Pardon the source but, huh...this could be interesting.
>Only up to end of first arc though.
we wouldn't see the full cloth in action but I would be ok withj this
I like École du Ciel but Mikimoto's put that on the side for years.
It's amazing how Hasegawa can make his sequels to crossbone feel like shitty fanfiction, like the rest of everything he's worked on
To his own series
Hasegawa is a fucking pile of shit
And crossbone itself is just kind of eh
The Jovian mechs are too cuhrazy to sell to anyone, at all, ranging from ok but weird to redefining the concept of terrible. Crossbones look good, but the art is still terrible in every way
>"look at this, fans are saying they want crossbone animated!"
>"let's make a Unicorn sequel! This time with Okawara designs!"
>"yes, this seems what fans really want"
Why the fuck do fans want this shit animated anyway
It's like no one actually read it (oh wait...)
The only thing good is the Gundam designs, and they're getting toys so its all good.
Why not get something halfway interesting, like Hathaway's flash, which is probably terrible knowing the bald fuck but at least I'd get to see Hathaway die
>The Jovian mechs are too cuhrazy to sell to anyone, at all
Just some speculah...
1) G-Reco has shown recently that "weird" and "different" is no longer a deal breaker since the kits are selling well enough for its line to get an extension
2) Bandai and Sunrise can always make more Build Fighters if they're scared that the main shows aren't commercial enough
3) Thankfully, Crossbone has a built-in audience anyway so Jovian kits will hopefully appeal to fans sick of Crossbone variants
>G-Reco has shown recently that "weird" and "different" is no longer a deal breaker since the kits are selling well enough for its line to get an extension
Maybe, but stuff like the Grimoire, Gaeon, etc. aren't *that* different. And I don't see or foresee any kits for the Perfect Asura-zong any time soon.
And still that pales in comparison to MY ENTIRE MOBILE SUIT IT A BEAM CLEAVER WITH LEGS
Or the nautilus
Or the goddamn wheels
Picking up Crossbone from Kadokawa can be easy, but eventually Sunrise and Kadokawa will have to decide if they are going to license everything from chaotic world of Hasegawa in order to make it work (everything's canon in Hasegawa's comic even if it has nothing to do with gundam).
That will cost lots of money and parties because the licenses spreads across multiple companies and holders.
>>"let's make a Unicorn sequel! This time with Okawara designs!"
Nobody actually wants this. Even Okafags don't want this.
The early 90s are long over. Give the man a rest, already...
>tfw early 90's okawara will never resurface.
>that concase angle on the legs.
For all the shit people give Katoki's lineart pose, this is so, sooo much worse...
>let's make a Unicorn sequel!
At this point, the only possible option would be adapting F90. It has Mars Zeon, after all.
The Plan to Assassinate Gihren Zabi, if you want something a little more political thriller.
I doubt the Nautilus is something they'd try to sell anyway
I want a kit of fedora tipper MS though
Fans: Start pumping out gunpla out of these!
Since it's a direct sequel to F91 I don't think it will happen because F91 wasn't that popular to begin with. Unless they remake F91 first. One can dream.
I want it. I want it bad. Also some new kits for the XM series while you're at it.
retards don't realize the a well made Batara mold could give us every JE grunt(they are based on it)
Seriously every JE suit mold can give us at least 2 different gunpla/P Bandai recolor(Quavazer>MP Quavarze, Cornix>Impulse Cornix, etc)
He didn't work on crossbone, that was Hasegawa
And the only good design of F91 was the gundam
All of the crossbone vanguard ms are overdesigned shit, like all of his UC works after that
>3) Thankfully, Crossbone has a built-in audience anyway so Jovian kits will hopefully appeal to fans sick of Crossbone variants
Isn't this kind of a logical fallacy though?
I mean, wouldn't the Crossbone fans be the ones least likely to be sick of the variants?
I mean, just cause they like the series, doesn't mean they'll automatically buy all the other MS from it.
Especially since the Crossbone itself has kind of gained a fandom beyond just its manga thanks to various games and now GBF.
No, they were the start of Okawara's shittyness.
Seriously, shit proportions, shit poses, over-detailed, all of those apply to him after F91. Seed at least had good designed gundams, but then Destiny came and he turned into shit again
Hey now! Seabook didn't get depicted as a pedo until Crossbone came along.
Something that only got added to by Hasegawa's seeming inability to draw a woman to look anywhere between the ages of 14 and 60.
Never said the backpacks were a good concept shithead, I said the gundams in it were well designed. The GAT-X series makes sense in-universe and the Freedom it's gorgeous. That doesn't mean all of Seed's designs were good, but should look more on the Zaft's side if you want bad designs
Tomino's concept goes for 13 episodes, and ends on Jupiter.
He gave Hasegawa the freedom to arrange the story in his own way, and ended up with 27 episodes including going to earth.
Tomino didn't want too much melee based battle, but Hasegawa pushed the idea and ended up with it.
So it is not completely Tomino's original.
All written in this book.
World of gene Yuichi Hasegawa ~ SF manga geek
>Comparing it to X
>Implying Victory isn't fairly well liked and that only a small minority of people like it to be hipsters
It is like you have never been in a thread about it.
According to the book Hasegawa proposed the use of anti-minovsky particle while talking about the F91 part due to the fact that he wanted more cool melee fights, and pissed Tomino off.
So probably no unless Tomino is completely off the project.
God if Sunrise actually listened to this and made an anime of it, I'd lose my shit.
I think I can solve this:
New Formula 91:
5 Ova's 1 hour ova's released over a period of 4 months. Retells the story of F91 with changes that allow for a more enjoyable experience, and a more conclusive ending.
Follows up on the F91 Ova, includes new scenes not present in the manga.
Divided into 7, one hour episodes.
Get a load of this guy. I'll give you post-2000 Okawara, but he had some damn good designs in the 90's.
>Seed at least had good designed gundams
It really didn't.
So when you all say that 2000s Okawara is shit, name some stuff he designed besides Seed or the multitude of RX-7802-based Gundams as mandated by Bandai.
oh wait you can't because nobody fucking remembers anything he did in the 2000s that isn't gundam beyond a few small examples
>Pluto is only at #5
Honestly that deserves to get an anime way more than Crossbone does.
It's not like the movie is ever going to actually happen.
>New Formula 91: 5 Ova's 1 hour ova's released over a period of 4 months. Retells the story of F91
>Crossbone: Follows up on the F91 Ova, includes new scenes not present in the manga.
Make that a seamless transition from F91 to Crossbone and that would indeed be the greatest thing ever.
I would really hope that an anime would (like UC) tone down the silliness and refine various things. Less melee would definitely be a good idea.
Sure I could get Victory Gaiden ties in with Crossbone, but everything else?
Dentsu (all Gundam license OWNER) has to buy out everything that has to do with the target title in case of a 3rd party came up to split their profit. This is the same reason why acquiring titles for SRW is a pain in the butt. This is how Japanese work.
Sunrise could do anything they want including a huge rewrite of the Crossbone story AFTER Dentsu gets the title. Hasegawa will be listed beside Tomino as one of the creators, but has a little to do with the actual project.
I love Crossbone Gundams but have no interest in F91.
Can I go straight into the manga? Is it worth just dealing with it and watching F91? All I really want is to see some pretty Crossbones and see what their story is.
I don't want to spend 2 hours watching something that people say is bad.
I don't see how laziness comes into it.
Want to watch the Twilight films with me, Anon? C'mon, don't be lazy!
They may not be wrong here.
Just cause people are willing to say they want a series of it doesn't mean they'll actually put down the money for a Vertical-grade release of it.
Look at what happened to GaoGaiGar, after all. What people say with their keyboards and say with their wallets aren't always the same thing.
If they make an anime i hope they use the EXVS character designs.
This is also true in that the internet =/= the real world.
Everyone online can be going crazy for a movie but then it does terrible at the box office.
At the same time everyone online can be talking about how shit a movie looks, and how nobody is going to see it, tearing it to shreds online... but it's making millions and millions of dollars.
If I was a producer, I wouldn't take a few posts in a few forums as proof that something was a guaranteed hit.
