Okay /lit/ I need some guidance. I realize it's 0330 and most of you chaps are asleep but still. Help a brother out.
Okay so: De divisione naturae, or the Periphyseon of John Scotus Eriugena aka John Scot aka Eriugena. This is a document of vital importance to me and perhaps the world. Is there a good english translation? My latin is non-existent. Anybody familiar with his work that can recommend a useful volume? Thank you, /lit/ and put some garlic up the vampires are out tonight.

For the curious. Alright since you guys were Abbot & Costello I did some research and there is no complete English translation, especially one aimed at the public. There are a couple of academic works in progress that are potentially available at boutique prices. I purchased the reprint of Myra Uhlfelder's work, which has a severely truncated Book II (which seems to have been a near-useless bestiary of earthly creatures anyway). I'll look again in a few years but this should suffice for now.

bububump.
contact Ken Wheeler, he has the biggest collection of that shit in the world, and has scanned them up and slapped them online but his website's down. He's on Youtube as the Angry Photographer now since his philosophy vids got pulled I think. He'll be nice to you if you're nice to him.
Also read Carabine's Unknown God.

Planning on it friend. Also this segment of history is motivation for learning latin. Thanks for your help.

>you're welcome
just so you know, Ken was one of the original internet shitlords from back in the usenet days (on Buddhist and philosophy boards), but he went full retard after reading all that stuff, and turned into a fat tattooed slob, and possibly gay too from what I heard.
>inb4 implying cause and effect
But he literally has every single book on the subject and is more than happy to share but it's been a while since I was in touch with him.

I was looking for that same text a month ago, I made a scribd account just to download it. If you start a free trial it will be on there, it's 800 fucking pages though.
Just curious, how did you find out about the book?
