If you like early FF Amano it's physically impossible to dislike his work on Vampire Hunter D, it's the same exact style.
Now, I agree on the fact that Amano not doing awesome Toku heroes at all since, 30 years now, is bad but his style is really too artsy for mainstream shit, and perhaps it's better like this.

Art design for Vampire Hunter D is great, the actual animation style not so much.
What I like about the Tatsunoko anime is that they managed to take his particular artistic style and give it a manly rendition while mantaining the overall looks.

I'm liking the juxtaposition of the very lighthearted and slapstick new Doronbo Gang and the dystopic world around them. The Yattermooks could be fucking terrifying if played correctly. The show has a lot of potential if they can pull it off.

The new season takes place in a hypothetical future of Yattarman. (More or less it's the same trick of Casshern Sin and Rockman zero). So even if disconnected, some important reference could come out, (definitely a Dokrobei revenge).

Anyways, The Yattarmen had fifteen special robots, that they alternated during the season (including YattaDog, the most iconic). It would be nice if they were all recreated in evil version.

Wow, that was good. I can't wait to see the rest. I was honestly not expecting much of anything, but I even teared up a bit. I know this is a bit of a different beast from the original, but it at least ties itself to it, unlike Crowds.
