What's the conclusion (regarding how to act in life) one would draw from Schopenhauer "will".
If the will of the world is a thing and every individuals motivation is just an aspect of it.. okay but what consequences does this idea have at all for the individual?
If I try to answer this, it seems like he just wants a strategy of avoiding something bad.
Why is he so obsessed with suffering? I think he is. Why so negative? Is that stuff applicable to the West today?
everything is the aspect of will not just "motivation" your eyes your mouth your fingers, the will to do each of the things they do, it has to do with the kantian thing-in-itself is beyond experience, schopenhauer's will is that thing
for schoepenhauer all things including life is just expression of this will, you can't escape it nor can you satisfy it
