Pretentious hack who is only mad at DFW because he knows he is inferior to him.

Don't. I read about half of American Psycho before the laptop I had it on died. It was terrible. I was still going to finish it, but I'm using my laptop's death as an excuse not to.
Bret "edgy" Ellis
He looks like Kiefer Sutherland in that photo.
Is American Psycho worth the read, or is it just recommended because of the dubs meme?

It's a meme book recommended by edgy teens and those who never grew out of their edgy teen phase. When the movie is better in every way for once, you know the book is fucking terrible.
I saw the Rules of Attraction on HBO, it was decent. Got the book from Goodwill, haven't read it yet but will soon. I expect nothing particularly great about it now.

It's a fun quick read, not very engaging but filled with 80's references.

>fun
I don't know about you but endless descriptions of brand names and products aren't my idea of fun.

Too deep for plebs.

Don't you like reading your posts on your Apple MacBook Pro Retina with 32GB memory whilst wearing a blue Isaia suit with a white Borreli shirt and Santoni's dangling from your toes?
I even tried to eat some of her brains.
He gets pretty interesting people on his podcast but won't hardly let them talk.
Less Than Zero is an essential read for egdy teenage existentialists tho

I have only read American Physco so far and it was great. So judging from that I'd say he is one of the stand out contemporary authors.
Glamorama wasn't as good as I expected it to be.

Bateman would never wear Isaia, he prefers more structured suits. That's why he always wore Brioni and Armani.
