Why did Kamui get so excited about the people who killed Takuma's mom? At no point did he ever seem like he actually liked Takuma, but after that he was pulling the whole "we're friends, but..." card.

Why didn't Hayato tell Kamui about how demons killed Kamui's father like a bitch? That would have prevented some misunderstandings. If peace with humans were achieved, then Getter Emperor would have never happened and Getter projects could have been decomissioned.

They don't know that. What they know about the future is that humans went into space and ended up fighting aliens as they fought for territory. Getter then jumped into lead humans. They specifically mention that Getter manipulated events to its favor. Essentially, as far as the Aliens and Kamui are concerned, Getter Emperor is belligerent no matter what.

I always liked the idea behind Musashi. The Getters can only be piloted by people with high fitness/physical scores and IQ, and because the standards are so high, Satome can't really find a third guy who is on the same level as Ryoma and Hayato. An ordinary person who tries piloting one gets beat up so bad they barely survive. Along comes Musashi who pilots the first time by sheer accident, and they end up keeping him, despite him failing every single test, simply because he's so damn tough he can consistently survive in a getter. And since he's such a goofball, he becomes the glue that holds the team together and keeps Ryoma's and Hayato's strong personalities from tearing things apart.

So yeah, that kind of makes it obvious why he's the one to die.

Daikessen's Black Getter is made from spare parts from various Getters.

In real life, it's based on the first Black Getter rough design, which had a different head and wears a scarf, created for the OVA. That design was rejected in favor of the current OVA version.

That rough design was touched up a bit (different head and removal of scarf) and chosen for the game version.

Now for Shin Getter Dragon from Daikessen, it is the original design for the OVA's Shin Dragon. An executive thought it would be cool if it was combined with Uzara, which led to the OVA design.

I'm pretty new to /m/ and I wanted to start reading the Getter Robo manga much like >>13839581. I know the reading order and I have the whole series downloaded... but I got confused when I was digging for information on Getter.

What is Getter Robo Saga? From what I can tell, it's the best way to read the series. It apparently has new pages, revisions, and a better(?) ending to the overall series. This is where I get confused. According to MAL, Getter Robo Saga is 9 volumes and 69 chapters while the 5 mainline series together are 17 volumes and 73 chapters. Maybe the Getter Robo Saga has more pages per chapter or something.

Should I download Getter Robo Saga and read that, or stick to the original? If I should read Saga, then where do I get it from?
