Why aren't there more books about black girls?

Because people write from a perspective they know or what to live.

Usually books about black girls would be A BOOK ABOUT BLACK GIRLS, not just a book focusing on a black girls.Which is kind of sad, given that it could open up some pretty interesting plots

Anyway, OP here, and the image I posted was about the "need" for more childrens books about black girls (a little girl was complaining about only being about to read about white boys and dogs.) So why so few of those, leaving the desirability of black women out of it.

Most children's books don't specify what race the main character is. Not our fault they default imagine white kids.
