Does a instrumentally conditioned animal have freewill? (instrumental conditioning = rewarding good action, punishing bad action)

If not, does an animal under "regular" circumstances have freewill? If not, QED, free will doesn't exist.

If it does, this means freewill can be taken away, since the brainwashed animal does not have freewill. If freewill can be taken away by simple conditioning (reward good, punish bad), what is the difference between a "conscious" way of doing this by people in lab coats, or the unconscious, uncaring way of nature and natural selection? It would appear there is none, and freewill does not exist in animals.
