I have a 5.5" 1080p Zenphone but I'm considering buying an ereader.

damn, I gotta say, I had a strong prejudice against reading in tablets/smartphones, but I just download Kindle and found several good books for free, books that I probably couldn't even find to buy here in brazil

Not OP, but I read on my tablet.
Kindle app with calibre on my PC to make custom mobi files. Or I use FBreader if I'm feeling lazy.
Kindle has really nice aesthetics but FBreader has a neat progress tracker, clock & battery % indicator at the bottom, barely noticeable.

I just downloaded Kindle in my android, its my first eReader and seems ok. You can change the background colour, font size, line spacing and margins size (and in few books you can even change the font itself). Also found alot of good books for free, here are some: 4 or 5 Plato's works, 1 Aristotle's, War and Peace, Don Quixote, Les Misérables and Paradise Lost.

I used to sit an hour or more in the subway every day and that thing was godly. I've never gotten so much stuff read as I got then.

Moon Reader, surprised no one's mentioned it yet. Found it superior to Aldiko etc. and never looked back.
