Someone has this pic only in a reasonable resolution?
>there is no essential list
I tend to disagree, from my experience essential lists are a good way to get yourself familiar with the guiding lines of what makes a certain genre of media/art critically acclaimed or good.
I'm pretty sure you can count the number of critically acclaimed mecha on one hand, though that would be implying that something being critically acclaimed means anything of value in the first place. Any any rate, you're barking up the wrong tree if you're going into mecha for something objectively good
I see the difference between us is one of a philosophical observation, If you can't see the objectively good in NGE and Gunbuster there's no helping you, just leave before we waste more precious thread space instead of giving efficient reccomendations.
>If you can't see the objectively good in NGE and Gunbuster there's no helping you
love you anon, you are the one righteous person in all of 4ch- sodom.
Heres one with acfually good shows, but the resolution is still shit
Also, as far as reading material goes:
Hell, pretty much anything by Ishinomori or Yokoyama is top shelf stuff that you ought to seriously consider trying. Nagai and Ishikawa also make very good stuff, but some of their works, mainly Nagais, require you to be in a certain mood.
Webdiver would be decent if not for those CG animation for mech.
