I found some obscure mecha games in this video
https://youtu.be/FAKOkEojaTY
That Super Robot Shooting and Xabungle game looks awful, but the Escaflowne one looks decent. I wish can read the description to find out.
But skip to 17:35. It's not a mecha game, but holy shit, that voice; is that a CHAR!? Can't believe Shuichi Ikeda would lend his voice to such kusoge.

Nah, it's apparently pretty damn awful. It stuffs the entire series into a four/five hour RPG, if I remember correctly? I've heard nothing but negative things about it.

That's unfortunate. Escaflowne settings is perfect for JRPG.

This two were among the most obscure I've played.

Real Robot Final Attack is pretty much a Virtual On clone with a bunch of Sunrise real robots+the SRX team.

And G-Century is a turn based hexagonal strategy game. You have capital to spend, capture base, build more MS on that base and fight your opponent. It's kinda like a turn based version of Z (if you guys know that game)

I played Shooting, it's... I'm not going to lie and say it's that good, but it's passable, I guess. It's annoying in that you change who you're playing as and some mechs are really fucking terrible compared to the others though.

As for the Xabungle one, is it the racer? I've heard good things about it if it was.

The one in the video is a side-scroller and part of low budget Simple series. Not sure if that's the one you mention.

You might be thinking of the Rayearth SNES game. While that game only covers the first half, it still manages to feel rushed and the gameplay is about as barebones as you can get. Not to mention that you can't even pilot the damn Rune Gods; they're just summon spells.

On the other hand, I've heard great things about the Saturn game. Too bad that Saturn emulators are all fucking terrible and crash-prone, at least to my knowledge.

I found other video of 'Not Treasure Hunter' with commentary. This game really blew the budget with voice acting.

Somehow I believe if we dig deeper we can find games that equal or even worse than Big Rigs in the east.

It's kind of average, but it has really good music

>I've heard great things about the Saturn game

it's okay

you Zelda your way through dungeons and wander jrpg-ish through the overworld

the story's a remix of the original

then at the end it suddenly becomes an overhead shooter for the five minutes you finally get to use the Mashins

Also the English version is full of Working Designs "humor"

>Real Robot Final Attack is pretty much a Virtual On clone

You forgot to mention its utter dogshit graphics that give eye cancer

As for G-century, it's pretty decent for SD games but the loading is atrocious. Playing it on emu is way better because you can frame skip enemy's turn. Also, do you know how to create unlisted units like Jegan, GMII or V' gundam?
>>
yeh, played Super Robot Shooting, I have no idea what the story was except there was this space sphinx battleship original thing.

Real Robot Final attack was... I never knew how to play it well, nor to unlock R1,2,3 but I remember the last boss was Zehirut connected and is piloted by a woman..

There were also Super Robot Spirits and Real Robot Regiment, but I guess those arent that obscure anymore thanks to SRWOG
>>
Anyone remember this?

The gameplay is really shitty. OG mechas looks decent though
