Gilly's gespenst really needs either a combination attack or an upgrade. Against grunts he's cool and has no issues maintaining his ammo and EN in good enough levels to last a whole stage by itself, but it really lacks in boss killing power.

No, none of them have an attack viewer. As far as I know, Z's special disc and OG Gaiden were the only games to give that sort of thing.

Your best bet if you only want to view the attacks is to check Youtube at this point, or just play the games themselves until you've gotten the units/attacks you want to see.

(Though I think J, at least, had a debug mode you could go into that could more or less simulate a proper battle viewer, actually...can't remember the code for it, though.)

Speaking of the come back part, I have no idea if this is a feasible thing and it might not get in because of that, but if it is possible, in FIRST, one of the things I want to attempt to implement is a "boomerang" ability, where the move hits twice (once on the way there and once on the way back), to be applied to things like Giga Puncher Grind and... well, boomerangs. And each hit would have its own hit chance, so against dodgier things if you don't want to use Strike you can use those moves to get a good chance at some damage.
