute most butchered form. And the redesign to God Mars was literally wasted as it manages to both make the show God Mars look well animated AND more active at the same time by its complete lack of doing fucking anything. Also it makes Rosee look like a total bitch for no reason because of the paring of plot.

also it amuses me that you could legitimately call God Mars's final episode form "Apotheosized God Mars" because Takeru and it became a God through the prayers of everyone on Earth, thus fitting the definition of Apotheosized.

Also that God Mars did the glowing gold power up before Dragon Ball made it cool, literally.

Also God Mars STORMS HELL at one point Jesus Christ SRW uses none of the best stuff from this show.

S-Enix are probably one of the worst pandering offenders out there with the constant fujoshi pandering.

Also the few times they make new things they never follow through with it, just look at the DS era as a fine example of it. There are a bunch of games we just never heard from again sequels or localization wise.

You have the new IP's which got screwed over through no localization, Sigma Harmonics, the entire Nanashi no Game series, Blood of Bahamut. Ones that did get the localization but virtually no advertising or a sequel despite being well received, VP: Covenant of the Flame, TWEWY.

And sequels for long dormant series which never got localized and also forgotten about after reviving them. SaGa 2 remake, Front Mission.

I will say they have been a lot better in the last few years but we'll see.

Most of the stuff you mentioned about Squenix was during the dark age of Wada, I don't like to defend companies but Wada was a catastrophe as CEO for them, see how much changed after he resigned.
He did manage to kill a lot of new IPs and old series while he was in charge, not like some of those didn't deserve it but at least Squenix isn't just FF and KH anymore, at least not too much.

Get the Z chips ones. It will help to unlock all the cool stuff earlier and therefore reduce the amount of playthroughs you need to master the game if you are a completionist.
