Huge Kikainerd here. From what I've watched, it's now how I would have done it, but it looks like a good movie. Really hope it gets a sequel, the 01 part of the story has great characters.

Oh, c'mon. The series is a fucking mess for more than 2/3 of its run. Yeah, it gets awesome near the end but then the final episode is a huge letdown. It's pretty clear that the writters didn't know what to do with it. And as a result, there's no Kikaider OO series.

Yeah the end pretty much comes out of fucking nowhere and compared to the manga, it's shit, but the series itself is very good! I like how they managed the multiple Hakaiders, then the horror stories were great and once they're donde with all that, we have full android drama with Bijinder and Waruder. The action is amazing too, it's very fast paced and explosive, perfecto for toku. It's a great ride and Ikeda is one hell of a showa hero, wish he did more lead roles, R.I.P.

Mirrorman Reflex (2005)

Produced by Tsuburaya Productions, the series aired on Fuji TV from December 5, 1971 to November 26, 1972, with a total of 51 episodes. I just finished the anime and found it pretty good.

I don't know why people don't like it. I thought it was a pretty decent adaptation of the original manga minus the 01 parts.

I'm going to watch the OAV sequel now. I hope it's as good as the series, but I'm skeptical since I heard it's just 5 episodes long.

It's pretty clear that much of this "love story" falls apart when Ichiro/Zero-One is introduced. So the decision to separate the story into two different series with a completely different tone.

There's no market for Ishinomori in the US. The Kikaider anime, the Cyborg 009 remake, the Tokyopop SkullMan and 009, the Comixology mangas, the american comic... Everything failed. So, what's the point?
