I used spark notes to get by in high school, I am now studying math at university and I don't want to remain illiterate any longer. Should I just start with the recommended books or are those too advanced

seems just as complex as the starter kit.

i am asking if I need to start with a book like harry potter before moving to the /lit/ approved. I have never read a book in my life.

When you start going back for classics I recommend Much Ado About Nothing and The Misanthrope. They're easier than say the Divine Comedy.
