Check the EN wiki linked in the "getting started section" to see if a problem you're having has already been debunked
Been away for a while and just came back. Seems White Piggu got shut down? Or from the broken translation of that message that's the impression I got. That, or I just got kicked out for inactivity.
Is something up with the game? I'm sitting in this queue forever. Could just be a bad time to try and play, I dunno.
>, is White Piggu still around? I'd like to fuck up some Feddies.
They are, but not very active. I reccomend joining the

GOTTA SELL THOSE FUCKING KITS
So I just started playing a few days ago and had a couple of questions that I can't seem to find in the eng wiki (seems like it is fairly out of date at this point) or through the horrible google translate of the Japanese site, though it is good for helping me figure out what weapons are what on the different suits.
What are some good ms to aim for as a begginer Zeon player, I had originally thought of just saving up till I could afford a gold blueprint but that seems like its going to take a long time. So is it better to just spent some on getting silver blueprints of a few things and then save after you have some better suits to fight with? I currently have the (purple) Zaku 1 Gellert, (silver) Gouf, (gold) zaku 2 F heavy, (gold) Zaku 2 F2 heavy, and a (gold) Zaku 1 Sniper that almost never gets used.
What exactly is the purple blueprint and what makes it special? (I'm assuming it is anyway) I'm guessing the purple/silver and purple/gold mechanic tickets only work on those blueprints, it seemed like that from what I could tell.
I've heard mention of the tiers (gold, bronze etc) but it seems like it just throws everyone together anyway, I've seen plenty of gold and silver name bars in the lobby.
Thanks for any help.
>the only people who do this are faggots
Literally everyone who browses 4chan is a faggot so its not all that big of a deal.
>so your circle-jerk is dying this hard?
It died a long time ago.
>What exactly is the purple blueprint and what makes it special?
couple of things:
- You can use the "extra" mechanic tickets (purple/gold or purple/silver) you can get from the current EX on it.
- It always has a 100% GREAT SUCCESS chance when upgrading with a master ticket (or extra ticket beta), no matter the current upgrade. basically allows you to get 30 great successes with 30 master tickets, although the stat gain is still random for each upgrade.
- You get an "extra" bonus after upgrading it to 30/30. It's a small bonus to one of the 6 main stats (3% armor, 1% speed, 3% boost charge, etc) which you can choose.
Accumulating 10 DX tickets are a lot faster than trying to collect 5m GP (daily gasha, exchange tickets, ranking rewards, event rewards, etc.), so you might consider that option and try to get the suits you wanted that way instead. Even if you don't get the suit you wanted from the gasha, just use/try out the others they gave you instead.
>I've heard mention of the tiers (gold, bronze etc) but it seems like it just throws everyone together anyway, I've seen plenty of gold and silver name bars in the lobby.
You mean pre-match screen? It also depends on the time, there aren't that many player on early morning or noontime JP except for the neets so the matchmaking are a lot more random. Also idk if they changed it recently, but matchmaking only counts for the highest rank in a platoon if you ever join one.
Zaku I Commander Type, Gellert Custom.
It's an actually good suit. Not as good as the GM, but good.
Today should be the day when Gundarium items can be cashed in. I love this. Zeon gets the fat heavy paperweight, Federation gets the slim mobile assault with even more electro-whip whoring for the readily aqua-GM-overflowing hoard of bullshitium gnudams.
Also, Hyaku-Shiki is getting buffed.
I think he meant what Zeon will be getting as the counterpart to the Barzam Kai, though >>13772818 might be close that we'll just be getting a "custom" of some random guy's grunt suit.
Says 20th, but I might be wrong. This text isn't copiable on my browser for proper googling.
apparently they didn't update the site itself, but on one of the previous update/patch notes they stated that the event will be postponed by a week.
How odd. Because I always considered the marasai to be complete shit, I am not even going turn in for one. I'll get just dx tickets and master tickets. However the rick dias has always been op to me. And yes I have both respective counterparts in gold.
Anyone complaining about Feddie getting the advantage from the Gundarium event is truly just bitching at that point.
Both have their merits though. Beam shooter Rick Dias is really good, while a combat custom Marasai is going to shine more than the other passives for sure. I also have both of them as gold with those passives, so maybe I just got lucky.
they keep putting problematic maps on rotation without ever fixing it.
>actually it'd make for a great event suit, ala bearguy
>Anyone complaining about Feddie getting the advantage from the Gundarium event is truly just bitching at that point.
I just don't care about balanse, as long as I can get my custom painted white rick dias
should I print my Gold gellert or should I keep digging for a purple blueprint?
Can someone tell me what this is about? First time I've seen it show up.
Also can someone tell me what the Clan Challenges are? I can't seem to find them on either the eng or jap wiki.
Thanks for any help.
Do you want to have commander's power. You get to spend the gauge points as if you are a commander, but still able to play the battle.
I'm going to guess it's the clan challege for BrightSlap, so I'll do that in the in-game clan bulletin.
Next patch doesn't look good for Zeon.
Kampfer is just G3 Gundam mirror and the Ridden's assault Gelgoog is just your normal assault unit with improved initial boost.
Armored NT-1 doesn't get the shield, but instead gets a massive Chobham armor and high balance, also retaining the standard NT-1 arsenal plus charge beam rifle and improved charged zook. Barzam Kai looks like the versatile "all-weapons-included" type with instant switching with some of the weapons.
Also implementing controllable Ace (just like Star Wars Battlefront game) where someone can now control the Ace suit directly with increased HP but lowered damage to bases and with an expiration timer.
So, we're getting fucked willy-nilly again?
Well, business as usual. I bet they're giving the Alex some kind of explosion resistance to ensure not even our Zaku IIF's make a difference anymore.
>Alex finally no longer feeling like a huge issue
>They make a stronger Alex
The Marasai and Rick Dias from the Gundariums are different from the normal ones.
For one, the roles are reversed, so Fed Marasai would be a heavy unit while Zeon Rick Dias would be assault. Weapon loadouts will definitely change, no more 10k zook and charged beam rifle for the Rick Dias for instance, likewise with the Marasai will definitely get some additional weapons (most likely CBRs).
So yes, we still won't know how bad will Zeon get shafted again.
Chobam armor will be equipable like a shield. CBR and CBZ weapons.
Heavy kampfer is slower but adds charge (double) bazooka weapon and shotguns have slug ammunition whatever hell that means.
Also for the two maps (New Yark and Texas Colony) a player can play as the ace. Looks like it will be a mostly a testing thing. Maintenance notes says that they lower the damage to bases so it's not bullshit and wants a more battle changer type of thing.
Kill enemy bases or win by objective bar, as usual?
Zeon wins often in gold tier because of team stacking, as tryhards exist on zeonside too. Groups of "elite players" set up a stream and follow it to see when fedside "elite players" enter a battle. Once they're in a game, and only then, will Zeon side "elite players" enter the battle queue, hoping to keep winning by not facing the other group of hardcore players. The same goes vice versa, of course, and in even larger numbers, thus producing fixed win games.
It's a bit blurry to even me, but... first, the bar has three whole bars. Games end when either 20 minutes is full, or one team loses all 3 bases or all 3 bars. Bars are depleted by a team's base being damaged, or a team's MS being killed. And the kill is registered only when the MS's corpse explodes finally, not when it falls and the countdown to death starts.
Most battles are decided by breakthroughs where some players make it through all defenses into the enemy base and deal enough damage to open a gap in score. The other "game winner" is nukes - robutt-carried bombs that are planted next to bases, that in case of big nukes destroy the whole thing, or in case of small nukes, damage it significantly. The availability of these depends on map. Also, follow the map and the chat log for activity, as getting to participate in wave attacks is good for point gain. You can tell these by identifying the drop beacons or supply planes in enemy territory blinking, as they are still being initialized.
Long story short, shoot bases, explode dudes, participate in soviet infantry doctrine attacks.
An interesting thing to note is that it's a 300 cost suit instead of 340 cost. Same with the Marasai, which has gone down from 320. I hope that cost decrease isn't enough of a reason for them to take away the beam guns.
Zeon do not win "often" in gold tier, even with a heavily stacked team following a streamer or the like, you will lose on almost every map in the current rotation, god forbid you get torrington, where the Zeon team is playing basketball with a team of 12 year old dwarves vs clones of michael jordan.
>people unironically still think that management has a federation bias
jesus, well you got your wish. Being Federation has been suffering with all the meta shit Zeon has been getting.
Defeating my first cueball felt like defeating a boss or something
Do not, ever, respond to Crix.
And yes, the centre base is nadeable, but it has been made purposefully far more difficult than the Shamblo's gaping gap. Furthermore, Zeon has been made sufficiently less capable of keeping the nading positions thanks to MS composition, ace divide, and simple map build.
You're just a smelly noob, most likely lacking any effective mobile suits or the skills to use them.
Fairly new to the game, I am rank 12 but still haven't gotten a promotion yet. Still have the same insignia since I started Fed side. While on Zeon side I moved up in promotions quite fast. What gives?
It might have to do with the rank changes, and the fact that higher Fed ranks are very stable and un-fluctuating, creating a sense of stagnation there.
Can you point your rank out from this list? It might give further insight.
Been here longer than you, friendo. Sorry, maybe I'd see the light if I hopped out of gold
>le don't respond to crix maymays rather than just not fucking responding
Oh you're just an SDGO shitter.
Only certain types are chargeable. The Zaku I sniper doesn't get one, instead it gets the continuous damage rifle that has a very long range, and is intended for attacking turrets, carriers and supply ships from beyond range.
The charging beam rifles start to appear at 280 cost sniper suits.
The real problem with the meta for Feddie is the Gerbera Tetra. It's one of the easiest suits to use. Even if a complete retard is using it they will still be able to melt you in a few seconds. Now picture a gold rank player using it.
The original poster certainly isn't right though, I can agree on that. Federation isn't "suffering", but then again neither is Zeon. There's been a Feddie bias for years, and now the Gerbera Tetra is Zeon's great revenge. Thing is, I've never used it on my main Zeek, and I'm still comfortably in gold.
What I'm curious about is how many people actually play both factions.
I have one character on each server's each side. I started with just Zeon, but settled to a comfortable pace of playing a game or two on each per day.
I confess that only my Fed characters are currently gold-ranked. This fluctuates a bit too, of course, but generally speaking it has been very easy to just coast along with a constantly superior performing team than on Zeon-side.
All in all, in my experience, gold tier is the same on both fed and zeon side in that you cannot do anything to win, or to even have a fun game, if you are pitted against a purposefully built "elite player" team. To "succeed" in MSGO, you have to abandon all thoughts of resisting the flow. You have to join it, and become a part of the problem to keep winning steadily. One or two internally cohesive and co-operating platoons are enough to make a game that of punching-bagging if the opponent is an unorganized one, and the general trend is towards finding these games and avoiding actual competitive play between organized groups.
Superior performing team is completely different than superior performing individual. Feddie is definitely easier to stay in gold, but to still perform top 10 isn't a piece of cake just because you've got an Alex or something.
I don't even pay attention to win/loss ratio. It never matters to me. You're right, there's absolutely nothing I can do to force my team to win or lose. That's what happens when there's 100 people in a match. All I can do is help my own score. If I can do equally as well in both factions at gold, then to me the bias isn't at an individual level. I feel it's just that Feddies have more of these elite squads because the Alex used to be the easiest suit. Now it's the Gerbera Tetra if you ask me. As time goes on, maybe it'll even out. Not like that's a good thing.
The tetra was great for a while, but since the mk2 came out and the feddies realized the gp01s beam is insane, they drop like flies in any fight they don't catch a man with his pants down. The maps are pretty decent for zeon win rates this week, torrington and 08th with the BA and capital ships being the exception. The qubeley is a cool suit to use but completely countered by almost every suit in the meta the feddies use, 1 chaingun set from an alex and it's down, shiki/mk2 will rip it apart with the shotgun, etc.
No, the Tetra is still just as powerful as it has ever been. They certainly don't drop like flies. It's incredibly easy to use, and still has higher firepower than the Gerbera Gundam. In many situations there are groups of Gerbera Tetras, meaning multiple beams flying around. You cannot dodge something like that, and many suits cannot take sustained fire for more than a second or two. Even a Hyaku Shiki with beam coating will cease to exist in a flash.
Use the basic bazooka ammo + the howitzer ammo as an explosive combo. Secondary weapon should probably be a machine gun. A lot of suits do this better, but who doesn't want to be a Referee Gelgoog with a bazooka strapped to his shoulder?
You are incredibly terrible with your shiki if that is happening, even if you were fighting 2 on 1 you can easily knock one over and kill him in 3 shotgun shots, and then knock the other one over and kill him with a bazooka shot, same with the mk2, the gp01 just flat out takes 60-70% of a tetra's hp with his charge LBR. and those examples are just if you get caught with your pants down outnumbered, I kill tetras all the time with my WD guncannons, any suit with at least a CBR will knock a tetra over, they are never grounded, and will never have enough balance to avoid the hit. with how many shiki's i've seen in my recent games the tetra's i'm around on my zeek do in fact drop like literal flies, even using the double gatlings like they should against a shiki, they only win against the guys who have no idea how to aim.
I play it like a heavy. B3 Rifle, F Bazooka, and Missile Launcher of choice. 2 insta-switch weapons and it has huge HP with decent mobility. Probably one of my favorite suits in the game.
>A lot of suits do this better
well, not really. not many have the zook+howitzer combo and even less with instant switch. not to mention while the zook is weaker than heavies', the stronger howitzer makes up for it.
the beam rifle isn't too shabby as well, or you might opt for the missiles for another insta switch weapon, but you'd be better off using greydon's zaku cannon for that.
It's a lot more powerful than the Gelgoog or Zaku II sniper, but it's not an improvement over them. The mega charged beam sniper plays differently than the normal charged sniper rifle.
In the battle assist modules, the attack tab (first tab) the last modules show the image of a gun. What does that module do? I looked at the jp wiki but I cannot interpret the google speak.
It really depends on how you do in the 7 matches given, and currently nobody knows how they calculate it. It can be K/D ratio, total score, base damage, repair units, W/L, heck maybe even just being on a certain platoon. It's really hard to crack this too since there are evidences of ridiculous cases (someone ranking 40-50 and losing most of his 7 matches, only for him to get ranked up to Admiral).
That said, enemy kills and base damage seem to give out the most "promotion points", as in if you do alot of these within your 7 matches it's much more likely for you to get promoted.
The alex gattling isn't enough to kill quebley's health pool. Mk2 has a better chance but is even easier to kill with a quebley.
GP-01's LBR isn't re-loadable. If it was maybe federation wouldn't be able to complain about tetra. The funnel buff on quebley is absolutely absurd, and they're now nearly impossible to dodge with the lag.
Yeah, the Halfcannon becomes absolutely godlike with the right passives and modules. Quick lock-on makes the missiles amazing, and the module of interest makes the gatling gun even better than before.
Screw Gerbera Tetra, screw Kampfer, I use four Halfcannons all day everyday.
Honestly, what the hell is wrong with zeon.
Do they turn their brains off at certain hours or something? Every map with battleship spawn is a sure lose because whoever pilots the ship is complety retarded.
That or trying to fly with the bomb knowing full well pretty much everything has cbr to knock you down.
There must be Feddie spies that jump over to Zeon during times where there are multiple battleship maps.
Also, if you have the nuke, why are you flying? Just boost across the ground with something fast. You can't get knocked down and it's easier to avoid being sighted.
Zeon is a shambles when it comes to organizing. Half the games where someone takes the commander's seat, one of the following happens: 1) the commander waffles and fails to give clear orders, leaving everyone confused, 2) commander gives an initial rush order and the players respond by not giving a shit and splitting into two groups of 20, of which one does nothing, and the other is crushed by a charge of 40, 3) commander gives a rush order, the team follows it roughly, and still gets mercilessly crushed, and the fed team steamrolls despite even the most desperate and valiant of attempts to recover.
4 out of 5 games have no commander anyway, though, so in the end, it's hard to get motivated even if one shows up.
A reminder that if you guys are having a bad time soloing to just get in ts3 and play together, solo games can be the worst in this, at least trying to buddy up with some guys can help. On the weekends we usually get a full/nearly full Platoon going, and I'm always up for dumb gimmick things, we used to do the tri stars a few months back, could be fun to attempt that again.
Why are federation snipers such bastards?
Sniped one just at the start of the game and he spent the entire game using a camera gun on me and only me, and actively sought me out several times.
No. Zeon has a smaller playerbase. Federation is generally the "Player 1" of the game, hero status and all, and pulls in more players. That's why they've been spoonfed so hard, because they have the larger mass of disposable income to fish for.
What Zeon has is a larger foreigner playerbase, which means a larger amount of noobs with 200 ping and no ability to communicate with their teammates running around.
The gaijin numbers really can't be that large. I don't think I've seen anyone with a blatantly foreign username like I do in more popular nip only games.
No Xx_ConsUmiNg_darKNEsS_xX or anything like that.
>charged zook on alex
>more armor on alex
>feds get two heavy assaults
>zeon gets two assaults
as long as I can paint the dias, I don't give a fuck anymore.
I made peace that Zeon is hard mode
it's a gold plated pistol for artillery users, like the juagg
>Is Act Zaku Sniper Type much of an improvement on Gelgoog or Zaku II snipers?
>go in the death corridor
>get 20+ killstreaks
yes it is
FA Alex has the 10k baz F damage and a (zoom-able?) sturmfaust like weapon on gold.
Barzam has majority normal and F-type weaponry, sturmfaust and all BRs is quick-switchable. Double sabers on gold.
Main highlight for the FA Alex would be the Chobham Armor which makes it impervious to knockdowns and the improved charged zook which does double the damage on full charge instead of 1.5x.
The black zeonic ricardo gimenez de la cruz de tu vieja is REALLY GOOD. Federation like beam saber, twin beam pistols, 10k zook and pretty solid stats. It is like we were the federation.
What about the titan's marasai?
Highlights from each of the new suits:
10k zook F
6.5k charge zook F, 2x damage
scoped sturmfaust at 11k
Chobam armor module prevents stagger and knockdown
pixie melee with double saber range
mk II vulcan pods
quick switch on a lot of weapons
beam coating mk II shield
I'd stay the fuck away from the melee on the rick dias, it's super punishable. also the twin beam pistols do not fire at the same time, they just alternate shots which is much weaker, otherwise a great suit though.
Im having a lot of problems patching the game, it keep redownloading the same patch and just randomly decides to not patch anymore and launch the game.
I don't have idea why is doing this, the problems started like 3 updates ago.
Who the hell honestly thought this DX was a good idea? The Barzam has instant swap from a Faust to a FABR, the FA Alex literally will take all shots and not die ever and also never get knocked over, and also have a scoped Faust and a charge bz that does 2x damage because reasons.
Zeon gets a slower Kampfer with a CBZ and a fat Gelgoog with no really standout traits on it.
And by standout traits I mean anything that jumps up and down and says, "oh man this is neat" besides being red.
At least the chargoog has almost no spread when boosting, so you can couple that with beam Shooter to have a good time.
The melee is great, why do you say it's super punishable? The beam pistols aren't "much weaker" either, they are still very solid if you ask me. Up close they will shred just as well as the others. It's just balanced for a 300 cost suit instead of 340.
The Barzam and FA Alex are very impressive, but I'd argue that the Kampfer is as well. Double bazooka + double howitzer rounds is really powerful. Combined with sturmfausts, it has a lot of firepower. Not sure how the slug shotgun is though.
Of course, you didn't mention the Alex's CBZ only has two rounds. You did say the Kampfer is slower, but the FA Alex is as slow as a giant turd. The Kampfer is still going to have comparable speed to the normal Alex. It's not as bad as you make it sound.
The Gelgoog is pretty mediocre though, yeah. High Mobility type with the Ridden melee. Nothing special compared to the Barzam.
I'm very sorry, I worded it wrong. I meant the heavy Kampfer is going to have a speed comparable to the FA Alex just like the assault Kampfer is comparable to the assault Alex. About 100~ difference in speed for each.
Naw, Funnels are easy to dodge even using a slow ass FAG. Just keep boosting on a circular motion, and if they wait for you to run out of boost just juke them and stop boosting for a bit.
Funnel pressure needs a lock on and it easily breaks out of sight. Sticking to a wall will also make half of the Funnel disappear.
Let me put it this way.
The Dowadge, a 340 cost heavy, has more speed than the heavy Kampfer, while possessing more weapons variety. Again, who the hell thought this through? This DX is awful.
The same guy who statted the original Alex and Kampfer.
It's a simple game in his mind. There are two roles. The first role is for one ot be standing up and with their trousers down, while the role for the other is to be on their kneels with their mouth open.
... yeah, you need a VPN. You oughta know better than to ask 4chan things.
Mudfish will let you play for 6 months for 5 dollars, roughly. Other options exist, but are vastly inferior in quality and cost.
>Rick Dias reticle raise by six fucking miles to accommodate the bulk
OW MY MUSCLE MEMORY
The price/date rate varies based on which node you are connected to. I went through 3 dollars worth of mudfish credit in a month when I was connected to... I think it was Linnode where as I have only used up 50 cents worth of data after a month and a half of playing on SakuraNet
wtfast is sooooooooooo fucking bad like holy shit its not even funny
>went through 3 dollars worth of mudfish
linode is actually one of the cheaper rates (small-ish server highly prone to traffic issues). and even with the different node rates it shouldn't take that much anyway. you probably connected to it while downloading game/patch for diorama front or something (cause it shouldn't even take the credits connecting to msgo's patch server, but generally just disable the vpn for updates).
Most people play both, I'm guessing.
There's no reason not to.
You can have both characters easily, and even if you don't really play the other character you can just let it sit around logging once in a while to collect freebies given every now and then.
It's also good to switch to when the other side falls in a period of unfun/unwinnable slump.
>these ad-hoc Rick Dias teams that keep forming in battle
it feels so good, even FA Alex cant stand up to five rick dias
EAT IT FEDDIES
So what do you guys think of playable aces now. I've tried a couple today. Gives you just enough time to capture a heavily contested point and mow down enemies. It was fun and exactly what I wanted, but tactically I still think the ai aces are better. They are derp as fk, but they last until death, and more ppl have to worry about them for longer, distracting a small chunk of the team. While with player aces, it costs the same amount of command points and the cd is the same, it also being 1 minute long doesn't provide the same level of distraction as perm ai aces.
Go fuck yourself. It's yet another large-bulked shieldless assault, while Federation on the other hand is handed out a - dun dun duuunnn - slim charging beam rifle heavy. And you have the nerve to complain.
... so... uh... it's a 300 point free Guncannon 2 with no zoom and an explosive charge beam rifle?
And the other side has a Space Dom Tropen, an almost-extinct suit to begin with?
Oh you cant slide through the air with your daggers/katanas anymore like a bird with down syndrome? That's good. Are Alex still absurdly strong in mid range combat? I was really tired of getting gatling gunned down all the time.
Pixies and ifrits can no longer abuse the 3-hit melee combo to fly. Earlier, their melee would be forward dash, backward dash, forward dash, which they would use to do the first dash, then turn around and point their faces to the ground causing the backdash to propel themselves up-forward, and then facing forward again to finish the combo with a forward movement. Most nip players would typically just macro this combo too.
Once Unicorn rolled about, the ability to gain altitude was removed. I haven't checked whether they can still direct the backdash abusively, but Pixies and Ifrits still retain the ability to sink themselves into terrain with their melee attacks, as well as the obnoxiously large melee hitboxes and erratically moving high damage melee combos, making them meta-capable.
Fred pixies are especially capable still, as they can increase their balance to unreasonable levels while retaining unreasonably effective and complex melee sequences.
Didn't they also nerf melee dash boost? I forget if it was specifically combat custom or the melee modules, but I believe they reduced how much they would help the boost gauge when melee charging.
For example, Efreet Nacht could never fly, but the DIII melee still dashed such a huge distance that normal boosting was useless. Instead, people would just melee boost over and over and over because it barely reduced the gauge once you stacked modules and combat custom LV5.
they nerfed they recovery from the meele animations if not wrong, it takes longer to recover withouth modules and combat custom, at least compared to before when it was almost instant for some units
Combat custom effect doesn't work if the attack doesn't hit a target.
That said, it is still possible for Pixies and Nacht to melee dash faster than any other unit boosting. You can't chase a Pixie melee dashing even with a Kampfer.
Thanks, that was it. The melee dash is certainly absurd even now, but at least it isn't as effective before. I believe the Aqua GM in water will still travel further with dashing rather than boosting as well.
I use it, it's okay but all the good Japan DDNS Hostnames have like 30+ people on it, changes all your traffic from your computer (youtube will be youtube jp, etc.) and connections get dropped sometimes if it's too old or too many people. If you do end up using it try finding one with 10~ sessions and 80 mbps line speed to connect to.
Firing into chokepoints works too, and just hitting far-away targets like snipers with it works too, but knockdowns are the main deal.
If you're away from a flier, do not lock on to them. Just practice until you can reliably lead. Prioritize targets that dash straight and do not zigzag.
Secondly, an upgraded lockon stat is beneficial for CBR's. This simply because it helps using the CBR like a shotgun in situations where you bump into an enemy up close. Snap to target, let go, change weapons, kill. This is a very easy task thanks to how thick beam rifle shots are, and this tactic is largely why WD Guncannons are such a horrible pain in the neck.
>thanks to how thick beam rifle shots are
I've always have problems hitting anything with beams, it fells the hitbox is the particle "bullet" itself
Beam rifle shots are blobbier than bullets, and as you say, the hitbox is the bullet. Their problem in hitting is that they travel slower, however, although CBR shots are quite fast at full charge. They behave very differently from bullet weapons, as such.
Do you have a Feddie? If so, use the Early Type GM with its CBR for practice. It's very low cost, so it's nice for low risk play and practicing.
You can either use a bazooka or a burst shot machine gun as a secondary. Or both, if you're comfortable with the balance. Machine guns in specific are really good right now if you only want one.
In addition, the 3-shot burst bazooka on the unit is significantly powerful in that it covers a lot of area in an unpredictable sequence with its barrage. This makes it hard to dodge. Furthermore, it gains increased splash power from the fact that a great deal of Zeon suits are simply fat. Finally, it has a very decent reload speed, which when upgraded allows you to keep up a steady barrage. As such, while the power of a single hit is low, you can easily suppress locations and rack in support points. It also has decent range and its total damage is the best of the group, which means it is very effective at wrecking installations. I heartily recommend it.
Heck, I'd even use it on a Zaku J, if it weren't for the CBz F.
It's a dom with better stats, and actual good sub weapons, it's a little too good for 300 cost. I'm surprised gunner gundam was 300 cost but that was to match half-cannon.
No zoom means shit accuracy, especially on the move.
Absolutely. The burst shot bazooka is even better with the blast expansion passive, but if you're using a CBR then I'd suggest beam shooter. It depends on what role you want to play.
Overall, it's such a good heavy suit for beginners and veterans alike, just like the Zaku IIJ/F for Zeeks.
Beam shooter is helpful especially on the 3-burst beam gun, which is a good killin' weapon. I run 3-burst and 3-burst, as it is, and occasionally ECM grenades.
The sad part of the CBR is that it doesn't have the guaranteed knockdown ability of the 280-cost suits'. It does only 1.5x damage at full charge afterall. However, this is usually enough when fighting other low cost suits.
That's why I run LV5 beam shooter. In fact, max damage F type CBR with LV5 beam shooter and maxed damage is enough to knockdown a max balance Kampfer with the usual shotgun/bazookas/sturmfausts without charging at all.
Usually stuff like Unit 02 and most Gelgoogs with beam coating shields won't be knocked down, but it's surprisingly powerful at LV5. The Guncannon II with LV5 beam shooter is where it gets stupid in terms of damage.
The sad part is now that the GP gashacon is gone, it's rather hard to get massive amounts of grunt blueprints. The gold blueprints cost 100k GP now, so wouldn't it cost at least 2 million GP to max a passive? That's absurd.
I concur. The GP system is being artificially constricted by both not allowing the tickets for GP sale, and by keeping their appearance frequency in loot piles abysmal.
I do not understand the decision. I used to be so very addicted to rolling GP gashas that it was basically the only thing that whiled me over the weaker months of the game.
Yeah I totally agree, there's literally no way of getting grunt blueprints without hoarding DX tickets for mouth or throw real money into BC points, which I don't do anymore. I really miss the GP gashacon cause with 11-30 rolls you were almost guaranteed a good blueprint.
You even had the slim ass chance of rolling gold, which happened to me once with a FA-78-1, I still want a gold Zudah and GM light armor but idk how I'm going to get one other than the new blueprint store or the DX gashacon.
I thought they would have filled the hole with someting more proper than those GP tickets but those don't really do the old system any justice, pretty depressing.
I've gotten strangely lucky with the new GP gasha system. Or did, back when it first started. Rolled a golden Gelgoog arty cannon, then a golden Zaku II FS, and finally a golden Desert Zaku assault.
Too bad none of them came out spray shooter, but hell, I count myself lucky.
Damn your one lucky sob, was that from a rainbow roll or just lucked out and landed on a red box? Think after I got that Full armored gundam that was the end of my lucky streak and that was more than a year ago I think.
Think I rolled 10 tickets in the GP and got cucked last time I did it, took forever to collect those things too.
And most of the gold MS I have all have terrible passives so I guess were the same on that.
I forgot just how insane the FS type zaku is when you're running all the gashacon boosts on it.
I miss being able to do that all day erry day
If you got combat custom on the FS even with a heat hawk you have the speed and charge meter to leverage it nicely. With practice you can take even pixies head on.
>DZA *AND* FS Type
You can basically stop rolling zakus now.
Three separate rolls, of course. I think one might have been a rainbow roll.
Both of them rolled rocket shooter, funny enough. It's like the game is telling me something. "Magella is the path! Magella is the way!"
Tragic considering what a shotgun hog I am.
>Tragic considering what a shotgun hog I am.
I'm on my second 5mil gold print, the DZA will be my third, I have a silver DZA that was one of my first GP gasgha units and my first to get a level 10 paintjob.
You REALLY want spray shooter lv5 on it, it's fucking great. DZA prints are hard to come by though and I'm sitting on a few silvers to stat one out.
>I still want a gold Zudah and GM light armor but idk how I'm going to get one other than the new blueprint store or the DX gashacon.
I have 1.1 Million to go to buy my gold Zudah.
When does the Gundamanium parts stop dropping? I Need about 20 more
So how exactly are the purple plans different than the gold plans?
Just wondering. I built my purple zaku and purple GM, don't see any difference.
Thinking of building my gold Zaku I since my purple got combat custom. Which is fine, but I want some grenade launcher shenanigans
- only suit you can use extra upgrade tickets on (purple tickets)
- guaranteed great success (100% - 0% - 0%) when upgrading with a master ticket (gold) or extra ticket beta (purple with gold line)
- you can choose a small additional bonus on one of the main stats upon reaching 30/30 upgrade
>matches where it is 20 minutes of losing AND doing terribly
Absolutely the worst feeling in this game
Okay. I have enough for a gold print on Zeon finally.
...what do I buy? I was thinking of the Blue Destiny, or maybe the Zudah. I have a lot of 260 units i enjoy though, but I also have a lot of high costs.
I just want something
>choose armor since the schmidt zaku has low HP
>expect a reasonable boost
>barely 50 HP
This Zaku either deserves a buff or a cost reduction desu. Low stats in general really keep it from being a good unit. As it stands, no reason to use it over the Norris Zaku unless the instant switch MG nade tickles your fancy.
I bought the Dom Tropen first, I'm almost to 5mil for my Zudah and then a DZA. I need better 260-cost suits, but I realized recently I'm a level away from running a deck of straight 300-cost.
>As it stands, no reason to use it over the Norris Zaku unless the instant switch MG nade tickles your fancy.
And you like ruining peoples days with the D-type melee. It's a great suit, and that is a reasonable boost. Put more tickets on it.
The standard bullets are 4,000 power which is enough to KD some mid to lower tier suits, Type F is 5,500 which can KD 90% of targets in the air. The range is a lot less than a standard sniper but being able to take a hitscan KD weapon like that on heavy with a bunch of other good weapons is always a plus. And then you get a level 3 module.
BD2 is very good, if you can play one without attachments to it. Do not cling to it, but let it die after 1 minute of full power play.
It actually is the fastest unit on Zeon with Exam 2 on. Even faster with the heaviest melee.
Pezun Dowage is a big name for now, but its actual power is questionable due to it being a Dom. In addition, there are powerful "underdog" suits suchas the Gyans, the Act Zakus, and the Galbaldy Alpha brothers that all could work better as gold prints. But all in all, I think BD2 is the most point-to-point powerful unit available.
I change my loadout relatively often, but I always keep balance above +110. Mine is a beam shooter, so I primarily I go with FABR N, melee DII, machinegun N, but the last is there only because I had extra weight, but not enough for missiles or rockets.
I'd first choose the weapons I would use - probably FABR N and Melee DII - and then up the balance to the 110 treshold. After that, I'd upgrade a few times on everything else but homing, in a balanced fashion, and finally invest the rest in speed.
What should I run on my Blue Geara Doga? It has the passive that heals it in control points.
The strum seems like a good weapon, but since I'm also running smoke grenade, I only have the beam SMG which is a good weapon but 'eh'
Tbh T-Type melee > D type. the D melee is kind of a waste of balance imo.
I'm running N type MG, T-Type Melee, and F type Grenade launcher. It's an okay unit, but I just feel like it could use a buff to either load capacity and/or HP.
Do I think it's a bad unit? nah. I fucking love me some zaku's with giant bazookas.
I just think it has some wasted stat potential considering it's great weapon pool. It's a perfectly fine melee unit though. I've been putting in some work with the T-Type melee.
The beam SMG is alright, but I'd highly suggest using the magella cannon mirror. You can then use the beam cannon to take advantage of the weapon switch if you want. No matter what, I would always run the sturmfausts. By the way, you can cancel firing the second pair by switching to another weapon.
>I just think it has some wasted stat potential considering it's great weapon pool. It's a perfectly fine melee unit though. I've been putting in some work with the T-Type melee.
I've got it statted and loaded with modules for melee and loving the D-type hitbox and reach. It goes significantly farther.
Yeah, I also think it's great. It's pretty similar to the Galbaldy Alpha's melee I believe. Really nice reach. The T-type melee is great as well. I think the main difference is that the T-type melee is quite similar to other melee animations, making it a lot more comfortable to use for most.
So I've installed the game and downloaded mudfish and all that fun stuff, but when I log in to the game it just shows a connection bar that flashes white eventually and just goes back to the login screen. Anyone have an idea about whats wrong?
>3 burst rifle, rigorously F
Pick a favourite rifle
Pick a subweapon: melee or grenades. You can use the underslung grenade launcher if you got the standard grunt rifle for instaswitch
these are the FUCK YOU AND DIE melee samson options. Smoke dischargers can also work in breaking pavement dwellers attacks, but you can't just aim at them as they charge
What to put on my Inigo Montoya?
>tfw strolling around in my favourite suit
>tfw zeta soundtrack
I can finally be TERRORISTO DOMOGA
>doesn't know there isn't an official barzam kit.
There's some third party RG mkII conversion kit with parts to make the refined barzam, but that doesn't count because not Bandai.
Been playing this game for a couple months on and off and I still suck shit. Can't beat nachts no matter what I do or whatever suit I use. Can't hit shit with charge beams or bazookas, and I always get killed when I try to go in for a melee dash. What's the easiest suit to use for each faction?
You're a foreigner, so you naturally have the disadvantage in everything due to latency.
Against Nachts, use Fred Pixies. They are more ridiculous. With charge beams, you will have to practice, and learn that you will never have them as responsive as the natives do. Bazookas, just aim for splash damage and forget direct hits. Learn the distance at which they airburst and use it on hiding places. Melee? If not Pixie, then forget about it. Foreigner melee is always too laggy. If a normal player spams his standing melee attack and you melee dash into him, due to latency, his attack will be dealt first even if your reach was longer and even if you attacked from behind. And that results into a stun or knockdown. Japanese players can do the same with bazookas and charge beams and just about evrey other weapon too, so forget dashing at aware targets that aren't armed with machineguns. You'll just have your attack rewinded to failure.
G I T G U D
but seriously how do you fail with bazookas
I suggest you start playing as humble engineer repair boi and zakutank artillery, if you can't into the game so much.
You'd learn a thing or two about the game ...
>Foreigner melee is always too laggy
not really, I can pull ridicolous killstreaks with 1-2 lucky melee kills in-between. Then I'm not really the nacht/pixie-tard type of player and I got to admit melee is very situational, but impossible it is not
I play on mudfish and it really is night and day difference
the key is finding a suit you like, and build it and equip it for one specifical purpose
ie I've got an old Dom cold districts and a Zaku F2 (god bless the zaku F2) for 'corridor' matches, namely Texas.
Loadout? Charge bazooka F, grenade F and sturms , maximum-retard-maximum-grief-maximum-spam
Such a loadout would suck balls in a 1vs1 dashing situation but it's great for corridor poke-shooting
If it pops a more open map I turn them in for a pair of assaults, an artillery maybe
Getting lucky chances is not something you should really build your strategy on.
A foreigner can kill with melee if they set the kill up properly - dodge the opponent's melee, or then bazooka stun and change to melee. But straight melee dashing against an aware opponent is not recommended.
Melee works best when you get to ambush unaware groups. That's how you get kill streaks.
What you described is not exclusive to foreigners though. Nobody with a brain in gold rank is going to go running around with a beam saber or heat hawk trying to melee people. Latency doesn't change that.
Oh, I wasn't the guy you replied to.
I agree that 1-2 melee kills isn't anything special, and is most certainly luck. However, if you do run melee on a suit, the majority of your kills should probably be from the melee. At least the finishing blows should.
As you mentioned, bazooka --> melee is a common combo, and can be very consistent. Same with shotgun for anti-air, or even a CBR. Those are pretty much the only ways you'll get consistent melee kills without using Efreet/Pixie.
But unlike most Doms, it doesn't need to get up close to do its work, and it can hang out around the back line and mess people up that way. Its uncharged CBZ fires kind of like a CBR.
>How hard is it to rank down in this game?
No one really knows, the way the rank up system works. Despite coming in 10th place every match, I've been demoted all because my team jobbed like crazy 7 matches in a row.
