All the time, people use "Occam's razor" to say that the simplest explanation is most likely the correct one.
This theory is named after William of Ockham. Therefore, it should be "Ockham's razor"
>>7623904
love this one
>>7623916
Well they'd be doubly wrong as it is the theory with the fewest assumptions, which isn't necessarily the simplest
>>7623916
There are scripts where his name is spelled in a lot of different ways
Just like Descartes/Cartesius
>>7623904
>>7623927
He is from Ockham, England. From the time of his birth until now, that place has always been called and spelled Ockham.

The power of autism is why men create and women gestate.
Kate Beacon "creates" comics like she passively oozes sludge out of her vagina. I created that incredible parody as a phallic monument to my superiority over her.

Its mostly just inside jokes for people who get the references. I don't find them very funny but they are cute
didn't come from /lit/ but goddam do i lose my shit at this every time i read it
>>7629258
her secret is that it isn't even inside jokes, it's shit fucking anybody would get
"if i get this, i'm smart"
"if i laugh at this, i get it"
"therefore, if i laugh, i'm smart"
he he he it's that dude what got stabbed in the french revolution i know basically nothing about the french revolution but i've seen that painting and can kind of get it XDD now i'm a genius
take anything that involves history/literature just above the level of the absolutely most obvious, make the characters talk awkwardly, draw it badly, and you have a beaton comic
you can just think one up for anything:
>julius caesar standing by a small stream and mischievously putting one foot over to the other side
>angry pompey on the other side going "don't do it" all silly and informally with no punctuation
you get it??? it's the rubicon, yoiu know what the rubicon is even if you know nothing about roman history but you can feel smart for getting it, time to repost it on /lit/ forever
>>7624935
After seeing your post and some dissenting opinions, I went to her site to see where I stand and I must say that you are irrefutable. To be without talent is no punishable offense, after one can't help but harbor delusions when praise is misappropriated, but to portray the great Beethoven as this woman has is simply unforgivable and has earned not only my contempt, but indignation. Typical of a girl:
>neglects to acknowledge the man who stands as the pinnacle of musical creation
>fails to recognize the immortality he has achieved through sheer devotion to art
>says nothing regarding innumerable men he has motivated
>points out that he denounced a woman in public for being a whore
>admonishes him for taking possession of his nephew to protect from the influence of a whore
Such an offense cannot be forgiven or overlooked and my contempt extends from her to anyone who has anything but ridicule to say of her. Here is the link to the comic that has thus triggered me. You may insult my mother a hundred times and I would not turn my head towards you, but to speak in any manner that is deficient in admiration or praise when regarding Beethoven is tantamount to blasphemy.
