A friend of mine was asking if Diane 35 did anything if I'm not mistaken trans people don't take that I recommended she take procur (cypro) and sublingual estrogen or injections. But Diane 35 said it had antiandrogens and estrogen, she also asked about climara I really wanna help her but honest I have no idea of what to tell her as I only have what I take.
>>
>>8462447
You shouldn't use diane 35 cause ethinyl estradiol will kill you. Plus you'd have to take like 10x the normal dosage cause it doesn't have very much in it.
>>
Is it true that going on HRT can help reverse male pattern baldness?
>>
>>8462633
On the top of your head, yes.
On the temples, maybe. Temples are really hard to recover even with fina/duta. It's just a bitch ;_;

Obviously there's surgeries but it's just a lot of money.
>>
>>8462636
Full HRT would have greater hair regrowth potential over just a weak AA. Remember, the ability for hair loss pills to do their work is limited by how far normal straight males are willing to sterilize themselves for their hairline.
>>
>>8462651
That's not entirely the issue. With men the forehead skull structure changes with age and temple recession isn't necessarily MPB, it's facial structure changes.

But I personally have noticed temple hair regrowth it's just chugging along at frozen molasses pace. The rest of my hair is great and my temples are easy to hide though. I'm legit the only person that even knows cause unless I pull my hair back you can't see it. But I basically want to kill myself over it every time I look in a mirror. But I shouldn't bring that up in this thread lol

Does anyone have any links or any other proof why Mtfs should aim for 100 - 200pg/ml E? Hemingways says 30 - 120 (follicular phase) is enough and Boston University School of Medicine just says "<200pg/ml" without specifying it at all. I'd just really like some hard data because I'm worried my E won't even pass the 100pg/ml mark with progynova 8mg and I'd like to know if I need to press my doctor to change my medicine. My T levels are nuked well tho
>>
Has anyone had a psychedelic experience while undergoing HRT? How did the experience compare to your psychedelic experiences before starting HRT (or other transition landmarks, I guess)?

I ask because I might be starting HRT soon and I've occasionally used LSD therapeutically in the past and got a lot out of it. I've always really enjoyed LSD, but I'm curious how if at all the experience is changed by HRT and medical transition in general.

I've had the opportunity to specifically deal with my gender identity problems while on LSD, but I've never been able to actualize this because the few times that I've tried have felt so painful and have given me such horrible dysphoria I've had to stop and do something else. I want to eventually handle it, and I think it's the best way for me personally to do it.
>>
>>8462433
depends on what your hands look like, skin gets smoother and fills up a bit with fat so so even if you're like super veiny it'll help a bit.

>>8462633
in most cases it does help reverse baldness, but if not it will at least stop the balding.

>>8463092
it seems like every source has they're own opinion about it, I've read a lot regarding that, but, like you, I'm still a bit confused. probably the answer is depending on what's helping your body hence the margin being so ridiculously big
>>
>>8463799
Can you give any links? I'm seriously low at 30pg/ml at 4mg progynova and I need to convince my doctor to change my medicine
>>
>>8463973
Not them but
>http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/2089003-overview#a1
Shows womens estradiol levels throughout the cycle, as for a stable dose I guess aiming for a middle ground based on that.
>>
>>8463973
>30pg/ml
What the fuck, that's lower than a cis guy lmao
If your doctor don't think there's something wrong, it's time to find a new one or start self-medding

Your E levels should be what your E receptors can handle, which is around 300pg/ml in an average adult male. But you also have to account for other types of estrogen other than estradiol that will bind to the same receptors, so instead of aiming for 300pg/ml it's normal to aim for about 200pg/ml instead. Even if your E is too high, nothing bad will really happen. It's better to have high E and start getting side-effects, then slightly lower your dose than "playing it safe" and slowing down your progress twice as much as you normally would

Good luck finding links, though
>>
Anyone have a coupon code for PrivateMDLabs?

I had one for 25% before but I can't find it anymore.

>Even if your E is too high, nothing bad will really happen. It's better to have high E and start getting side-effects, then slightly lower your dose than "playing it safe" and slowing down your progress twice as much as you normally would

There's a hypothesis that having too much E early on stunts breast growth, makes them small, cone-shaped, tuberous and hard.
>>
>>8464826
Which is just a meme there exists absolutely no information on
My levels were already 230pg/ml 14 days into HRT (tested 6 hours after morning dose), 1.5 years later I've had amazing results compared to timelines I've seen and completely normal looking D-cups
The only reason I still browse this board is by trying to inform people that low doses are just madness (unless you're 50 and have shitty health)
There's no end to all the retards who settles down in lower female E ranges to save money or "because my endo says so!", when they could get better results twice as fast by realizing they're not 12 year old girls, but fully grown men and adjusting their dosages accordingly
Your body already knows how to deal with E, it doesn't need to "take it slowly" or "get used to it"
>>
>>8464882
My levels were 98 pg/mL on 4mg Estrofem, the test was taken 12 hours after my night dose.

Is that bad? It was obviously a while after my dose.

I went up to 6mg after that, it's been three months since I've had my test done.
>>
>>8464882
What dosages were you on? I don't know the falloff, but my levels were at 106pg/ml after 12 hours, taking 6mg E spread evenly 2mg/8 hours apart. Is that worth raising?
>>
getting referral for endo tomorrow

I have a question about hair growth. I have a little bit of a balding hairline.

My questions are,

1, Will my hair grow long and girly in places with no baldness

and

2, should I get implants for the bald parts at the front, or will hair be able to go over it
>>
>>8464911
That's bad, but 6mg could be enough. I don't know how much it fell off over the 12 hours
>>8464917
I take 8mg estrofem, 4mg when I wake up, 2 in the middle of the day, and 2 when I go to bed. With those levels, you might want to do the same

Is there any merit in rectal administration of estradiol? I'm sick of keeping it under my tongue and having to stop myself from swallowing, and should it have higher bioavailability anyway?
>>
>>8465946
No
>>
>>8465974
Did some research on that related to progynova before, and yes that should be similar to sublingual, absorbing right into the blood stream.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rectal_administration
>A drug that is administered rectally will in general (depending on the drug) have a faster onset, higher bioavailability, shorter peak, and shorter duration than the oral route.
>..the rectal route bypasses around two thirds of the first-pass metabolism..

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_pass_effect
>..is a phenomenon of drug metabolism whereby the concentration of a drug is greatly reduced before it reaches the systemic circulation.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prodrug
>Inactive prodrugs are pharmacologically inactive medications that are metabolized into an active form within the body.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estradiol_valerate
>Upon ingestion, regardless of the route of administration, estradiol valerate behaves as a prodrug via cleavage by esterases into estradiol and the natural fatty acid valeric acid.
>This cleavage occurs not only in the liver, but also in the blood and in tissues..

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Route_of_administration
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bond_cleavage
>>
>>8466065
Thank you for the extensive information but the quotes you copy pasted are all about estradiol valerate. DESU I don't doubt that rectal estradiol would pose any decrease in feminisation, if anyone has any experiences or even theories to share or even butt jokes I'd love to hear them
>>
Estrofem or Progynova

Pills or Injections or Patches or Pellets
>>
>>8466163
I would imagine it would absorb just fine.
The main issue I would think is you need some sort of medium or whatever to dissolve the drug and make contact with your intestinal walls to facilitate absorption.
>>
>>8466163
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rectal_administration
>A drug that is administered rectally will in general (depending on the drug) have a faster onset, higher bioavailability, shorter peak, and shorter duration than the oral route.
>..the rectal route bypasses around two thirds of the first-pass metabolism..
Is not about specific to estradiol valerate though.. Rectal is basically same as sublingual anyway.
I did the research mainly because the rumor that estradiol valerate doesn't work sublingual/rectal (without going through the liver).
>>
>>8466208
yeah estradiol valerate won't be metabolized at the liver in healthy people. I saw a study where they injected it and it was metabolized in the blood almost instantly.
>>
>>8466205
Good call on making me research solubility, it appears to be insoluble in aqueous cond (https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/estradiol#section=Solubility), this article mentions that it's soluble in DMSO: https://www.caymanchem.com/pdfs/10006315.pdf

I'm only 18 so I can't purchase ethanol as a solvent, probably have to use DMSO.
>>
>>8466214
That's where i came to with that research in the end too;
>This cleavage occurs not only in the liver, but also in the blood and in tissues
The liver will destroy most of the pill if swallowed though, and what comes out will be metabolized throughout the body as usual.

There's a few things missing on this research still, half life when taking rectal/sublingual, and I guess how well it absorbs either way.
Also taking progynova sublingual could harm your teeth because the long dissolution time (rumors).

Reason I started researching this are here though (among others);
Women prescribed progynova to fix their lining are often told to take it vaginally by their doctors/nurses (even when the pack says oral).
>>
Sorry to change the topic, but I've been self medding 2mg estradiol for two weeks now, and I've noticed an increase in depression, not bad but it's noticeable. Should I try other meds, lower dose, or just wait it out?
>>
>>8466280
Not them, but not sure I'm following you here, by saying 'insoluble in aqueous cond' do you mean insoluable in water?
>An aqueous solution is a solution in which the solvent is water.
If so why would it absorb sublingual in that case when 'human saliva is 99.5% water'?
>>
>>8466280
Don't put DMSO up your ass lmao

You could probably use propylene glycol or glycerin. But don't put normal solvents in your butt.
>>
>>8465598
I take 6mg, and I take the bigger dose at night. (2 in the morning, four at night)
sometimes, if I have nothing going on, I can space it morning, afternoon, night.
>>
>>8466344
Yes that's what I meant, the link says it's soluble at 0.0036 mg/mL which is basically insoluble

>>8466369
Haha ok I was just joking
>>
>>8466386
>basically insoluble
Then what you're saying is it doesn't work sublingual either?
>>
>>8466434
No I'm saying that that's what the article reads, I'm not making conclusions off it
>>
>>8466386
You probably just need to "disperse" it and it'll dissolve and absorb into your bodies mucuous. I can't see just shoving a whole pill in your butt working right
>>
>>8466466
Okey, there's another thing in that article that may make a difference though, I really don't know, maybe you do; it states 'at 27 C', that's also 10 deg less than your body..

>>8466472
I actually did an experiment with just shoving an oral melatonin pill up the butt a few times, it still puts me out at least.
>>
>>8466482
Well when i did ecstasy in my ass once what i did was mash it up and then stuck it in a gelatin capsule cause i figured that would dissolve instantly then the ecstasy is in a nice crushed up state and absorbs.
>>
>>8466486
I can see that being beneficial to that use at least, when you want the kick fast and as high as you can at once.
I don't really have that need with estrogen though, if it spends half an hour or more to dissolve it'll still absorb and mostly bypass the liver, only downside is having to time it better so you don't have to poop shortly after lol.
>>
>>8466482
That sounds really iffy
>>
>>8466535
Though the pill is really small, idk.

Now I got tempted to try out that rectal E again, alongside the progesterone I usually take there anyway.
Progynova and prometrium is in the pic, I took the other E normally though. Unfortunately I got no tests coming up soon so anything it makes me feel may as well be placebo or coincidence though..

day 8 of 50mg cypro and 2mg estrofem
I suddenly just got hit by that depression that cypro causes. Does it go away? Can I do anything to deal with it?
>>
>>8467111
I'm 99% sure that cypro only causes depression when it's not taken with E, because low sex hormones causes depression. It shouldn't be the cypro itself
>>

I'd say 2mg in the morning and 2 mg at night.

Barrel chest for most guys happens in their 30's.
As >>8468731 said, despite what all the tards on this board say your skeletal structure will alter until the day you die. Your skeletal structure has a cell turnover of something like 10-15% a year.

Also this link may help you:
https://www.researchgate.net/post/What_is_the_difference_between_bone_turnover_and_bone_remodeling
>Bone Growth (from 4th month of fetal life, after the development of ossification centers, until the end of the somatic growth – about 20-22 years of age): it consists in dimensional increase of skeletal segments by activity of osteoblasts only.
>Bone Modeling (from 4th month of fetal life, after the onset of bone growth, until the end of the somatic growth – about 20-22 years of age): it consists in macroscopic changes of the shape of skeletal segments by independent activity (on different surfaces) of osteoblasts and osteoclasts.
>Bone Remodeling (it appears in the 6th month of fetal life and lasts for life): it consists in microscopic changes of bone structure by coupled activity (on the same surface with temporal sequence) of osteoclasts (first) and osteoblasts (later).

What are the differences between Androcur and a generic drug?

Androcur will cost me like $40 for 20x 50mg pills

The generic one will cost me $13 for the same quantity (20x50mg ciproterone acetate)
>>
>>8469773
pretty sure androcur is just a brand name, there shouldnt be a difference
>>
>>8469773
There's no differences between brand name drugs and generics, they're legally required to be the exact same. Not to mention there's no logical reason for them to not make them the exact same, once the patent is expired it's fair game to whoever wants to make it.
>>
>>8470072

it is cheaper to skimp on quality and there are differences between brand name drugs and generics, at least in the usa.

But for real though, where could I get affordable cyrpo and estradot or climera patches in Canuck Land?
>>
>>8475611
Well QHI ships to Canada. Otherwise you'd have to find another website that would. For some reason hardly anywhere ships to Canada.
It used to be easiest just to go on tor but it's not really a common thing on tor markets now. But if a marketplace has a forum you can go on there and ask someone to get you it and someone for sure would.

It is slightly worrying about the lack of places that ship here... I've ordered tons of stuff on tor before but ever since silk road shut down marketplaces come and go and it's quite difficult to just go on a forum and ask for things now. Before you could just go on the forum and be like "I want AAs and E" and someone would ship you like a thousand pills in the mail no questions asked lol
>>
>>8475611
When I want to scare /pol/ I go take pics of my crawlspace that has like 2000 empty water bottles in it.

I found some person who has estradiol/estradiol valerate and cyproterone acetate on one of the huge list of drugs availiable on Dream Market. I asked what form is the estrogen in, or if he has multiple options, and the prices, now he just needs to reply. Hopefully, he'll have everything I need at a decently low price.

My other option is to use a mail forwarding service to ship my shit to Canada, so I can buy from inhousepharmacy.

My bf wants to look more feminine but is opting for surgeries rather than hrt. I think he's concerned mainly about breast growth in that regards. How well does ffs hold up without hrt?

why am I noticing that its difficult to get an erection on 25mg of bica everyday? I don't want this to happen... is this normal?

That's kind of a horrible way to go about it... The surgeries are going to look horrible considering what T does to your skin and hair over time.

Should I have my hair prior to HRT and let it grow thin on HRT or just start growing a month or two before hand?
>>
>>8476075

*should I shave* i meant
>>
>>8476094
HRT doesn't affect body hair as much as people think it does. It mostly slows it and it will maybe turn hair that has just turned into androgenic hair within the past year or so back into vellous hair.
Any areas you've had body hair for several years now will stay that way.

If you want it gone permanently you'll need laser plus electrolysis.
Epilating and waxing is particularly effective on HRT because your hair grows back slower and thinner as is, and epilation makes it grow back even thinner.
If you don't already epilate I'd suggest starting. If you don't want to epilate than look into laser/electrolysis (you'll need both for 100% hair removal as laser only can reduce growth, not completely eliminate it, plus sometimes the laser doesn't even result in permanent removal).

Unless of course you were talking about scalp hair, in which case I have no idea why you would shave it lmao

>>
>>8476158
Surgeries will make him look like a weird michael jackson. Even then I'm sure even MJ took shit like AAs and Fina.

It would just look really bizarre to take a female face structure and then let T have at it.
Estrogen changes your skin quite a bit. It reduces epidermal thickness, hydrates skin better than test does, and it smooths out wrinkles more than test does.
Not to mention skeletal structure changes as you age. Your face will continue to change as you grow older. Browlines definitely change as most females have prominent brows as they approach menopause, and if they don't have that yet they certainly will after menopause fucks up their body.
But for men facial shape definitely changes from 30-40, as that is when mens testosterone and DHT is at its peak.

Surgeries without HRT is just a bad idea. Imagine taking a female face and give it male pattern baldness and thick wrinkly skin.
>>
>>8476118

lol thx. I am going to laser remove facial and body hair over and over until it never grows back

I was talking in terms of hair on my head, as I shave it now in boy mode. I was wondering if HRT will thin it out.
>>
>>8476211
If HRT thins out your hair then it's usually a bad sign. Sometimes people go too low of T and they suffer low testosterone symptoms similar to women, and will get hair loss.
There's also other reasons hair loss can occur but HRT on its own should increase hair, not decrease it, assuming no negative side effects.
>>
>>8476259

Fair enough I will just grow my hair from now, HRT is roughly 2 months away >_<

It's pretty cheap so just buy like 100g for the next 2 months. You can buy pill capsules and a pill packer on amazon for like $20.
>>
>>8476358
Lignans are actually antiandrogenic on their own if you take enough.
In studies of men that ate the unextracted powders at 30g/day it usually reduces test by about 10-20%.

I posted about this once before but I've seen one anecdotal report of an ultramarathon runner that megadosed on it by accident. He had prostate issues and was eating about 150-200g/day. His testosterone dropped from something like 900ng/dL to less than 200ng/dL. He was receiving monthly hormone tests as part of his training which is how he found out.

Supplements are amazing even if you don't take them for estrogenic reasons.

Fish oil changed my life lol
My skin is sooo much better due to fish oil.
>>
>>8476596
should I do the flax supplements? I have fish oil supplements but I just mix flax seeds with food
>>
>>8476626
You shouldn't use flax on HRT.
You can use flax oil since it has no lignans, but flax seed has lignans and has both estrogenic and antiestrogenic properties. I suppose you can use it a bit, but not too much. Same with any other phytoestrogen, stay in the lower dosages otherwise it interferes with HRT.
Unfortunately most of the good stuff doesn't start until you hit high dosages. Like for isoflavones you need about 200-300mg/day before it starts exerting antioxident effects on your liver and can reverse fatty liver disease. But obviously if you're on HRT you would not be capable of a dosage that high.
>>
>>8476645
I'm not on HRT, are seeds better in that case? I'm a bit lost here
>>
>>8476704
Yeah the seeds would be better then, either that or use extracted lignans (I believe 30g of flax seed contains 30-40mg of lignans if I remember right)
If you're taking fish oil just take more of it to makeup for decrease in omega-3's if you use lignan extract.

Technically flax is a poor source of O-3's anyways. Only about 15% of omega-3's in flax get converted to EPA and DHA which are the ones with the most health benefits and the only ones that provide nootropic benefits. Generally with flax oil supplements they actually put 3x as much ALA in them to make up for the fact that only 15% is actually what you really want.

whole seeds it seems like I would only need 2 tablespoons. to get 30mg
does that sound right?
I wanna get to the point where it significantly reduces testosterone or blocks it.

gonna buy the lignan extract too just because it's cheap.
>>
>>8478975
i thought you could buy it OTC in thailand
>>
>>8479085
Well why not take a standard antiandrogen then?

I think there's charts around that let you know how much lignans are in which product and such.
Also don't take too much flax seed, it has nickel in it which is harmful to your liver in excessive amounts. If you want more lignans you should use the extracts.
Soy isoflavones, red clover isoflavones, and isoxanthohumol (converts to 8-PN in the gut) and 8-prenylnaringenin from hops are all good for reducing T and preventing MPB as well.
Isoflavones are 17B-HSD inhibitors which is why they're now used for prostate cancer at dosages of around 600-1000mg/day from soy extracts. Synthetically derived isoflavone SERMs have been used in breast cancer, but most weren't successful.

I have some questions regarding male body changes through 18 to 25.

During this time what happens? More body hair? Can the feet and hands still grow? What about the general body height?
>>
>>8481272
just google it
>>
>>8481272
My feet stopped growing when I was 19 I think, but I've always had tiny feet and hands so maybe others will grow more. I'd say there's a decent chance up until 22-23ish when bones are finishing fusing.
Height for most people is done by 18/19 but I'm sure some get an inch or two at most.

But I'd say the biggest changes are definitely body hair, forehead structure changes, and although I never had it happen to myself I've seen guys jaws change, some guys become barrel chested during this time but I think most guys can barrel chest in their 30-40's when testosterone is at its peak.
From 18-25 you're actually still pretty low test compared to what you will be in 10 years. Same with women, they start getting their estrogen nuked in their 30's and their T goes up and they'll get more defined browlines and larger foreheads.
>>

>>8451863
>>
>>8481465
Cyproterone kills the sex drive, and then if you don't touch it, it kind of shrinks but it wont be too noticable.
Your balls will shrink a bit though.

Outside of that, the answer is no. There's no way to decrease the size of your penis. Not even surgery could do that without fucking it all up horrifically.
>>
>>8481674
Yeah it's technically "fake atrophy"
It's vascular tissue so it doesn't technically go anywhere the cells themselves just shrink up after awhile.
If you were to somehow regain erections and consistently maintained it your dick goes back to normal size. In cis men that have legit ED and don't get nocturnal erections they'll see penis atrophy and erections will be painful if they don't constantly masturbate. But once their ED is gone all the penis atrophy completely reverses. Vascular tissue cannot technically atrophy in the sense that muscle tissue does.

I'd think actually people that are growers not showers see less atrophy. Cause the ones with big flaccid penises have already distended vascular tissue so it can easily shrink in size whereas people that are growers have their vascular tissue "resting" at near maximum atrophy size.
But this is just my pure speculation and I don't think it's ever been investigated.

I use water cooling, but not on my graphics card, didn't have enough money for the block. I don't like the risk of tearing off the stock cooler either. I just have an aftermarket cooler on it.
The reason my temps are so low is cause I use the air540 case. That alone will lower your temps by about 5-10C easily if you have good fans a good cpu cooler.
Before I stuck water cooling on I still was only going about 3-5C above ambient when idle.

Thank you. I've read this:
>You should not take aspirin, digoxin, and nitrofurantoin within three hours of taking psyllium because this fiber supplement decreases their absorption.
So I was worried it might also affect hormones or cypro. Are you sure it will be fine?
>>
>>8488740
I did think of that but i can't reasonably seeing it causing problems.
Those drugs you listed absorb due to enzymatic reactions in the gut. Aspirin gets converted to salicylic acid in the gut for example.
Technically estradiol valearate is reliant upon the same enzymes as aspirin in their metabolism.
The reason i say it doesn't matter is cause aspirin basically won't absorb as it is. It sits in your stomach until esterases cleave it to salycilic acid for the most part.
Estradiol valerate will absorb regardless of esterases. Actually food is supposed to boost absorption.
Cypro should not be affected

I don't have any specific studies to show you, it's just my assumptions

Kind of a strange question I haven't seen anyone bring up before. Eventually your body develops a resistance to drugs you take, this'll happen with antiandrogens too, right? So even if it took 10 years for Cypro, 10 years for Bica, you'd eventually run out of viable antiandrogens to take, right?
>>
>>8489140
You don't take raloxifene with estrogen, raloxifene uses the estrogen receptors. You can see it as a type of estrogen that doesn't give you boobs
>>
>>8489577
you can always take one more pill if you're immune system has gotten to that point then it'll take more to OD.

>>

>>
>>8489577
You're thinking of psychoactive and opiate drugs. Drug resistance occurs due to changes in your nervous system.
Antiandrogens shouldn't be affecting your nervous system. There's no mechanism for drug resistance
>>
>>8490600
great, i got worried for a second that I'd create some resistance to it
>>
>>8490620
Well I'd imagine there could be some changes in receptor activity over time but most AAs other than bica have a multipronged approach to their activity.
Even if cypro loses the ability to bind to androgen receptors it's still an enzyme inhibitor in your testes.
It's pretty unlikely though, and would probably have some serious health consequences if all of a sudden all of one type of receptor disappeared.

I know this isn't what you asked, but what is your purpose for taking Vaniqa? You do know that upon cessation of taking it after about 2 months you will have 80-90% of hair regrowth and after 4-5 months you will have 99-100% regrowth, right?

It shouldn't matter if you have washed or not. Vaniqa is the HCl salt so it will have high water solubility, low oil solubility so washing is ideal but shouldn't be a deal-breaker. It will absorb across sebum, just potentially slower. Sebum will form an emulsion with salts so it shouldn't hinder absorption in the sense that you'll be left with nothing absorbed, it might just take longer. I can't see it being any sort of major issue though.

Unfortunately I just don't know enough about the medication to answer the other two questions. I wouldn't recommend using it in other areas. It shouldn't theoretically interact with other facial creams but it depends what is in your cream. Like personally I use pgd2 blockers in my facial cream which would most likely interact with eflornithine, but if your cream is just basic oils you'll be fine.
It's just a medication that I'm not exceptionally familiar with, sorry. Even my answers here are kind of the best I can think of in regards to medications in general not specifically eflornithine.

Have you checked your thyroid? Have you checked your prolactin? Have you checked your liver?

I would be primarily concerned with your thyroid first and foremost as estrogen tends to bring out latent hyperthyroidism issues in people.
>>

To the best of my knowledge you cannot. You can, however, attend a clinic that caters to trans individuals in your state. Many of these clinics will permit you to pay for your visit and medications on-site with or without cash transaction. Many of these clinics will ask for identifying information, however I have seen a few undocumented immigrants at many of these clinics and undocumented immigrants rarely possess documents of any official nature. So if you're underage and afraid your parents might learn just say you have no dox and hope they don't push too much into it? Or, and this is what I planned to do, file a permit to the county registering a business, set up a P/O box in the name of said business, go to Sigma Aldrich, order 17-beta-estradiol powder and your blocker of choice, get a milligram scale and hope you can at least measure out a solid 8mg without finding out if there's a lethal dose.

It's a little bit strange that no one ask about which one is better bica or cypro. So, I want to ask you, my senpai: Which one is better for HRT?
>>
I'm MtF 14 months into HRT and only weigh 138lbs (62kg) at 5'11 (180cm) of height. Would putting on a few pounds help my body gain more feminine curves or should I leave my weight as it is?

I'm doing legit hrt at the moment, but I've just lost my insurance and I'm not very happy with my doctor desu. Would it be a good idea to just switch to diy? I'm thinking I should because then I can order cypro instead of spiro too, but I'm worried if I do I might lose my prescription or something.

It depends on your goals and what risks you're willing to take.

Bicalutamide retains muscle mass and sexual function. It doesn't decrease your testosterone levels; it only blocks testosterone from binding to the androgen receptor. This leads to naturally increased estradiol levels, but makes it difficult to judge its effectiveness through blood tests. It has very few side effects, but has been subject to less study than cyproterone acetate (it was discovered 20 years later).

Cyproterone acetate blocks both the production and the binding of testosterone. It is also progestogenic, unlike bicalutamide. This means you can use blood tests to guide your dosage. Unlike bicalutamide, it will make your testes shrink and make it more difficult to get an erection. Cyproterone acetate comes with a higher risk of depression (20%) and poor liver function (10%, compared to 3% for bicalutamide). It also has a higher incidence of abnormally high prolactin levels.

Personally, I think cyprogerone acetate is a better choice for most trans women, unless you experience depression or some other side effect.
>>
>>8494807
>>8498195
Ugh, I should have proofread that. To clarify: the fact that cyproterone acetate blocks the production of testosterone is the reason you can use blood tests to guide the dosage.
>>
>>8498195
>>8498211
not that anon, but if you are taking bica, how are you supposed to monitor levels then?
>>
>>8498249
You can't as far as I'm aware.
>>
About to order some stuff online, I need a two month supply of Cyproterone and Estrofem and have not started HRT yet.

How much should I buy?

The guide seems to say take 2mg of Estrofem 2x per day "take one dose at night, and one in the morning" but then on the site it says "do not double dose" and to only take 2mg per day.

What do?

As for Cyproterone, the guide says take dose after food and at night, does that mean after every meal or just after dinner?

So for two months how many tablets of Estrofem would I need, and how many of Cyproterone?

Britbong here,

Started taking Cerelle 75micrograms. it's a desogestrel, when I first read up I thought this was all I was going to need. but upon further inspection I've come to the conclusion that it is a synthetic "AA" and doesn't contain estrogen.

I've gone a confused myself.

Also. what are these? I came across them when looking for anti-androgens.

Pic related, I just want them killer hips.Bonus: Does anyone have tips for getting rid of shavers rash? Any friction brings me out in itchy bumps.
>>
>>8498321
It sounds like you were taking progestin birth control pills.
Glucosamine is used for osteoporosis.

I'd suggest reading the image in the first post for what to order. You'll need an anti androgen like bicalutamide, cyproterone acetate, or spironolactone as well as estradiol (which can be either pills or injections).
>>
>>8498330
>effects of taking progestin
>>
>>8498365
Well if you want to keep taking it and think it will have decent enough antiandrogenic and estrogenic effects go for it. Personally I wouldn't bother though. Birth control is also usually too low of a dosage to do much.
>>
>>8498375
>estrogenic
but it doesn't contain estrogen? and only has the secondary effect of an aa? forgive me.
>>
>>8498379
Some progestins are estrogenic if you take high enough dosages.
You'd probably need to take 15-30 birth control pills a day to get effects equivalent to normal HRT.
>>
>>8498384
I don't have that many ;) I'll see how I get on for the time being, thank you.
>>
>>8498397
Make sure the progestin that is in those pills isn't androgenic.
Some progestins are estrogenic, some are androgenic, some don't do anything.
>>
>>8498403
Which is the likely case?
>>
>>8498556
From what info I can find on Cerelle yes it appears to be androgenic. If you're ftm it'll be good though lol

I have a question

I'm starting HRT as a femboy, without raloxifene, in the next weeks.

And i'm worried i'm starting to get bald, my hairline started to recend over the past months and i myy genetics are really bad (my grandpa AND father both gone bald at 19 and i'm 18). I can notice it getting worse every single day.

I'll take Cypro. The first day i take cypro, it will stop the male bald pattern and i'm saved? Or do i need finasteride too?

Cypro and finasteride work the same way about preventing me to go bald? It's starting on my temples but i'm confident i can make it grow back.

Also, cypro alone is enough to make some hair grow back or this is Estrogen work?
>>
>>8498668
It's probably okay to take bicalutamide on its own. Normally it's a bad idea to take antiandrogens alone because it will cause osteoporosis. However, because bicalutamide causes an increase in estrogen levels, it leads to less loss in bone mineral density. In fact, it would found to cause no decrease in bone mineral density in elderly male patients.

Taking bicalutamide at lower doses may have the opposite effect from what you want. Bicalutamide causes an increase in testosterone and DHT levels (by blocking the negative feedback loop in the HPG axis). Bicalutamide has a lower binding affinity to the androgen receptor than DHT, and only competes with it in concentration. So if you don't take a high enough dose of bicalutamide, your DHT levels could increase without effectively being blocked by bicalutamide, leading to further masculinization. I haven't calculated what the threshold is, but presumably you could figure it out if you looked up the pharmacokinetic data for bicalutamide and the binding affinity of DHT.
>>
>>8498917
You can combine cypro and fina and it will be more effective than cypro alone. I'm not sure what might happen without E though. Cause sometimes having too low of hormones causes hair loss. But I think it really depends on the person.

Temple hair is very hard to recover though just in general. Usually people end up getting transplants.
Can you still see vellus hair there? You should also use minoxidil and try and kind of revive the hair.
There's also kind of experimental methods of recovering hair using pdg2 blockers injected into the scalp or sometimes people take them normally and from most reports everyone says they are quite a bit more effective than fina and duta. But pdg2 blockers will regrow hair even if the follicles were previously dead according to some early research where it was kind of injected into the scalp using microneedles. I'm not sure about when it's taken orally though. Supposedly follicle regrowth can only occur when the epidermis is damaged which is why they used the microneedles to damage the skin.
But other than that you'll need hair transplants if it's quite bad.
>>
>>8498717
I've read of other people having that reaction from cypro. What dose did you start with? Perhaps you started with too high a dose.
>>
>>8499271
It's not bad yet , there's some vellus hair and i can hide it with bangs, but it's getting worse everyday.

That's nice to know, i may end up getting on both and trying minoxidil. I don't plan to stay too long without E (like 5 months AT MAX) so i hope it doesn't affect my hair in a bad way

Thank you
>>
>>8499274
I was doing 50mg bica and 12.5mg cypro. And was going to slowly move the cypro up and lower the bica till cypro was at 50 and bica at 0.

Any ideas for AAPs that just want a more masculine voice or is it still "just take t and hope you don't end up an ugly bald manlet before it happens"
>>
>>8499262
thanks for that, I'd take a normal dosage then. (I'm very skinny so maybe a small dose would work? not sure if size applies to hormones or not)
is there somewhere I could read up on side effects? (of bica specifically or just not having a prominant hormone in the body)
i'm a femboy wanting to block T, but i worry about potential hair loss and other consequences from dropping too much and not using additional estrogen.

They posted in pmol though.. that's like 160pg/ml which is pretty spot on the 100-200 range (though some say 150-250 but still within range).

That's pretty high, you should be--

Females:
110 ~ 440 (pmol/L)
30 ~ 120 (pg/ml)

Males:
55 ~ 220 (pmol/L)
15 ~ 60 (pg/ml)
>>
>>8502579
Yeah, it seems high, but I'm on such a puny dose. Maybe my body is receptive to change in hormones?
>>
>>8502688
It would be the other way around rather, that your body is not using up the estradiol it gets delivered, so it stocks up.
>>
>>8502579
Trannies' E reference range is twice as high as women to account for lack of menstrual cycles and being able to process more sex hormones than cis women
Good levels are around 250pg/ml, 120 is just pathetic
>>
>>8502688
Try 2mg. I'm on 2mg and I'm around the 380 mark.
>>
>>8502729

Should I be worried if this turns out to be the case? I started like three months ago and already experienced many changes so I thought it was working great.
>>
>>8502792
it is working great. you guys are dumb for being hung up about levels. if it works all good.
>>
>>8502792
It's fine, the body can't "stock up" on estradiol
>>
>>8502795
>>8502811
Okay thanks then I'll just assume my body is appropriately receptive and not worry about it.

On the side, I'm about 117 lbs right now and still have male shape. Would it be better to go to lowest healthy weight then regain on female distribution or just start cycling gaining and losing repeatedly?
Of course I do exercise 6/7 days of the week too.
>>
>>8502846
The thing I did was being thin all my life and then gaining fat 2 years into HRT. Worked out great, so yeah I think losing and gaining fat again is a good idea.
>>
>>8502729
For Spiro it makes sense but wouldn't Cypro be the equivalent of not being able to create sex hormones since it attacks the gonads and eventually castrates you chemically?

http://www.hemingways.org/GIDinfo/hrt_ref.htm
States 370 as highest on the estradiol list.
>>
>>8502274
FSH primary purpose is for doing things in either your testes in men or ovaries in women.
But a low FSH can indicate potential issues with your pituitary gland or thyroid.
You should be checking your prolactin levels and thyroxine levels to make sure it is not causing any issues.
If you have hyperprolactinemia you may need to try different forms of estrogen and different AAs

I'm going to self med. I have the option to get a micronized 17-beta Estradiol (generic) wich is 28 pills with 1mg of estradiol each one. This means i should take 2 pills, one at night, and one at morning?

Also, there's another version of these pills, slightly more expensive, wich is composed of 1mg Estradiol + 0,5mg norethisterone enanthate. Is it better than the first one?

Would cyproterone be causing a low FSH? Since it kills your nuts, wouldn't it be making you infertile that a low FSH makes sense?
My prolactin and thyroid levels are normal and there's absolutely nothing wrong across the board. My hormonal levels are just fine, as is other stuff (Doctor gives me a 'fresh sweep' of everything each time, including vitamins and way more)

Alternatively all I can think is that maybe the alcohol I had drank few days prior could be affecting the result.

It feels like a literal marble right under your nipple itself. It's hard, almost like the joints in your fingers.

You wont develop any breast fat until you develop the gland itself; You'll feel the hard marble-sized gland being created/formed and then over many months the fat will begin to form.
