Well that was one hell of a ride.
I'm surprised Demonbane doesn't get talked about more often, it's damn good stuff. So how about a
Doctor West appreciationthread?
There were tons of threads and plenty of discussion back when it first got released in English. Some cool people even translated the prequel novels as well. It's just at this point anyone who cares has already read and there's really not much to discuss unless Kishin Hishou gets released in English as well. Though it does still pop up in powerlevel threads of course.
Still hope it shows up in another SRW at some point.
Pretty much the entire game.
All of the original H-VN minus H-scenes and some of the dialogue right up to the H-scenes, since those were removed from the PS2 version.
The H-VN itself has voiced H-scenes but unvoiced everything else, so the PS2 voice patch just adds the voices to everything else along with the voiced H-scenes. The patch IS missing voicing in the dialogue right before sex though, due to it not being voiced in the original hentai version and not being in the PS2 version.
The only site with the patch has it split into 4 slow old-fashioned download parts (non-MEGA filehosting). The original single file had been deleted off the filehosting site, with no update.
/a/ was throwing a fit today about Demonbane accidentally ending its eternal fight with Azathoth and killing all possible and impossible realities in some material that got released recently.
Did this happen or was it just false rumors?
I would imagine this,
>It turns out that Demonbane was supposed to keep fighting the outer gods for all eternity and thus keep the universe running, but it grew too powerful and became the "Vortex Destroyer", AKA Demonbane the Vortex Blaster, and used its "Ouroboros Blaster" to kill Azathoth which also destroyed the multiverse and all of causality, and all universes past present and future are now withering and dying.
Demonbane is one moment away from completely destroying everything, but Mugen = Yog Sothoth is making that moment stretch out for an eternity, and is putting together shards of destroyed worlds to make one last world where Azathoth can be reborn.
It's all that shredding on the guitar.
Actually, the original version had voice outside the H scenes too, but only for portions of the VN, plus some characters simply weren't voiced at all even in otherwise voiced scenes.
Basically most of the characters weren't voiced in the original LN. Namely all of the Anticross, Sandalphon, the maids of Hadou Zaibatsu, Ness and Stone, Cthugha and Ithaqua, and Nya.
Now go read Kishin Hishou. ATLAS automatic translation only craps itself on atmosperic descriptions and Doctor West's monologues. The rest is mostly understandable. If you're using VNR I made some subs for the true ending and the Deus Machina summoning spells.
Also 100% of the dialogue is voiced, so it's even easier to understand.
He also destroyed Sonicoverse, which means Pochaco stopped existing. Maybe now /a/ will stop sperging about her in buyfg threads.
Entirely appropriate, considering the stuff Therion did with Etheldreda and Nya in there.
It had some good ideas, but the pacing was retarded as fuck, especially in the ending. It was like five whole chapters of nothing but one fight after another. And the hentai was godawful. And Leica's route really fucked up by destroying Demonbane, made the entire plot after that feel like a non sequitur to the point that I dropped it. Didn't care for any of the uninspired good endings either.
Great characters though. Doctor West and Winfield were total bros and all the villains felt unique despite there being so many of them. The Deus Machina designs are all pretty neat too, if a bit overdetailed. They kind of remind me of all the Zone of the Enders mechs, just on a larger scale and with bulkier proportions
>mfw that clown fucker gets to be raped by elder gods for all eternity
>And the hentai was godawful
It made me laugh a few times. Might have been intentional, who knows.
I got you, brother.
My only problems with the pacing was just that it started too slow. It was a humorous and campy but slightly dull Page of the Week until a bit after the Dagon and Hyrda fight.
I loved how shit hit the fan after that. Even though the conflict with the Anticross only concerned (initially) Arkham, it was presented well enough for it to feel like a World War, with all the high-octane action that comes with it. Also, that final fight with Liber Legis was some grade A+ stuff.
>It was a humorous and campy but slightly dull Page of the Week until a bit after the Dagon and Hyrda fight.
Doesn't help that the Atlach-Nacha and Cthugha/Ithaqua chapters were just long porn sequences. As funny as Kurou going YOU DON'T RAPE ME, I RAPE YOU in the latter was, it hurts it quite a bit.
I really want a translation of the PS2 scenes. I mean, this version of the Cthugha/ Ithiqua encounter looks great. I know it was on Youtube, but I can't find it now.
Yoji Shinkawa has nothing to do with Demonbane
Also, those little asides next to the designs? They're called the "Designer's Voice."
Can you guess who is being cited as the designer? Here's a hint: it's the one in the parenthesis.
I've always used "layered" as the word for his stuff.
I always thought he designed certain aspects of the Deus Machina to look like the pages of books because, you know, grimoires and all that.
Turns out that it's just his thing.
Well back in the day VNs wouldn't sell well unless they added some porn scenes in it no matter how pointless they were. A damn shame that Demonbane's popularity was eclipsed by Fate/Stay Night a year after its release and didn't last as long.
And they pretty much still require porn. VNs are the most shameless modern otaku baiting bullshit there is. It's no wonder that there are so few mecha VNs, this one being the only one I've read that's any good. I still need to read Gahkthun of the Golden Lightning but Muv Luv made me want to burn down the studio that was responsible for that trash.
Gahkthun is pretty good. Not Sakurai's greatest work mind you, but still pretty good. The thing with Gahkthun was that Sakurai was aiming to streamline her writing for a wider audience, so it was ultimately somewhat of an experimental VN for her.
She's also Jin Haganeya.
Leica's route was so boring that I speed read it near the end. God, that sucked.
I did genuinely enjoy Al's route all the way through. It got tedious after I realized there were two more routes to go.
>Entirely appropriate, considering the stuff Therion did with Etheldreda and Nya in there.
I don't know how Etheldreda was able to take that. It doesn't seem physical possible even for a book.
If it makes you feel better, Demonbane did well enough at release that it pretty much saved Nitro+ from going out of business. They were in the toilet at the time and Demonbane's release was a big part of helping them get back on their feet.
>Well back in the day VNs wouldn't sell well unless they added some porn scenes in it no matter how pointless they were.
Not true, the original Clannad was all ages and it sold fine. It was the sequel that gave the porn because they knew it's what everyone wanted.
Keep in mind though that what is selling well by VN/eroge standards is nowhere near what is good standards by the rest of the industry. Fate/Stay Night sold I think 23k copies and was considered to have done well. Sengoku Rance (which admittedly has 25 years of legacy behind the name) sold 66k copies and was the highest-selling game with porn for years.
>Sengoku Rance (which admittedly has 25 years of legacy behind the name)
I think it actually holds the record for longest-running series to both have an ongoing continuity and always focus on the same characters. Rance's been raping his way for decades now.
And those aren't really VNs, now are they? Most are dungeon crawlers, Sengoku was strategy.
Also, I think the When They Cry series VNs tend to do pretty well with no porn
or good art.
>When they cry
That always confused me. Why bother reading a fucking VN when you could just watch the anime/read the manga? Did they botch something in the transition like what happened with Demonbane? I don't see why as that series has no choices, which takes away most of the point of it being a VN in the first place, but also makes it really easy to put the story in another format.
Either way, VNs are a terrible format in most cases.
>Take script of TV show
>Add narration here and there
>Have artist draw a few character stills and maybe one or two pretty scenes. Mostly, though, you need at least six porn CGs.
>Paste over generic backgrounds you found on wikimedia commons
>Find some public domain music and play it in the background
>Get your secretary to scream as if she's being raped in a recording booth, even if the story and sex scenes are entirely vanilla
>Or don't, no one cares about the voices in books, amirite?
>Distribute, and contribute to the further decline of the Japanese birthrate
>If it somehow becomes successful, make sure to get a deal with MangaGamer to localize it in the West, and market it to lonely weeaboos on J-list with the creepiest banner ads you can think of, blissfully unaware that most people will pirate it anyway.
>Did they botch something in the transition like what happened with Demonbane?
Duh. Not only most if not all VN-to-anime do (the former are generally too damn long for anime format, they either have to cut a lot or just go through it at breakneck speed), but Higurashi and Umineko were pretty much DEEN's already lame production values at their worst.
That would make some things very interesting
This was already confirmed by Nitro Blasters where all the characters are said to have been taken from worlds destroyed by Vortex Blaster.
Which means that the Type Moon, Arcana Heart and Titran Kagutits worlds were destroyed by Demonbane too.
Teertiary people won't care much about Demonbane. The old discussion of powerlevel thread were filled with tertiary who didn't like how Demonbane beat their favourite characters and resort to wank OPM and Featherine.
Demonbane is a shit game because Demonbane is overpowered and stomps all the enemies easily and kills nyarlathotep a jillion gajillion times by glaring at him, OPM on the other hand is original and funny and infinitely better so OPM wins.
I’d say Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann and above can beat Demonbane. It casually moving into the planet while turned off was enough for it to destroy the earth. Much less once it’s Spiral powered, with the ability to manipulate probability and stuff. Also Goku could take it if he’s smart and stays away while spamming planet busters. Hacks aside, Demonbane doesn’t have much in terms of physical stats.
Even if you're talking about Demonbane at the start of the story, before Al started recovering her pages, it was already pretty high power. It could pull some crazy bullshit just with its built-in features. The space-time shenanigans and Lemuria Impact alone are at least on par with moderately high-tier supers like Shin Getter, possibly higher.
A kill punch finisher move is low on the power totem pole, no matter how many laws of thermodynamics it violates in the process.
It's just another heroic superman giant robot at the beginning, no more no less.
Demonbane, without elder godhood or Al's various powerups, is actually kinda crap, for a simple reason. Mobility problems. It can go fast in a straight line, and jump good. But it can't fly, and has no ranged weapons whatsoever (okay, it has head vulcans but when have those ever been effective in all of mecha history). That's not good. Nailing a giant larva thing like Dagon with a dropkick is a thing, but Shin Getter? That's never going to work out.
Not really. It's true that it can't fly, but it's hardly limited to a straight line. The shinguards take care of most of its mobility issues, so as long as its target is within jumping distance, it performs just fine.
I think Yosuga no Sora worked out pretty well as an anime. It was condensed well and when each girl's story was done, it had a way of transitioning into the next girl's story via story manipulation (except from Nao to Sora)
>And those aren't really VNs, now are they?
Oh that confusion is just from how the English-speaking community is fucking retarded and VN is a bullshit term made up and pushed by fucktard fan translators who wanted to stroke their egos.
>That always confused me. Why bother reading a fucking VN when you could just watch the anime/read the manga?
Why would you EVER read a shitty book if you can just watch a movie? Lord of the Rings? Watch the movie. Dune? Watch the movie. I Am Legend? Watch the movie.
Also, the no Naku Koro ni anime were all made during DEEN's notorious "dark period," where basically every single anime they put out was so exceptionally awful that they go around again and become good, in an awful kind of way. Imagine if every year, there was another The Room that was worse than the one before it.
The difference being that actual books tend to have much more narration (especially in third person) and that VNs tend to be bottom of the barrel entertainment to start with. If you think someone like Kira is an insufferable protagonist, imagine being stuck in his head and dealing with his thoughts for an entire novel. VNs are, with few exceptions (such as Demonbane), an entire medium of nothing but that.
>If you think someone like Kira is an insufferable protagonist, imagine being stuck in his head and dealing with his thoughts for an entire novel.
Wrong you monster faggot, that's how you salvage Kira as a character. In the entire existence of anime as a medium, there has never been a single anime that didn't Jesus Yamato the shit out of a VN's characters. Pic related is a fantastic example of how you go from psychopath to gary stu moralfag without skipping a beat, and it's happened at least fucking twice in the same series.
>Pic related is a fantastic example of how you go from psychopath to gary stu moralfag without skipping a beat
It's also a terrible example of your average VN protagonist. Most of them are designed to be as utterly blank and self-insert as possible, which makes them much more gary stu than Shirou could ever be given the kind of shit that usually happens to them. It also makes the few times that these characters are actually given some measure of characterization frustrating because it always makes these characters even worse. They're almost always either whiny, spineless cucks or complete assholes. This extends to female protagonists as well. Almost every otome game ever released has the former.
>A kill punch finisher move is low on the power totem pole
Lemuria Impact is utilizes the heat and pressure from infinite universes to do what it does.
That alone is wrecking most shit on the upper end of that totem pole. The only problem is that early and mid Demonbane doesn't have the performance capabilities to stay within the same league as its Shining Finger.
Yet you still referred to Higurashi as VNs. While >>13745142 is partially correct in that what we in the West call a VN is not what they are called in Japan. And, no, eroge is not the catchall term, either.
> Almost every otome game ever released has the former.
I'm not surprised, seeing that a popular service in Japan involves hiring a beautiful man to wipe the tears from your eyes.
The fluff doesn't make a finishing punch any stronger.
Finishing punch is finishing punch, it gets trumped universally by gadget based finishers. This is the strict rule of mecha matchup.
You're right anon, your rules and heavy reliance on cliches surpasses logical conclusions based upon the mechanics involved.
Also, Naruto could beat Getter Saint Dragon because Getter Saint Dragon is an antagonist and Naruto is an MC, and would thus win based upon the predisposed rule within the Hypothetical Combatant Rule Book, Subsection 23.
>Also, Naruto could beat Getter Saint Dragon because Getter Saint Dragon is an antagonist and Naruto is an MC, and would thus win based upon the predisposed rule within the Hypothetical Combatant Rule Book, Subsection 23.
He only wins if he rolls higher than a fifteen.
Jast would have to not be a shit.
And their next Nitro+ title to release is either Django or Vjedogonia. Can't recall, but that doesn't matter because both are pretty shit.
Then there's still Muramasa, which they'll probably do first seeing as the common route was already translated by their staff.
Anon was probably referring to the Naku Koro Ni series as a whole, in which case, he's right, which Higurashi is a part of.
Shouldn't we all be fucked then?
>Anon was probably referring to the Naku Koro Ni series as a whole, in which case, he's right, which Higurashi is a part of.
Which I've never mentioned once. My only posts are
>releasing things ever
It took them over 5 years just to release Demonbane and some of the other stuff they have has been in editing hell longer than that.
Jast USA getting their hands on something is not a desired outcome at all.
This is true, but on the other hand, it's still better than the game in question receiving no attention whatsoever.
Believe me, I've been waiting for them to finish this game https://vndb.org/v1491 for years on end. I know what it's like.
This is exactly the shit I was talking about. There have been like zero updates since they mentioned they were translating it and it's been at least 2 years now.
The devlog says the translation's at 83% as of Dec 3. Honestly, that's probably about the pace of a fantl group, but on the other hand, since this is an official localization, I can at least be relatively sure that they don't have a person that doesn't know Japanese or English translating the damn thing. Still far less progress than they should have made, but again, better than nothing.
There isn't, I don't think. I recall some Japanese fans mentioning Sakurai references in DYN Freaks, but I can't identify them.
I wouldn't be surprised, though. The writers are BFFs.
There is homage to Steam punk series written by Hikaru sakurai in D.Y.N Freaks.
And it is implied some of characters who appeared in d.y.n are appeasently characters who appeared in Steam punk series spin off written by Haganeya.
But, it is so called star system. There is no official line between Demonbane and Steam punk.
Few do, and they do so because Elder God Demonbane is enough to trump almost any fictional character if the prequel novels are to be believed. It's a nice way to attempt to put an end to powerlevel autism
I didn't say that it did. I just said that it's a useful thing to try. I've seen at least one or two powerlevel threads killed before they begin because someone mentions Demonbane
Demonbane only fuels powerlevel threads because it's theoretically beatable. It's the same shit as Goku or Shiki. It's not like Saitama, King Crimson or Powerman where you can say "lol it just works"
>Saitama is still vulnerable to anything that isn't blunt force, a bullet or psychic,
You can break his heart, but you can't kill him.
>and he can still probably be telefragged.
He's just as invulnerable from a distance as he is from up close
Not really. I've seen a chart someone made somewhere about how Demonbane literally cannot be beaten that went something like this
>Is the character Elder God Demonbane fighting evil?
>If so, it will win, because Elder God Demonbane is the personification of the concept that good will triumph over evil and thus cannot lose to anything evil.
>Is your character good, neutral, or some indeterminate alignment?
>Elder God Demonbane still wins because lol, Athleta Aeternum. It will find a Demonbane from an alternate universe specifically made to counter your character and sic it on you and thus you cannot win no matter what you do.
Shin Getter can merge with literally everything and has absorbed at least one nuclear warhead like it was no big deal. It could also commandeer matter and make itself larger, devouring planets and eventually the whole universe.
Demonbane would not even have to go Elder God to beat Shin Getter. It could just seal it in an alternate dimension with the Shining Trapezohedron. Hell, if Shin Getter isn't in it's awakened, world eating mode, Demonbane could probably take it out with the Lemuria Impact so long as it's able to dodge Stoner Sunshine. Which it should be able to given the Mirror of Nitocris screwing with Shin Getter's perception.
I think it may be as strong as people think. I'd need to read those prequel novels to be sure though, and I refuse to do so until they're translated by someone who doesn't have both English and Japanese as second languages.
That would literally do nothing to stop them.
Most powerlevel bullshit - in most fiction not just Demonbane - comes from the ridiculous reaching and assumptions on what is already known, like that whole Aleph bullshit people pulled not too long ago.
It's mostly founded in fact, but interpreted in such an obtuse and convoluted way that convincing idiots otherwise is nigh impossible.
This is all very true. It's like whenever I see Emperor really high on power level lists and wonder to what extent the person had to argue to get it that high. I say this as a fan of Getter, I just find it odd.
>Shin Getter's too fast
>Can't even dodge it's own Stoner Sunshine
Also Demonbane is not necessarily 2FAST2FURIOUS but it has tricks to counter fast moving enemies like Atlach=Nacha, Mirror of Nitocris or it can even use the goddamn De Marigny's Clock.
Daiteikoku, but they're not really the main villains of it - they're just one of the two path branches that the "America plotline" can take - the other is Not!Roosevelt going bonkers and commandeering a Death Star.
Though they have their own alternative gameplay mode which is basically where they put in all the dark fetish stuff.
>loli in booty shorts and some pube-shaving edgelord in a longcoat
I'm going to need a little more to be convinced into watching this. Especially since that dude showing borderline dick cleavage.
While both Al and Ruri's route involve explaining events of the main story, Leica's route differs a lot from them and one could say it ditches the main plot in favor of explaining the project that spawned Sandalphon and Metatron. Another silly plus is that they ride a wicked motorcycle in that route.
Despite that, I found it decent.
Leica's route explains the Moonchild Project and certain specifics about the Timeloop.
See, the Moonchild Project had two goals: create a new assortment of weapons to surpass Dr. West's Destroyer Robots and to develop the C Priestess, who would act as Master Therion's mother upon his rebirth.
The prerequisits for being the C Priestess are: being female (to give birth) and having a strong emotional connection to the God.
Leica met these requirements and was even planned to be the C Priestess; however, she deserted the Black Lodge before she could be used. Due to that, the next Moonchild was the Tyrant - designed specifically to not become a hero like Metatron did.
Only the 10th and final Moonchild, which was the end result both Vespasianus and the Black Lodge sought.
For the Black Lodge, they searched after the C Priestess to control Big C upon his summoning. Vespasianus however only joined the Black Lodge and headed the project so that he could utilize the project to summon the "ultimate being" spoken of within the Book of Eibon.
Which turned out to be an embryonic Master Therion, or yet another catalyst for Master Therion's revival. Etheldreda refers to the 10th Moonchild as the Y Priestess, so it could very well just be a vessel for Master Therion.
It is implied in Laica route that the fetus Vespasianus tried to impregnate with Laica is in fact Masther Therion.
The fetus = Master therion in a sense seems to be last number of moon child created after Ennea aka Nero.
>It is implied in Laica route that the fetus Vespasianus tried to impregnate with Laica is in fact Masther Therion.
I never denied that.
I however did point out that Etheldreda refers to it as the Y Priestess, implying that there is the possibility that this isn't Master Therion but rather a means to his rebirth.
The Demonbane there is no different to the other Demonbane to the franchise; with the exception of the one and only THE Demonbane (as in the ElderGod Demonbane).
THE Demonbane is the literally Love and Justice; Concept made flesh. Nothing can defeat it because nothing can defeat those concept. It exist to gave power to those who needs it and it sees favorable to it's concept, especially when those were against the ones who defy those concept.
It's ally to love, nightmare to hate.
Demonbane fucked up and Accidentally killed the Dreamer of Existence. Yog Sothoth have to use the fragments of destroyed universe to created a patchwork of existence so that the Almighty Idiot can be brought back and reverse the damage Demonbane caused.
Isn't Demonbane tied to all of existence?
Hell, what goes on in Nitro+ Blasters happened in the past, way before the current Demonbane shenanigans. So we can all agreed that Demonbane killed Azathoth, Yog Sothoth brought it back, and Demonbane, who learned from that fuck up, Sealed the Almighty Idiot into its blade.
A lot of people get that ending sequence confused.
The segment of Demonbane arriving on a war torn Earth and fighting the Great Old Ones to its last breath was not the same scene as the Elder Gods arriving in Nyarlathotep's new universe.
The segment you are referring to was Nero's Rhapsody.
>Hell, what goes on in Nitro+ Blasters happened in the past
The framework for this was from the scrapped, direct sequel to Demonbane.
Ignoring the fact that Kishin Houko and Kishin Hishou had already transpired in Blasters.
>Hell, what goes on in Nitro+ Blasters happened in the past, way before the current Demonbane shenanigans
Why are you making this retarded shit up? Another Blood appears in it and openly refers to the events of Kishin Hishou.
The timeline, to clarify:
Prequel novels by Haganeya (Except Gunshin Kyoushu which is a parallel world erased by Nyarlathotep)
Zanma Taisei/Kishin Houkou
Some of the events of the Project D2 proposal (see the pastebin; Vortex Blaster kills Azathoth and destroys all of creation)
Nitroplus Blasterz (Yog-Sothoth/Mugen gathers shards of worlds to make a fake world in which she can gather the materials she needs to make a world-egg to rebirth Azathoth_
Some events of DYN Memo (the world-egg is an infinitely looping world like Zanma Taisei's, events of previous failed attempts are mentioned)
DYN Freaks (first succesful attempt; the story of Azana Hatsumi/Azathoth's rebirth and reawakening, ends with a cliffhanger, of Vortex Blaster finally breaking into the world-egg)
But it wasn't. It was a hypothetical fairy tale detailing how good triumphed over impossible odds by sheer force of will. It was designed to parallel the conflicts Demonbane and the cast went through from the beginning to the end of the story.
>I think all of stories by Nitro plus happened in same multiverse aka Demonbane multiverse.
>Nitro plus multiverse is Demonbane multiverse.
>What do you think?
One could say that ALL multiverses are Demonbane universe and that Nitro+ Blaster is just another Demonbane story.
Also, is Nitro+ Blasterz is canon to Demonbane?
I know that Demonbane's omniversial lore is convenient enough to bring hold a VN x battle, but why have Demonbane nearly kill off all of existance?
So let me get this straight:
DYN Freaks is about the creation of a new existence, after the destruction of the original.
All of the existence that took place before is no more.
ALL FRANCHISE UNIVERSES, DEMONBANE OR NOT, IS PART OF DEMONBANE'S ONIVERSE, ESPECIALLY SINCE ALL OF EXISTENCE WAS PART OF OLD/NEW AZATHOTH'S.
I should remind you that this little info sparked this huge debate:
TLDR: the moment you mention demonbane, all the omniversal powerlevel fags come out of the woodworks and derail this thread to who's/what's the most dangerous threat to existence.
Ennea talked about how fairy tale began and how it will end.
The true ending of Al route showed how myth as EGD began. It is only beginning of myth. not ending of myth. Kurou and Al will fight through infinite eon from that scene.
And,it is implied in Kishin Hishou that Kuzaku was born after Al route true ending.
Yeah, it is almost confirmed in actual story in Kishin Hishou.
So, at least, in Al route true ending, Al and Kurou are on the way of infinite struggle against evil gods.
It confirms that EGD at that time is only ant in compared to evil gods.
And, there is no setting or statement that EGD become stronger than every evil gods.
It is Voltex Destroyer who become more powerful than all evil gods.
There is no fact that EGD is above Voltex Destroyer.
If EGD is stronger than Voltex Destroyer, EGD could stop Voltex Destroyer destroying everything in entire Demonbane verse
How about Demonbane CLOCKWORK Blood?
It is only original figure.
It didn't appear in Kishin Hishou.
But, it is confirmed in Kishin Hishou that Demonbane two sword is in fact avatar of Nyalrathotep.
Demonbane two sword is piloted by Kuzaku Daijuji who is son of Kurou and Al.
Nyalrathotep replaced original Demonbane with Demonbane two sword which is avatar of Nyalrathotep when kuzaku and Dunsany were sent to Arkham city by his parent.
If Mugen is Yog-Sothoth does that mean she raped Nero and is Master Therion's father?
It doesn't matter. There are infinite universes and thus infinite Demonbanes.
>Somewhere out there, Tekkaman Demonbane is killing all the Radam before they ever reach Earth
>Demonbane Evangelion seals all the Angels in another dimension
>Buster machine Demonbane goes back in time and prevents the space monsters from ever finding Earth
>Everything is gonna happy, God's in his heaven, all's right with the world.
I imagine it's like having a cancer cell that you couldn't directly stop anymore until it's too late. It's doing all the things a Demonbane should do(smiting evil gods in righteous anger, with extra emphasis on -anger-) but then everything went wrong in the process and it went several steps too far.
I don't want to read that new image guide because I don't want to be spoilered. What happened with EGD when Demonbane VB destroyed Azathoth?
I know that EGD itself has become a seperate entities unaffected with Azathoth's dream but shouldn't he stopped Demonbane VB to stop Demonbaneverse from imploding?
The elder gods have been missing in general since the end of Zanma Taisei, the entire point of Kuzaku's character in Kishin Hishou is that he's mad that his parents abandoned him (but they stopped by for a bit at the end of that so they're still around, just apparently refusing to intervene unless absolutely necessary).
Yeah, apparently Vortex Blaster doesn't count as necessary to them.
Okay, I figured out this whole Lovecraftian nonsense thanks to a simple Wiki article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cthulhu_Mythos_deities#Elder_Gods
>In post-Lovecraft stories, the Elder Gods oppose the Outer Gods and the Great Old Ones. Derleth attempted to retroactively group the benevolent deity Nodens in this category (who acts as deus ex machina for the protagonists in both The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath and "The Strange High House in the Mist").
In short EG > OG, therefore EGD > BIGA.
As for why didn’t EGD didn’t do shit about the death of BIGA; probably like most Elder Gods, it viewed it as an annoying prick.
ANYONE HAVE THE SOUNDTRACKS? ITS SO FRUSTRATINGLY HARD TO FIND THE THINGS AFTER I LOST MY HD
There is also the face with clear visors/masks on all his mechanical designs, I have no clue how anyone would mix his designs
pic related to that I guess
>Nodens is one of the Elder Gods
>He prefers to hunt the servants of the Great Old Ones or Nyarlathotep because they are usually the most intelligent and offer the best sport, but not necessarily because he wants to help humans being attacked by them.
They are the same class and we do not know if a fight between elder gods will ever happen.
