Who's ready for February 15th
HOLY SHIT, I love everything is this pic! The black undersuit instead of grey looks much better, the mecha is fucking amazing and the girls have tigh-high boots (HNNNNG)!
Ninninger GOAT sentai.
I hope the 6th ranger has a swastika shaped shuriken-visor.
Holy shit, that would make Saban fucking die!
Pic somewhat related.
>gangsta sentai never
Well folks..its pretty obvious now that we're in for a wild ride for the next two sentai series in 2015-16. This here is the 39th series coming up and Toei is leading into the 40th anniversary with this sweet looking ninja team. I can tell they intend to outdo Gokaiger with the 40th anniversary show.
The things I know will happen in NinNinjer are
-Spinning air izuna drops
-better fights than toqger
Because people in the Western world need to feel superior while being flooded with third world shite. As a Britbong I will readily admit that my country is just the shitty parallel universe version of Japan.
She's going to be played by a fucking 15 year old again, isn't she.
This is my problem with Sentai, they reuse subject material a bit too often.
I mean, where's my Knight/Medieval Sentai where they have Sentai mode and Knight mode where Red is Caped Knight, Blue has a mecha horse, Green is the Heavy knight, Pink is the Archer, and Yellow the Dual Dagger thief. They're led by an aged as shit Arthur in a war against Viking monsters who worship The Giant of Fire and want Ragnarok to happen.
Then we get White and Black who are White/Black mages trained by Merlin.
It'd be great.
It's untested. You gotta look at the financial landscape. It's been a long while since Sentai had more than two successful years in a row, why risk it again? Ninjas are among Sentai's best sellers.
Yeah but think about it
We've seen 3 Dino based Sentai
3 Ninja based
at least 2 Martial Arts based (only know of Dairanger and Gekiranger, probably more I'm forgetting)
and so many 'Secret/No-So-Secret Government Organization is helping the world from the shadows.'
I just want my Ye olde Knights done in Sentai.
>at least 2 Martial Arts based (only know of Dairanger and Gekiranger, probably more I'm forgetting)
Give it a few years of successful runs before Toei starts testing out things again. I imagine they won't try anything radically different for the 40th anniversary either.
So you want a Toku version of Brass Rangers...
I'm OK with that
>team has elemental powers just 'cause
>As a result, their personalities are a bunch of shitty predetermined archetypes even on top of the usual Sentai roles
Yeah, sure, let's make Sentai even more formulaic for no goddamned reason, it's not like we're all tired of seeing the same shit every season or anything. Man, fuck element theming.
Am I the only one who wants a cyborg sentai with suits similar to the metal heroes?
>Writer of Go-Busters vs. Go-Busters
This could either be amazing or a trainwreck.
>Writer of GoBus Vs GoBus
Oh boy, time for another comedic sentai!
I hope the 40th goes back to being serious. Not so serious, but serious enough that it can appeal to the adult audience Toei is hoping to buy the toys as well the kids
That's still the best extra movie to date. Also, just because he did humor doesn't mean he can only do humor.
He also wrote:
That episode of Goseiger where the monster emotionally tortures Moune.
Shinkenger v Goseiger
The Go-buster Episode with the tiny eraseroid.
The episode where Wazu Gil dies.
A month or so ago the guy who apparently works at Toei said that the casting was being done with the mindset of needing to find actors who can play fun and lively types, make of that what you will.
Hurricanger for sure are in. Sasuke's actor loves Sentai, Tsuruhime is probably up for it. Seikai is an anime voice actor, but he might be up for it. I think the only ones in question would be Saizou and Jiraiya.
