Astray, Astray R, and X Astray were all localized. That is all the original spinoff manga with a Lowe focus. What didn't get released was the B Astray novel or any of the Destiny/Stargazer era sequels, although Destiny Astray and Delta Astray are scanlated.

The whole Astray series builds up on the world of SEED. If that's your cup of tea then go for it.
Most stories are centered around different characters and their own stories but they have one thing in common, the Junk Guild.
It reads like fan fiction. The Junk Guild is a peace loving group that is loved by all factions, they make the best mobile suits with every single technology possible while shitting on lore established previously. It's horrible.
The only good Astray story is the one about the failed Ultimate Coordinator.

Junk Guild's an important economic faction in a post-space colony world, you wouldn't expect people to not like the Red Cross, a similar attitude applies to a neutral coalition that salvages and sells on space debris. Lowe's crew are the peace loving faction loved by everyone because Lowe is pretty close to a borderline Mary Sue, it just isn't as much of a problem when he exists in the same universe as Kira Fucking Yamato. And part of the reason they get access to all the best technology is having pretty close relations with ORB.
