1) G-Reco has shown recently that "weird" and "different" is no longer a deal breaker since the kits are selling well enough for its line to get an extension
2) Bandai and Sunrise can always make more Build Fighters if they're scared that the main shows aren't commercial enough
3) Thankfully, Crossbone has a built-in audience anyway so Jovian kits will hopefully appeal to fans sick of Crossbone variants

Picking up Crossbone from Kadokawa can be easy, but eventually Sunrise and Kadokawa will have to decide if they are going to license everything from chaotic world of Hasegawa in order to make it work (everything's canon in Hasegawa's comic even if it has nothing to do with gundam).
That will cost lots of money and parties because the licenses spreads across multiple companies and holders.

Tomino's concept goes for 13 episodes, and ends on Jupiter.
He gave Hasegawa the freedom to arrange the story in his own way, and ended up with 27 episodes including going to earth.
Tomino didn't want too much melee based battle, but Hasegawa pushed the idea and ended up with it.

So it is not completely Tomino's original.

Dentsu (all Gundam license OWNER) has to buy out everything that has to do with the target title in case of a 3rd party came up to split their profit. This is the same reason why acquiring titles for SRW is a pain in the butt. This is how Japanese work.
Sunrise could do anything they want including a huge rewrite of the Crossbone story AFTER Dentsu gets the title. Hasegawa will be listed beside Tomino as one of the creators, but has a little to do with the actual project.

I love Crossbone Gundams but have no interest in F91.

Can I go straight into the manga? Is it worth just dealing with it and watching F91? All I really want is to see some pretty Crossbones and see what their story is.
