What does /m/ think about Iron Man?
>>12120902
There are periodic threads on his various suits. He's pretty much the most prolific western /m/ character. As a fan of the comics since latr 80's I loved the first two films and Avngers, but the only parts of 3 I really liked were Rhodey. I'm REALLY hoping they give Don Cheadle Iron Man 4 since RDJ/Tony wants to quit anyway.
Not in the Iron Patriot armor, though, but as full-on Iron Man like he was in the comics.
>>12120902
The character is amazing in general. I've only seen the first of the film trilogy but I thought it was a great movie. Unfortunately I haven't heard much that's good about the other two.
>>12120902
Superior Iron Man has been fantastic. Really diggin' the "Tony's back to being a douche" angle.
I like how they make up different ways to get the suit on him.
So when will they make a belt?
>>12121232
2 is really good. People just complained that SHIELD took up too much screentime, but the inter-film connections paid off in Avengers.
>>12121209
why would RDJ want to quit? he's more popular than ever. He's gotta' be swimming in the fucking bills.
I loved this cartoon. This opening is so hype

>>12121241
Taylor has a real talent for that sort of story, doesn't he?
>>12121296
Yup. I'm enjoying the heck out of it. Can't wait to see what's next.
Between that, Nova, Ant-Man, Rocket Raccoon, and Dardevil, my faith in Marvel is slowly being restored. Now if only they could get Slott off of Spidey...
>>12120902
Seems alright.
I don't care much about movies or marvel stuff. The movies are okay I guess. I remember thinking the second and third weren't very good, but then I doubt that the first was really very good either, it's just been 6 years since I've seen it.
>>12121232
2 is really solid, it's just that it doesn't fully shine without Captain America and Avengers.
3 is a lot lighter on the Iron Man than most people wanted, but as a story it's not half bad. RDJ's portrayal of Tony's PTSD is actually really excellent. The main thing that annoyed me about it was that every individual part of the suit seems to be working fine, there's a few action scenes where he only has parts of the suit on and they're actually pretty good, but then when he has the whole thing on suddenly it's a piece of shit. As long as you know going in that you're getting a movie that's a lot more of a Tony Stark movie than an Iron Man movie, it's certainly still worth the watch.
>>12121256
>why would RDJ want to quit?
to prevent type casting. the marvel bubble will burst and he's gonna find work that's not Tony Stark. Look what happened to Adam West
>>12121327
>the Marvel bubble will burst
mfw GOTG outgrossed Man of Steel
>>12121359
I'm waiting for them to do another Howard The Duck movie just to challenge people to try to not see a Marvel movie.
>>12121307
Electra was cool at least
>>12121382
>>yfw it makes more money than the dark knight
>>12121324
Three rubbed me completely the wrong way with how how useless the suits were.
Mark 3 solved (or ended) a conflict in the middle-east. Mark 42 was brought down by three helicopters.
And holy shit, War Machine. The only time War Machine showed any kind of competence was when the lackey hijacked Air Force 1 with it.
>>12120902
The only work in film that has power armor as a focus.
Hopefully this will hold.
>>12121327
>prevent type casting
He doesn't have a different character though.
>>12121256
For the same reason Hugh Jackman denied further Wolverine movies.
It might have already been too late for him, though.
>>12121765
No?
Obligatory.
>>12121757
Centurion is love.
>>12121757
Does anyone mind if I post this in the Ryusei Booru? It looks worth preservation.

Sex Heartbreaker and IX
Tenderly love Gemini and Shotgun
Marry Centurion
>>12127419
Heartbreaker really looks like a hard lover
Gemini looks more cute but just a time thing
While centurion does look like a stable partner

>>12121241
He's way more "douchey" than he was back then. While not completely evil, he lacks a conscience.
Am I the only one that thinks the op webm is a ripped off scene of bubble gum crisis when priss jumps from a roof to sync with her Motorslave?

So MarvelDisneyhas a few hundred years to go and will have a long-term lease on part of China through that?
I can believe it.
>>12127651
That Hulk is a kaiju and not fully humanoid.
Tony's weird? Well, it's Toni (Iron Maiden), actually.
>>12127401
cept' Wolverine is what... 1.6m tops while Hugh Jackman is 2mt tall?
Jackman is DOUBLE wolverine which is not bad on its own right.

Are the pants just making it look unfortunate or did he skip leg day too often?

MCU Wolverine, while based primarily on 616 Wolverine, is also inspired slightly by Ultimate Wolverine.
>>12127756
>>12127767
Apparently, he was told by his doctor not to put too much stress on his legs due to bad knees.
getttin a little more /m/.... and a little /m/ore
>>12127775
Wolverine isn't in the MCU.
I have a soft spot for IM3 only because I liked Kiss Kiss Bang Bang so much. I completely understand why a lot of people didn't like it and have a long laundry list of criticisms and complaints about the movie, though.Except those still bitching about the Mandarin lol cry moar u fags
>>12128054I still don't believe they referenced 2hu of all things.
Silver and Centurion will forever be my favorite suit.
That said, I wish western /m/ wasn't so overlooked here.
>>12128054
I'm actually complaining about the Extremis part.

Possibly.
>>12128158
...maybe you could explain it more?
>>12121327
He's Sherlock Holmes and is still acting in various other films. Have you seen "The Judge?" He was great in it. This isn't taking into account his roles like Tropic Thunder and whatnot.
RDJ is at a point at an actor where he doesn't have to worry about a goddamn thing. He's in demand and proved he's talented enough to do other roles with virtually no difficulty.
He loves the Tony Stark role, he just wants participate in other marvel movies in smaller supporting roles than having to do another Iron Man film, and even on that note, he's kind of hinted that he might consider it "if the script is good and it feels right."

This has a same feel from Help Me Touma.
