Yeah, it gets a lot easier in Parts 2 and 3. Part 4 loses any sense of coherency gained in 2 and 3 though, but it's an enjoyable journey for its own reasons.

Also, I'd leave out any complex analysis for your first run through the book. It's an experience on the first run through.

On subsequent readings you can go through it with a fine tooth comb.
