They Over Limit.

Let's say you have
- Attacker Duel with 1 limit break
- Shooter Duel with 2 limit break.

Put the Shooter Duel on the Attacker Duel.

And Attacker Duel will become a limit break of 2.

But put the Over Limit item with the Shooter Duel and Attacker Duel limit break will become a 5.

Say you have one SR Gunbuster with 2 limit breaks (so you've put 3 Gunbusters into it - the initial one and two more) and you get another one. If you put this SR Gunbuster into the one you have, it will have 3 limit breaks. But if you use that item, you can also put your old one into your new one.

This probably sounds niche and nearly useless to you, but there is a purpose! See, you know those events where you have to quickly limit break SRs to get SSRs? Well, think about that item for a bit, and let the obvious main use for them hit you.

An SR Limit Break can limit break a unit one fourth of the way. An Over Limit can limit break it all the way during a Foes event, and we get one of those a month at the lowest.

Niche though they may be, they have a role, and at that role they are the absolute undisputed champions. If you had four in a Foes event, you could literally get nine SRs and be done, as opposed to twenty one or so. If you had four Limit Breaks, it'd get you from twenty one to seventeen. Not even comparable.

When you get into the 20s you'll start encountering Heavy Metal L-Gaim grunts, and some of those are pretty great (well ok the Bat Shu is goddamn great and the other ones kind of suck but Bat Shus are awesome). Then later there's Layzner grunts and those are pretty neat, but held back by being Layzner units in GC and thus having power issues.

Gundam gets non-Zakus later. Reading off the list I spent a little bit of effort making currently on Akurasu right now, you also get Goufs, Doms, Rick Doms, Z'Goks, Bigros, Gelgoogs, Elmeths, Big Zams, Apsalus 2s, Gouf Customs, Apsalus 3s, Hygoggs, Kamphers, Gaza Cs, and Dreizens. Some of those are fairly solid units, although I think the High Mobility Zaku beats a lot of them (the HM Zaku is really fucking good though.)

Info about Super Tokusatsu Taisen 2001, if anyone's still interested (which also came from /m/ back in July).

You might look into getting a PSTV if you don't want to pay that much for a Vita. Some older Vita games aren't compatible with the PSTV, but I think every game past a certain point is required to be compatible.

I really like my Vita, but it's just not popular, for some reason.

I don't know where you've heard that, it's the first time I'm hearing this.

Actually, the devs said that the Vita TV simply can't handle the game in this case, I don't think it's one of those games where you need to touch the screen that much or where you have mechanics locked to the touchscreen.
I don't know how much truth there's to this claim as I've not looked up the PSTV specs, but that's what they've said.

In Neo, Flash by itself was broken. Strike and Flash just lost SP as they leveled up, so by lategame you had a cheap Flash you could cast on the enemy turn before they attack each time.

OE seriously toned both down. Strike doesn't guarantee a hit, doesn't break Double Image, and only works for one attack - though that attack is the first you hit as opposed to just the first. Flash doesn't go under OE's shitty Evasion Decay, which is a much bigger deal than the other nerfs.

Even with the Zero System's minor stat boosts and very slightly higher mobility, Epyon's easily one of the worst non-support Wing unit in D, struggling for the "worst" title with Altron and Mercurius.

Wing Zero > Vayeate = Tallgeese II = Heavyarms > Sandrcck (Quatre) > Deathscythe Hell > Mercurius = Altron = Epyon

Vayeate and Geese Howard phase 2 would be higher on the tier list if Vayeate didn't have to waste a part slot to get S ground/sky (it has 3 so it's not a big loss) and the latter didn't fuck off for like 20 stages.

Taking two or three frames (a lot of the times its just one, even) from source material is different from straight up lifting entire segments untouched from the source material (Yamato and a few of the Cross Ange cut-ins may as well be .wmvs). Some games have gone out of their way to redraw the assets, even.
L was the only other gross offender of this, but even then it put it some work to transfer the lifted animation sequences (Icer animations are a big offender of this, but the Macross units do a lot for the transfer, even if I feel that they take a bit too much from it) to the DS's limitations.

It's like Z3's TTGL Giga Drill Breaker redoing the TTGL pose plus the spiral with all the characters.

Considering that I said as such in that post, but even then, you aren't taking into consideration visual consistency. Everything is entirely motion tweened, which alone has a distinct appearance. When you introduce an element that abides by entirely different animation principles and consistencies, you create inconsistencies within the animation. OG has much more time, freedom, and budget, and yet they opt to still utilize motion tweened cut-ins. Why? Because of consistency.

UX, a game rather infamous for being weaker on the graphical side, managed to redo Ruri's Lemuria Impact sequence, create new cut-ins and units for characters from Linebarrels and, to a lesser degree, Brave Battle Warriors and Wings of Rean. Even Jigoku, coming from the same team, redrew Unit 01's Gatling Gun stance, which L had previously used as a cut-in lifted from the show. A fine standard of the practice has already been set by the work surrounding it and its preceding work.

In terms of purpose, sure, but in terms of internal consistency, it's rather appalling, and, again, this isn't just 3D, Ange revving her unit is also lifted straight from the show wholesale, still abiding by the qualities of the animation it came from, as opposed to the animation it is showcased alongside of, which is even more jarring as Ange also exits her unit shortly thereafter and the cut-ins for both her and her unit are done in the tweened style that doesn't lend itself to inconsistency.

It is still reworked to work with Z3's style, as opposed to being Yoshinari's sequence lifted in its entirety.
