Can I get some writing, preferably non fiction resources? It's been about 5 years since I left school and I have no idea on the even the fundamentals of writings, wither in structure or even grammar.
It's really depressing that a man who barely finished primary and whose only qualification was an E on history can have more engaging writing about day to day things than I can come up with trying my damnedest.
If you rely on the technicality of writing then you're not going to be a good writer.

This is false. Having a strong grasp of the fundamentals is key to developing a writing style. Most beginners do not even realize how many "rules" there are that affect their piece of composition.

You should check out The Elements of Style by William Strunk JR. and E.B. White. I never thought I'd look back 5 years after buying it for an intro English and say it was the most useful book on writing I had read. It's damn useful and dirt cheap.

This is false. Just read a lot of books, then start writing. Everything will come naturally, or not at all.
