Serious question: why does allelujah become such a piece of shit in the second season?
He was the worst Meister to begin with with his split personality bullshit and they dragged Rie, a character I really liked in the first season, down into retarded relationship shit. They also killed her cool surrogate father which was one of the things that really pissed me off.
He spent 4 years locked up
and possibly abused dailyin the worst prison on Earth. That shit's tough to overcome.
They simply run out of idea for him too soon. He is the only one that finished his personal quests way before the final confrontation and he simply didn't have much to do most of the time.
>He didn't like stripper Al.
He was always the worst meister
>cringeworthy generic angsty emo fanfiction character with heterochromia and murder crazy split personalities and a really cliche tragic backstory
>spends half the show crying about his waifu
Because they had to maintain the fact that CB was the underdog; Alle was, very clearly, the best of the 4 pilots (though, generally all 4 were fairly poor to compensate for their MS in order to give even battles to the world powers) so the plot required that they get rid of Halle (until the finale, of course). And with nothing left to do with Alle, he just became a battery.
There was a ton of very obvious executive meddling behind the scenes at Sunrise/Bandai (the only reason we could possibly have a second Momento Mori is to show off the 00 Raiser's Raiser sword) that really dragged down the middle of S2.
>Arios is one of your favorite 00 S2 Gundams
>Barely seen because its being used as a battery
Was Hallelujah ever that much of a badass to begin with, though? Still got rekt along with all the others at the end of S1. Besides, every pilot has some kind of cheat mode. Tieria has a second Gundam hidden within the first, Setsuna is a transcendent human, and Lockon has a replacement identical twin for when he dies.
Watching this cunt get scissored in half and scream like a bitch before dying was a highlight, though.
Hallelujah is clearly above either Soma or Sergei 1 vs 1 wise. He just lost because its 1 vs 2.
Setsuna didn't even become Innovator until second half of S2.
How the heck identical twin a cheat code? Neil is Ali-level though. He is second best after Hal in S1
Tieria's hidden Gundam stuff is just gimmick.
Really though, Lyle was the straight-up best pilot. No super soldier/innovator powers, no special Gundam tricks. And he still beat Ali and Ribbons' floozy 1v1.
Her/him being flat makes more sense, since the innovades are completely androgynous.
I don't care if it makes sense, I'm just wondering if I'm remembering that correctly.
> no prior life before hrl ginea pig
> be given split personality that just wants to kill
> abandon best friend during escape
> split personality kills friends and hinted at having gone cannabal
> spend rest of life on the run or working for celestial being
> find facility with others just like you
> split personality kills them all
> find out your foe is your long lost love/friend
> 4 years in worst prison as a terrorist
>Serious question: why does allelujah become such a piece of shit in the second season?
Because they removed the only thing that gave value to his character : his inner Gollum.
Also the real question you want to ask is : why does everything not Setsuna/Ribbons become such a piece of shit in the second season?
Shipping crap in charge of character assasination. Die in a fire Sunrise.
they should've had him struggle more with trying to make his own decisions and act like a normal human being after Hallelujah disappeared.
Now that I think about it 00 S1 had all the meisters trying to struggle with their humanity, they really should've kept that as a core theme throughout the show
Obviously the best pilot, who else had sexy times with Sumeragi? You fags are just jealous.
>Hallelujah is clearly above either Soma or Sergei 1 vs 1 wise.
Uh, didn't he lose outright to Soma in a 1v1 at one point though?
The whole point of their Super Soldier relationship is that Allelujah is the tactical fighter and Hallelujah is the aggressive one, so the minute the machine advantage left Hal he got fucking wrecked and they had to work together (at which point they were completely invincible and nothing could stop them except a steel to the head).
Barring two people one head bullshit, best pilot in terms of pure skill was Lockon, and I'm going to have to nudge the second as the better one of the two in that regard.
>have to watch several episodes of his backstory and character development
>only get to see Super Soldier three times, once per each season and the movie
It's worse because Kyrios and Arios were my favorite mobile suits and they got two minutes of cool shit total.
He didn't lose actually
all 3 encounters with soma made him go full mental shutdown due to quantum brainwave stuff. the last battle in the season, Kyrios is nearly blasted in half from the huge energy blast, so it was at a massive disadvantage.
That was Lyle. Neil was winning against Ali in MELEE and loss because of Daryl's interference.
Heck, in Special Condition, Dynames was even in low particle during that fight since it just used Trans-Am previously.
It's not that Allelujah was the "tactical" one or Hallelujah the "aggressive" one. Each fought the way they did because of which share of their super soldier abilities they controlled. Al had the super brain that could process tons of information. In combat he did the same, but without Hal he wasn't pulling in information at the level of a super solider.
Hal is his survival instinct made manifest and controls the quantum brainwaves that allow him to take in tons of information. However, without Al's processing he's left in an "animalistic" state where all he can do is attempt to react to all that information based on instinct (similar to Soma, or say anyone attempting to use the Zero system in Wing). Since Hal was already an instinct made real, it really didn't affect him much like it did Soma who tried to control what she did while Hal just went with the flow of battle.
Only with this crabstick I can control the mechanical beasts army.
That doesn't explain why Lockon still had the worse on-screen accuracy of all Meisters across two seasons despite being two different people. Without fighting Ali both of them would have a shittier ratio than the fodder fags even the ones that die in their debut fight.
It's a fact that either Ali is allergic to Dylandy DNA or the family simply has some racial advantage against terrorists. If you take away both the fights against the sand nigger both brothers are absolute garbage for some strange reason, with S1 Lockon being so bad he can miss the fat suits flying in a straight line towards him while he's stationary.
It's a sad thing considering the story tells you Lockon is #1 but the visuals don't support it at all. Ali is still the best pilot on-screen due to his rocking 40%+ on-screen hit ratio and successful executed melee moves, while none of the meisters even come close.
Fon Spaark would destroy everyone in 00 so who cares. He would asspull his way to beating Gundam Setsuna somehow if he lived long enough to meet him.
