The main issue is Hiiro. Strictly speaking, he's more or less after the same thing as Emu: save the patients, defeat the Bugsters. His priorities and ideology are different, but they're still ultimately after the same basic result.

The problem is that they absolutely refuse to acknowledge each other, both as doctors and as Riders, so they're more likely to get in each others' way than actually help each other. Emu, for his own part, does at least try to convince Hiiro to work together a couple times, but Hiiro would rather Emu just piss the fuck off. Speaking of which, Amazons and Ex-Aid are both doing the same thing to me - blueballing the character's happiness. Like oh hey everything is turning out positive and good in today's conclusion but next week something bad happens to it.
