That's fucking Moonlight Butterfly, but in the form of a black cloud.

TWO DISTINCT GROUPS OF MACHINA IN A WAR OF ANNIHILATION on top of the rest of the human infighting, while Linebarrel Amagatsu Prototype indiscriminately destroys whatever gets in its way of any Machina or thing that looks sort of like one.

While my critical sense is very weak, I would recommend at least SEED as a watch. Even as it is considered a rehash of the very first Gundam (which I didn't watch), I say it does a pretty good job.

Now, Destiny... I think it's interesing in it's own way, but it's better to see for yourself to form a opinion, since it's rather... divised.

Also, when you get to Destiny, check out Stargazer. It's a sort watch too.
>>
>>14934682
There are plenty of units to be excited for.

I hope Sinanju is a secret this time.
>>
>>14934682
Yamato's honestly the "one" for me right now.

First play through is definitely gonna be me taking on all the Yamato relevant routes.
>>

Great Mazinger, Shin Mazinger Zero, Mazin Emperor G, Yamato, anything from Might Gaine.
>>

Mazinger ZERO
Mazin Emperor G
Crossbone X1 (Possibly Full Cloth)
Might Gaine

Thanks Banpresto for including millions of Gendum
>>
>>14934740
That's the downside to being an OG original character.

I'd laugh if we suddenly got Kai or Michiru in a non OG game.
>>
>>14934556
Concurrently. The first two prologue stages of L, which are 50k characters between them, focuses on the universe where Macross F, Voltes V, and Iczer all come from, and Im going to be working on the prologue for a long time. I'm inserting this into my rotation now because 100 episodes is way too many to marathon, so if I knock out one or two a day I can theoretically be finished with Seed before Seed is in the story, then Destiny before Destiny is in. I've got references and such to help me relook things up, but I figure its better to know the story to get an idea of how to translate and interpret characters and stuff.
>>
>>14934739
Don't you mean Kevin the Driver?
>>
>>14934743
It'll obviously be in the sequel, SRW W, duh. Wait...
>>
>>14934751
Is that the second half subs name they gave Joe?

I physically couldn't stand the HKs so I turned off the subs and went in RAW.
>>
>>14934734
Either Tusk or Setsuna. But movie Setsuna isn't as autistic as his TV persona so probably no.
>>
>>14934734
Hibiki
>>
>>14934757
Yes. Even though he says "Joe the Ace" the subs say Kevin the Driver.

That was fucking magical. I hope that is a joke somewhere in V.
>>
>>14934749
Wasn't SEED pretty much entirely post-plot in L, and like K was only listed for a couple of grunts?

I actually want an SRW to fucking use both series for once, just to see what they do with it. K having SEED/GSD/Stargazer and not having a big enemy group consisting of the Druggies, Extendeds, and Sven's branch of Phantom Pain was a goddamn crime. Then again it wouldn't be K if it wasn't letting us down somehow.
>>
>>14934764
I doubt they'll have jokes about the HK subs unless the Singapore team has seen those subs.
>>
>>14934749
Don't forget, Magenta Galaxy has two stages translated. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_0j6xDGnq57oB123NEHCtPyZDARIlaCE8cotWvXZ_f0/edit?pli=1

It's stage 15 and 16 on one route split, so you have a fair bit of time until you have to worry about it.
>>
>Tusk and Setsuna same VA skit
>>
>>14934768
SEED in both K and L is just so they can reuse W/J's grunt sprite, and Duel/Buster I guess.
>>
>>14934769
They probably have, also with the amount of Gundams I am kinda expecting some Sunrise intervention in the translation similar to Gundam Breaker 3.

>>
Oh hey, Seed and Destiny have compilation films. Just going to watch those. Frankly, I know the broad strokes from osmosis and other SRWs, but I figure if Im going to be TLing it I might as well know it a bit more.

Alright!! let's do this.
(This took longer than I thought.)

Story.

A city-sized alien spacecraft crashes in South Ataria Island on Earth.

Wanting this Alien Spacecraft many nations when to war over its ownership and Technology.

The winner of war was the Holy Britannian Empire, and in the process of reverse-engineers the Macross technology
They created the Knightmare Frames and The Valkyries.
They took over the world and renamed Japan Area 11.

They also rebuilt the spacecraft, naming it the SDF-1 Macross.

The Macross went to war with the alien race the Zentradi, a song ended the war.

And Humans and Zentradi lived in peace as they exploded space together discovering more alien species.

The U.N. Spacy was created, to deal with problems out in Space.

But Back on Earth....
The World was at war with a Terrorist called Zero and his army the Black Knights.

After a grand battle the Holy Britannian Empire was able to stop the demon Zero.

But on the day of Zero's defeat would not be a day of celebration.

As the defeat of the Devil Zero caused a monster of extraterrestrial origin to land on Earth.

But unlike the Macross this one had evil intents.

That object was dubbed "EI-01" it absorbed a large number of machines into itself, before disappearing without a trace.

But it did not leave in peace before it's disappearance the "E1-01" summoned The Mimetic beasts to land waste to Area 11.

This lead to War. And a final battle against the Mimetic beasts the hero Goh Saruwatari saved the day.

Following the defeat of the Mimetic beasts and knowing the "E1-01" was still out there.

The Holy Britannian Empire created an secret organization to combat the alien threats:
The 1st was the Dannar Base.
And the 2nd the Gutsy Geoid Guard, or "GGG"
Both companies were made to take down any future Alien treats.

The HolyBritannian Empire empire worked hard as ever in case the Devil called Zero will come again.

(There is more.)

- Yesterday -

When One day... it happened.

Out in the universe, The Kikaika began to invade the solar system in space.

The U.N. Spacy sent there Gaint Battleship The Macross 7.
To attack the Kikaika head on, stopping their invasion on the solar system.

In a matter of moments, they took over the Gaint Battleship the Macross 7.
During the battle, the Song Force "Fire Bomber' had sudden disappeared, and then the Macross 7 was converted as part of this Kikaika.

After the battleship, the planets Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, Jupiter Mars. where next.

This lead to a series of malfunctions has caused a computer on the Moon armed with a planet-destroying cannon to go rogue.

But the U.N. Spacy would not take this lying down, the sent out the Virtuaroid.

Robots from the future where to get to the moonbase and stop the rogue computer, defeat the Kikaika and save the Macross 7.

One of these Robots is a giant fan of Fire Bomber the Hatsune Miku Virtuaroid.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_4hxrHqfdg

The Kikaika arrive on Earth, waiting for them is The King of Braves GaoGaiGar, and Godannar.

The Kikaika then summoned the Zondar and Mimetic beasts out of their sleep.

But with the two robots was Earth's ancient protector and soldier of light, Eldoran.

To fight this menace he gives a 6th-grade class of Harukaze Elementary School three huge robotic dinosaurs,
including of Magna Tyranno and Grantops, with the power to merge and form the giant robot Gosaurer
including Hot blooded evolutions of Magnasaurer and Gransaurer, which they then can pilot and use to stop the
Kikaika Empire's advances.

(more to come)
>>
>>14934938
- Today -

The Earth seems fine... Dannar Base, GGG, Brattina, and U.N Spacy Virtuaroid's, will take down the 3 alien monsters.

If it wasn't for the fact that Zero comes back and with him is the man scientist Dr. Hell and together they want to
take over the world.

Mazinger Z comes to stop both Zero and Dr. Hell.

Not to mention the sudden appearance of the new world called Byston Well, where the Fire Bomber cast have been hanging out.
And during all this a teddy bear called Bonta-Kun is helping out.

This is... SUPER ROBOT WARS GRAND BATTLE!

King of Braves GaoGaiGar

Greatest range I've seen in SRC Dungeon, and most things in general, when not looking at something ridiculous like the Ideon Gun, is a 3-8 move, I believe. That was coming from Exaxxion, which I guess must have some fuck-you powerful cannon move to justify that sort of thing.

The Full Open mode on the Exa Cannon fires 4096 mm rounds from a 21 Caliber chamber. I believe it was capable of hitting something from halfway across the planet if it needed to, and the shockwaves from it firing can level cities from I believe a 10 mile radius around it.

Suffice to say, it's a big gun.

Makes sense. Pretty sure Exaxxion's the snipiest mech in SRC Dungeon.

I guess it would have to be, given it's got a movement range of two, hadn't even noticed that. Though I think one of those abilities is a "Gain extra movement at the cost of some EN" abilities some units have like God Mazinger.
>>
>>14935844
NUR on Z3 was pretty decent. I mean, it's still easy but the grunts can actually kill your units.
>>

>>
>>14935829
>And no more inspire system good lord, did no one ever consider just how many points towards stats you'd be getting out of that?

If it didn't scale up so crazily, OR if there was no Squad System, it'd be fine. GC had a friendship system that could be made to provide very notable boosts, but without a squad system (and because GC can get nasty at times) it works out.
>>
>>14935857
Keep in mind it has a unique way of moving called a Reverse Gravity Jump where it literally falls up and then propells itself to wherever it needs to go. I believe this functions the same way in SRC, giving it essentially terrain nullifying movement. I forget if it makes him move any faster.

>>14935862
Late in the series they brought out an Anti Matter shell, which was made of the same material the actual mech was made of. It was a last resort, since the material used to make it isn't human made and that shit's hard to find, and it functions as more or less a Depleted Uranium shell x1000. Because of the density it launched slow but could be propelled with another well timed shot of a regular round to reach the same speed.
>>
>>14935857
>>14935862
Wait never mind, I'm being dumb. That's probably it firing antimatter at things for its last attack (Antimatter Cannon?).
>>
>>14935872
>Keep in mind it has a unique way of moving called a Reverse Gravity Jump where it literally falls up and then propells itself to wherever it needs to go.

So basically how Neo Granzon flies. (and IIRC how Chamber does it too.)
>>
>>14935872
>>14935873
Interesting. SRC really did let me learn a lot of new mecha I hadn't heard of until then, and gave an insight as to what they might be like should they ever get into SRW proper (though with plenty of alterations; just take a glance at Gorg or Galient here compared to BX).

By the way, if anyone's wanting to see a particular mech from SRC Dungeon, I still have images of all the mecha within at full-upgrades, save for Neo Granzon.
>>
>>14935888
Unlike Neo Granzon or Chamber though, it can't really sustain this flight or float. It can only go up or down. And heaven help anything that happens to be wherever it lands, that's 200 ft. of alien metal that will likely cause a crater or 5 getting from point A to point B.
>>
>>14935899
Couldn't it theoretically turn in the opposite direction of where it wants to go, float into the air, fire something, and then slowly reassert gravity?
>>
>>14935910
In theory, that could work, however there's one small issue. The act of firing anything powerful enough to have an effect on the trajectory of the mech itself would likely cause more damage than actually landing. And really, it's definitely not controlled like the other two. If it was left on long enough it would just propel it into space
>>

Also XAN is awesome and is the guaranteed unit of the event ones. Playable XAN in SRW, it finally happened!
>>
>>14935818
Most scenario writers refuse to make a map larger than 15x15 so they have to throttle unit ranges and movement to make up for it.

For reference, the traditionally 8/9 movement units in modern games would be able to cross entire maps in SRC in just two turns.

>>14935871
Inspire really should have been a fixed small bonus or had some sort of hard cap on it. Its absurd when get to higher levels and your characters are basically giving each other 20-33 free levels worth of stats just for standing next to each other.

Inspire's a good idea in concept.
The issue came in when they decided it should be bonus points=(pilot level)*1. It ends up useless early and HORRIBLY broken late game. Especially since BX has some of the highest endgame level average in the (3)DS games.

The movement ranges in SRW's nearest equivalents (FE and AW) is basically 4-8 or 5-9 and those games don't have Accel for a free +3 movement. Other SRPGs hover at 3-5 but their maps are fairly small.

A Route - Votoms, Dunbine
B Route - Gundam, Raideen
C Route - Mazinger, Getter, Daimos

I'm really not looking forward to fighting Farah and the other endgame V Gundam enemies when nearly every character with Strike are on the other routes. My W-Up Units are also busy trying to shore up stats on the Methuss so its not complete dead weight.

>>
>>14936467
Not only that, but the plot was pretty random. People complained V's cast has no synergy with each other but I think Z2 has it worse.

To top it off, they retconned a lot of things. Ranging from minor one like Ranka suddenly knew Brera is her brother to Apollo's existence.
>>
>>14936483
It's pretty sad when a game has access to Orguss' Spacetime Bomb Easy Mode Button and the setting still comes out as a dissonant mess.
>>
>>14936483
I think Z2 had a lot of POTENTIAL synergy that just didn't get capitalized on.

The biggest example Code Geass getting stuck on its own little Japan instead of having it intermingle with the other stuff, with all these super robots suddenly showing up after Britannia's been ruling for a while and causing all kinds of polemic. Hell, they even had Dai-Guard, the show that's half about dealing with the government, right there.
>>
>>14936493
Z2's biggest problem was them dumping in all of Zeuth when most of them had no point causing a bunch of stages wasted solely to debut characters who already had an entire game to themselves.

I'd have only brought back Zambot, Daitarn, OGs, Big O, Orguss and probably one of the Gundam series just to cap things off. Then they could have made space for other series/spread things other better.

The Hakai/Saisei split didn't help either since that's what 100 stages to cover a single game's worth of plot?
>>
Could've sworn the OP pastebin had a gamerip of OG2 GBA's music.
And where's BX's soundtrack? I've got it dl'd on another machine but I'm sure I got the link from here.
>>
>>14936496
The Japan-based shows could have worked in CG's Japan, without there needing to have two Japans.
>>
>>14936496
I still don't know why they needed two Japans in the first place.

Even if you want to segregate Area 11 from the usual grorious nippon series, couldn't Britannia have just taken over part of the country or something? Like, the half with the ruins and the sakuradite mines and NOT the half festering with supertech. I still don't get it.

>>14936499
Z2 really should have been its own game for most of it and not even called Z2 (maybe Y or something), until Rand, Setsuko, and a few key series drop in late-game to make everything weird.

Then they could have combined all or parts of those games into something else (ZY? X?) for a grand finale if necessary, instead of 'here's Z1's setting with a bunch of shit from Z2 for no reason'.
>>
>>14936510
>(ZY? X?)
SRW ZX Advent
>>
>>14936510
With all of the terrorists that made up Z2's cast, they could have totally just played that up as you being a resistance group formed against Britannia. Then add FMP and probably Gunbuster to the cast so we have some extra material, especially the former when Sosuke name dropped some of the more major plot places of Z2 early on in Z3 as part of a bunch of places that he's been to before.
>>
>>14936510
Z3 wasn't even Z1's setting. It was basically just Z2's setting with the UC and SEED stuff injected into it. Every other Z1 series either had their worlds shoved onto the Green Earth where they were rendered off-screen and completely irrelevant, or were just shoved into an entirely different dimension altogether like Orguss's.

Orguss's world was taken out for the last game of a series that started with the Space-Time Oscillation bomb. That's kind of a kick in the nads, isn't it?
>>
>>14936515
ADOVENTOOOOOOOO
>>
>>14936517

What the hell?
No, he does not.
He starts as a little bitch and then mans up and accepts the errors of his people, he's not rusing anyone and he doesn't have anything to do with the Arksabers, who were arguably acting independently by their own moral code before Uther grew balls.

The Arksaber knights were a bunch of morons who all got killed because they all had their dumbass reasons outside of loyalty to their ruler and country, Gerard fought as a mean to somehow atone for him losing to Gaioh and losing his family to him, Wayne fought to avenge Shuval, Gerard and out of obligations to his newfound title of Knight of Knights and his country, even Foxy Grandma did the same thing despite being a bit more batshit than the average Arksaber, Eureka also says she's not a bad person.

Nobody on Insalaum's side pulled a Chirico or a Rurusshu outside of maybe Uther on the final battle, and Uther also fought you genuinely as a way of proving his resolve, the eventual super surprise to Asakim/Gaioh was a planned extra in the case he lost to Crowe&Co, he would have eventually done to same even if they won. Gaioh himself explained his motives clearly once he regained his memories, no OG character in Z2 was rusing being a bad guy, they were all genuine morons.

Really, you guys joke about TE getting mad at people or Matt not playing the games, but you keep proving TE right and making Matt seem not that bad at the end of the day.

Superboss for the Z Special Disk created using some old scrapped design from King Gainer's production notes.

Storywise? It was a self sentient machine an alternate version of King Gainer, that ended up being the master controller of a remnant of the Black History something called the Executor autonomous system which Turn-A/X were originally supposed to be the core of and was supposed to help the Earth somehow before it went rampant.

They never really elaborated on that plot point again and who the Executors were, unless I missed it in Z2/3 under a different name.

Not really defending the game but I think it's just mostly people being biased about mobile/pachinko where their beloved franchise become "shameless, cash-grabbing shit".
I mean, sure, there's no way in hell X-Omega is a good game or something, but as opposed to hundreds of waifu-pandering kusoges they shit out every year? Not even worth comparing.
Most of these japanese mobile games, even with different gameplays, all boil down to collecting 'cards' with a rarity system and gatcha hell anyway. They're mean to be played in short bursts, in recess, literally anytime you feel like to, and the games will never end. I can't see the reason why people devote their time and money to these pointless kusoges, taking them seriously while there're dozen of high quality games out there they can play.

Focus on waifus and what not is a purely aesthetic value, and holds very little relevance in the various topics of technicals and other such more relevant topics, of which X-Omega happens to be on the lower end of the quality spectrum.
>>
>>14936657
Install the cia as normally, launch the game with HANS instead of normally, modifying the region to Japan.
>>
>>14936978
They're already improving it day by day though, adding new game modes, revamping shits, voices, live cut-ins, and like almost tripling the roster to please old school and normalfags alike, so I wouldn't say they aren't trying to make it a somewhat decent experience before the main games.

>Focus on waifus and what not is a purely aesthetic value

+10 to every stat that isn't Reaction at 120 Will. You get it from selling a 5 bar Sentinel/Ex-S. A 10 bar sale gives you a W-Up Unit on the side.

While this is an extremely enticing offer, selling a 10 bar Sirbine gives you Wings of Rean (SP Regen on the main pilot) AND a W-Up Unit. I recommend that once your main squad's at 5 bars near the end that you just waste the rest of your funds on buying/selling 10 bar Sirbines over and over again.

Oh, I think you know all too well how hard it is to find certain stuff.

I don't think Gun Hazard even had anything like some official lineart booklet for their wanzers, a shame since most of them are pretty delicious designs.

The problem with the only pieces of arts about GH wanzers is that they're really artsy shots most of the time that do not properly show the parts, so if you want to redraw them you've got to add some of your own stuff and interpret them a bit.

On the bright side, at least you didn't include Daiteioh, considering how impossible it is to find its manga.
>>
>>14937297
How do you even set music in SRC?
>>
>>14937404
Possibly, though I think that might require some editing in the data pack. Pretty sure there are some units that come pre-programmed to use certain tracks for certain attacks. Psychic Zan for Dangaioh for instance.

>>14937425
SRC has a lot of it programmed already, actually, you'd just need to match the file to the name programmed within for it to work, and you're likely going to get a large discrepancy in quality given the varying eras and materials within the game, especially since nobody's bothered to make MIDI versions of all the songs like it seems to recommend.

For what it's worth, here's what seems to be the entire listing of the music that's "supposed" to be in SRC Dungeon, as per the game's sound test menu. http://pastebin.com/rNbX9WJT
>>
>>14937441
Thanks, I'll have to try it out because I was getting tired of the generic SRC music.
>>
>>14937451
Yeah, same, I've just muted the program and used something else as background music, but having the full SRW experience with it would be nice, for those who can gather all the proper tracks anyway.
>>
>>14937441
>Pretty sure there are some units that come pre-programmed to use certain tracks for certain attacks.

I know the Braves all have their various themes for their finishers and I can't seem to find them all. Downloading the most recent version of the game had a surprise in that regard, because a lot of the lesser known stuff like Hexamoon and Remote Control Dandy had themes now and I know I didn't assign themes to those. Was a nice surprise.

>nobody's bothered to make MIDI versions of all the songs like it seems to recommend.

I tried, it was a wasted effort because I could only really find things that were popular and I can't make midis. The last midi pack I made should still be up on mediafire, but I've since switched to mp3s. Unfortunately I can't really post my findings with those because the damn folders at like 20 GBs now and on my connection it'd take a week to even upload.
>>
>>14937462
Ah, so you're still around, MIDI anon! I'd wondered how that endeavor went, pity it had to end rather fruitlessly. Wouldn't mind an MP3 version myself, but I see your reasoning.
>>
>>14936571
If they run ZERO vs. Ankoku Daishogun again they can always use Great Mazinkaiser, too.
>>
>>14937462
You know you can literally rip the midis from the SRW games themselves.
Rather, the soundfiles are all on sites like Zophars, you can rip the midis and banks from those really easily.
trust me i'm an expert on this topic. lemme know if you need some help
>>
>>14937510
Trust me, I wanted to, and I'm still fine tuning it for my own use, but it's just not really feasible for me to upload a completed MP3 set. I'd urge anyone who wants the full experience of the engine to try to use MP3s instead though, as it's easy to tweak and makes it much more enjoyable. And I'm always here, anon.

>>14937517
Truth be told, I've gotten Midis of just about everything from the games themselves, so that's not really an issue. It's everything else that doesn't have a base that's the issue. I got lucky with a few oddballs like Granzort and Yamato and lots of other various other series that haven't been in them yet but for the most part I hit a brick wall with the obscure stuff.
>>
>>14937524
At least it's a good thing Mazinger Angels got its own themes (somehow), so doing tunes for that is a cinch. Most mecha manga aren't so lucky.
>>
>>14937545
>Mazinger Angels got great ripped versions of their themes

>also not in SRC Dungeon

Given how much work that is and the potential that even a single update in the future might kibosh the entire bit of effort, it's one reason my "translation" efforts kind of stall each time I think about them. Not my intention though, I assure you; I just like the idea of SRC Dungeon eventually encompassing damn near everything remotely /m/.

>>14937573
I wouldn't mind a little playable Godzilla stuff myself, I'm sure there's probably some precedent of having a relatively mindless character be playable within SRC Dungeon. I mean, if you get technical you have those with no personality like half the SHMUP pilots.

Hell, wouldn't mind if they filled the roster with playable Kaiju, including different versions of Godzilla. Let's have 90s support defending the original and shit.

>>14937585
Nope, I think UC is the last Gundam they've shoved in, there's a lot missing since the last update for series never went further than 2014 and still misses a lot.

Just going by what SRW has used that SRC has yet to use you have Zoids and Chaotic Century, the SD Gundams, GC and any OGs past Z, Heroman, the Frontier movies, obviously stuff like Yamato 2199 and ZERO (though classic Yamato is in), Break Blade, WRONG Tetsujin, Diebuster, Daiteioh, Dorvac and probably plenty of others.

Start 2 gives you a small team to work with of units as Plus Mode, and has some other differences I think.

I'll probably start slowing down a great deal in the future, hours are going down a little and the bit of extra funds I have will eventually dry up, unless I get good commissions of my own. Leona's day may come, though I still need to think of a good look for it. Be it generic hetero smut or something like laying on a towel looking like she just got done showering or something.

The power level in OG and mainline are different

I have no problem with mazinger mooks in Z3 but holy fucking Gadisword grunts

I was talking about the Giants in Masoukishin

You mean the only use your finishers or else?

Those are the ones, don't even get me started on black giants which will wreck your shit if you let your guard down.

Seriously?
Also, 70K and 35F/kills to upgrade an MP Gespenst mkII into a god damn AM Gunner?

That's all right, don't spend money you don't have. Good luck on getting some prime commissions of your own.I'm gonna vote for Leona/Rai awkward incest every time, but that's me.

The grunt giants are the worse because they have like 33k HP, 10% Hp Regen and hit like a truck

Good luck figuring out what to choose, that right out of showering pic sounds rather nice though.

>>14938148
Be wary of Awakened Unicorn, it tends to crash games.

Also the only reason to even fear the small giants is because they have numbers and power while the black ones only have power.
>>
>>14938122

Just because someone pulled it off well doesn't mean Thracia wasn't built on bullshit.
>>
>>14938151
>Be wary of Awakened Unicorn, it tends to crash games.

isn't that only if animations are on?

>Also the only reason to even fear the small giants is because they have numbers
and you have fuck all for will at the start and this is on the Winky formula
>>

>isn't that only if animations are on?

Seems to be, though nobody seems to be able to figure out how, it seems almost completely random. Fucked me over the first time since I had to go through that whole finale stage again thanks to the forced Unicorn vs. Neo Zeong scene.
>>
>>14938152
Thracia's a lot like Alpha Gaiden where the difficulty most of the time is overstated.
>>
>>14938161

I wouldn't say it's overstated because I beat it. The only part of the game that I didn't find hard was the final boss, which for some reason was piss easy.
>>
>>14938134
Oh, wait, you can, it's just the game keeps displaying the original requirements.
Just upgraded the Gespenst at 15F rather than 35.
>>
>>14938167
It is overstated because a lot of people hear about the big scary unique mechanics and just assume that its super tough.
>>
>>14938173

It IS super tough. Not because of the mechanics, but simply because the game is rather ruthless.
>>
>>14938142
I've still been considering that one. Kind of have a basis for it. Plot mostly hinges on a younger Leona/Rai slipping away from a high-class gathering they don't want to be in and maybe nipping into some wine Rai pilfered, but not sure if that really seems feasible.

>>14938151
Yeah, I'm kind of liking the idea after mentioning it, I'll keep in mind for a while.
>>
>>14938177
Thracia hands you so many things like status/warp staves and absurdly silly characters like Asvel, Othin, Fin and Fergus.

There's also a bunch of stuff like passive support bonuses that exist that can help you out. Enemies in Thracia also aren't that strong statistically (outside of a few cases) so they rely on map design and inventory to pose a challenge.
>>
>>14938189

Well I had a lot of trouble beating it my first time.
>>
>>14938078
Patrick is the close range one of the GN XIV pair, as memory serves. The ranges should be ok together.

>>14938155
>isn't that only if animations are on?

Yeah, so save before doing much with Unicorn or killing Unicorn bosses.

It doesn't happen TOO often, but it can happen and is likely to proc at least once.

With SD Gundam G Generation Genesis coming out in English, are the G Generation games generally worth it?
>>
>>14938285
They're a fairly different beast compared to the SRW games, but I find them enjoyable in their own way. If you're not a big fan of Gundam though, or just find the style too vastly different from SRW, well...
>>
>>14938285
No.
Like, seriously no.
There's a few with interesting crossover plot, but they also play even worse than the mindless grindfest that the mainline ones are.
>>
>>14938285
If you're tolerant of a grind they can be. The freedom to make whatever you really want from any series into a massive shit wrecker is pretty great, but Genesis's entirely Early UC cast list doesn't allow for a whole lot of customization but I'll assume it was done to be a testbed for the new technology for later games that do more AUs. At least I hope so. Literally the only thing I'm looking forward to in Genesis is Monoeyes and it's DLC.

I don't see how Zeon's supposed to be a threat this late in the game after we beat people like Barao and stopped the Angel Halo but its probably just them being cockroaches as usual.

At least the Earth Route guys have to put up with the Daitarn/Dancouga/Getter villains.
>>
>>14938303
>AGE 2 has shit weapon range so good partners is a hard thing to find

fixed
>>
>>14938094
The npc SR points in ogmd arent even hard. Only way I can see them being hard is if you somehow decided that you wouldn't spend any SP healing them.
>>
>>14938285
I recommend them if you enjoy any of the combination of the following

>No limitations on Pilot/MS combos. Anyone can pilot anything.
>The ability to grind up your favorite pilot/units to absurd levels.
>Get to play out your favorite scenarios from your favorite shows, sometimes with minor crossovers (such as MS IGLOO's cast showing as enemy reinforcements in 0079's finale, etc)

They're great for when you've got nothing better to do and just want to fuck around in the Gundam setting, but the biggest con to the franchise is that there's no real reward to completing the game.

Other SRPGs will give you some motivation to push forward, whether in the form of new characters/units/story or major crossover events you wouldn't get elsewhere, but G Generation never really got into that mentality.

This post is making me wonder if I really should go ahead with Top Sahib Top Anime Hour.

The fans deserve an honest reviewer who is willing to fake an accent.

It's not the ones keeping them alive, it's the ones keeping them from killing enemies.

Those are a total crapshoot and RNG dependent

>finding partners for Age 2 is hard

Well, there's Gaogaigar, Zaureru, Dunbine, the Botunes, Fighter ZZ, Big Volfogg, Patrick's GN-XIV, pretty much every SD Gundam unit that isn't Nu, Boss Borot, Manon's Guardian, Sirbine, Zwauth (not Zwarth, the thing you are using, but Zwauth), the Delta Plus, the red Clanche, the Genoace and 0G frame Aestivalises. Not very much choice there, really.
